im sorry for more spur-of-the-moment theory thoughts but it’s halloween until i go to sleep and im trying to rewatch some of the past ego videos with this new video in context.

AND SO I WAS WATCHING DARK SILENCE AND EXILES AND JUST REWATCHED CHASE

and i go back to the ending of the hallway scene

we know that this is the day anti presumably attacked chase’s family. and right before the video cuts out, we see Anti LITERALLY GOING AFTER CHASE.

but then the video cuts to black. and two days later we see chase literally appear out of no where in exiles, completely unaware of how he got there and out of breath.

the whole video is him being confused, jumpcuts interrupting him. and ends with whispers of “it’s all your fault. you did this. it’s all your fault” as chase’s eyes bleed.

AND NOW CHASE, WHICH HAS A REFERENCE TO THE DAY DARK SILENCE WAS UPLOADED IN THE CASE NUMBER:

which has Chase being followed by Anti

mourning his lost family

right before being teleported all of a sudden, with the time of day changed and him again being out of breath and unaware of what the heck just happened.

What if Chase was supposed to die in Dark Silence? what if anti was just about to kill him until Marvin intervened? just like how Chase might’ve been in danger of Anti in CHASE until he was transported in space and time to a parking deck in the evening, Marvin transported Chase in Dark Silence to two days ahead and to his normal room doing a normal letsplay in order to save him on that day?

and yes, chase’s eyes were bleeding at the end of exiles. maybe either as a residual effect of what we now know is magic marvin wasn’t supposed to do, or maybe as a reminder from Anti that this wasn’t over. But now those words, “ITS ALL YOUR FAULT. YOU DID THIS.” what if it is Anti reminding Marvin that despite protecting chase all this time, it was still him and his magic that started this path with Anti? 

that no matter how much marvin is trying to fix the what Anti has wrought upon Chase, Jack, Schneep, etc, it will always be his fault. 

he did this.

im writing up some notes on the video and i notice something:

on the top it says “time meddling lead to dismissal”. SO ONE, WE KNOW HOW MARVIN PROBABLY GOT KICKED OUT.

and two, this indicates that the darker notes might be moreso personally from marvin than the rest of the notes on the pages.

like IRIS=Antimatter and the scribbled out words on the argentum inanis page

these events have been playing out over a long period of time. like canonically YEARS. so maybe what we’re seeing here isnt the first time of marvin using the silver empty but him reflecting on using it several times before and seeing what has been the result of it.

so marvin already has experience with seeing (and as the thumbnail shows) experiencing the black eyes that appear whenever in contact with anti HENCE “IRIS=antimatter”

and all the information about the creature under argentum inanis is blacked out because he knows first hand the dangers of it! maybe even blacked out for the good of others (like how Anti says “you all said my name” and how he feeds of the attention we give him. so maybe even reading information ABOUT him and what he is could be so dangerous it warrants never being read/brought attention to)

also this is slightly not related BUT I FEEL LIKE ANTI IS THAT CREATURE IN THE PIC! or at least some hybrid of that creature that took jack’s form and has been that way since SAY GOODBYE.

regardless, i think marvin knows that what he’s doing is definitely wrong and yet continues to look into chase and jack and schneep and the others. maybe the scene of him being surrounded by flames and possibly being possessed himself by anti

is a fortune telling of his doomed future if he continues along this path. but maybe he has to finish what he started, in order to make things right.
