erm i had a LOT of fun haha i kind of went over the top, I wanted to emphasise the expression and scariness lol

i'm really proud of the shading and colouring I think it looks great

I spent 4 hours on just this simple bust that's way too long but I think it was worth it I really like how fun this is

random sketches (tried using no guidelines and just... drawing just putting it down line for line, although tbh most of the time I already do that unless I'm drawing a significant amount of the body, cuz I want to establish where the head is in relation to the body and what angle the head is at) of people plus some desserts cuz I love desserts and I never draw anything but people even though I'm actually quite good at drawing food (at least what other ppl have told me)

also i will obv draw guidelines when it's an established character or someone I haven't drawn before cuz I wanna get the face correct and looking specifically like the character

no i didnt draw the rest of her cuz this was just a basic sketch and i thought it was good enough to colour and render

magma filters are great but they NEED to add a blend brush and cool effects

we dont talk about the hands ok i couldnt care less 😭 and i did this quickly but i can draw hands ok i just didnt try

i worked on this for way too long (5 hours 💀) I really wanted to do some nice rendering idk why it's just satisfying

couldnt make out some things like the colours and small details cuz your image was a bit messy/dimly lit but I hope that's ok

i def made the colours more saturated than they really are but that's mostly a conscious choice because I love bright colours

sooo glad i've been focusing on posing and anatomy for the past half a year I'm no longer intimidated by anything more than a bust and in fact I often try to include more of the body

i'm gonna be so prepped for artfight i'm ready to get at least a thousand points

no background because... uh i hate backgrounds so much I only have animals and backgrounds left to sorta master I hate that at least in the past I could practice drawing faces or hands or something but I've basically gotten that all down

crazy that just a couple months ago I couldn't render hair at all

pattern was a pain but thats my fault because I REFUSE to just copy and paste cuz then it looks weird and doesn't really cling to the fabric

puma guy reference for my artfight i gotta draw more of these but they're kinda a pain but they help me figure out stuff about the character!! lock in their proportions and stuff so I draw them consistently and know what I'm doing

i hate drawing symmetry i mean im not aiming for it to be perfectly symmetrical cuz that's creepy af and unnatural and some elements of his design are purposefully asymmetrical (barely noticeable but his eyebrows for example I hate how I put small details no one will ever even see or think about)

but this took so long to correct i was constantly flipping my canvas… now I'm thinking about how I'll have to do like 9 more of these and probably have to redo them by july cuz I'll have improved and will hate my old art

crossing my fingers that i can just do small edits or liquify by the time artfight happens I don't wanna have to redo everything

i saw the teeniest hummingbird just now anyone know what species this is?? it was so small it could fit in my palm and it flew by really fast, oh this was in California bay area btw, the green part was iridescent that's what that shine is lol

never seen this before thats why im asking usually I see the green and pink one, it especially caught my eye cuz its neck was SO red like bright scarlet red

also cuz... you dont usually see hummingbirds in winter idk whats up with this lil guy do hummingbirds get lost 😭

im not a zoological artist (or anyone who can draw animals in general ngl) don't judge but it was chubby so that part is intended

brooo it's literally like infinitely long man but ig i can tell you a little bit about it?

so there's this silly guy named JAYDEN who's trying to overthrow the kingdom without being found out (and he discovers many disturbing secrets while doing so) with the help of the literal Prince of said kingdom. magical hijinks, spirits, demons, and even space arcs (aliens?!) to follow. also LOTS of lgbtq+ stuff lol. forgot to mention, GENERATIONAL TRAUMA

I... i dont have a title yet bro I need one STAT 😭 I've literally technically been developing parts of this story for SIX YEARS, but I still don't have a freaking title and I haven't even come up with names for half of my group of main characters. idk man drawing and making character designs is EASY, but names???

everytime i write about my comic it sounds dumb af, but this is why I chose a COMIC which expresses stuff more through visuals than writing lol
