I walked into my Chinese language class and looked around at the empty seats. The lack of students wasn’t that surprising to me. I was 15 minutes early, after all. I sat in the front row seat taking the books out of my backpack when I heard a familiar voice.
“Y/N! Hey!”
I looked up to see my best friend, Marina, and raised an eyebrow.
“Since when are you interested in learning Mandarin, M?”
“Oh I’m not at all,” Marina sat down and ran one of her perfectly manicured hands through her hair, “but you were the only friend in our group taking it and I didn’t want you to be lonely.”
She gave me a wink as I smiled at her.
“Thanks, babe. But this really is a tough class. You’ll definitely have to study hard if you want to pass.”
“Then I guess I’ll have to find a cutie to tutor me.”
I rolled my eyes at my love-crazed friend. It’s not like she’d have any trouble, though. Nearly every person she encountered fell for her. She wasn’t picky with gender, either. I remember when she came out to me several years ago. She wasn’t ashamed about it, quite the opposite, actually. I remember her throwing her head back in laughter.
“No one is safe from me! I will woo everyone and I cannot be stopped! I am invincible!”
I was pulled back to reality when Marina spoke again.
“You know, I’ve actually heard there’s a few cuties in this class.”
“Oh yeah? How’d you find that out?”
She chuckled and whispered, “Ancient Chinese secret.”
“Oh my god, M.”
As if on que, a group of three young men walked in. One was incredibly tall with bright red hair, another shorter with a light brown mullet, and another with a perfect, gummy smile.
They laughed at whatever joke the smaller one had told and looked around the classroom. By that point several people had trickled in, so finding a seat was slightly more difficult. Gummy-smile-guy looked at me and winked. He was, unfortunately, handsome. I looked away and cleared my throat, moving my gaze over to Marina, instead. She gave me a knowing smile, but said nothing. They eventually found seats towards the center row, just a few seats behind us.
After a few moments, Marina leaned close to me.
“Listen I’m just saying...I call dibs on the redhead. Did you see the way he was looking at me? He’s a damn fine man. You; however, ought to make a move on Mr. Flirty.”
“That’s seriously the best nickname you could come up with?”
“Listen. I’m getting ready to study a whole new language and I’m trying to save my brain power, y/n.”
Before I could respond to her, our professor entered. She seemed to be a middle-aged woman, wearing a classy dress with her hair tied up in a tight, neat bun. She carried several books in her hands and walked to the podium in the middle of the room.
As she sat down her books, she began speaking Mandarin at a relatively fast pace. I had never taken a Chinese class, but in preparation I studied the language for several months prior. I understood the majority of what she was saying and felt proud of myself for understanding.
“Alright class. Who would like to translate what I just said?”
My hand shot up after a second or so, giving my brain extra time to process her words.
“Good morning and welcome, everyone. This is Intro. to Chinese Language 101. If you are in the wrong class please leave, and if not, congratulations, you are in the right room,” I recited.
The professor raised her eyebrows in surprise.
“What’s your name young lady?”
“Oh! My name is y/n, 老师.”
She gave me a warm smile and nodded.
“Very well. I expect much from you, y/n.”
I smiled widely at her praise. To my side I could see Marina shaking her head at me and heard her whisper “Show off.”
As class continued I tried my best to answer what I could, but of course I couldn’t answer everything. It seemed that an unfamiliar young man and I took turns answering almost every question. I liked that. Bring on the competition.
Class ended sooner than I had liked and before long I was packing up my things.
“So where are you headed now?” Marina asked.
“Actually this is my break period. I’ve got an hour before my next class so I’m going to get some lunch.”
“Oh sweet! Me too!”
A deep voice that I didn’t recognize made me turn around.
“I think I’ll tag along, then.”
I looked up at the man with bright red hair and leaned my head to the side, noticing his two friends standing close to him.
“And who are you?” I asked.
He stuck out his hand for me to shake and gave a warm smile.
“Mingi Song. And you?”
Although his words were directed at me, he was looking at Marina, waiting for her to respond, instead.
I shook his hand and his gaze turned back to me.
“I’m y/n,” I pointed to Marina, who was already ogling Mingi, “and this is my friend Marina.”
Mingi picked up one of her hands and kissed it gently, “What a beautiful name you have, Marina.”
Mingi leaned closer to Marina and continued to flirt with her, pulling out every trick in the book. I’d seen this dance countless times with Marina and knew where it was going. I slid on my backpack and began to walk out.
“See ya, M! I’ll be at the cafeteria if you need me!”
She lazily waved back as I smiled at her. I took no more than a few steps before I heard someone running behind me. I turned around to see gummy-smile himself, secretly cursing myself when my heartbeat skipped.
“Y/n?”
“Yeah? What’s up?”
He took a moment before speaking and actually looked a little shy. It only showed on his face for a moment though, before he smiled confidently.
“Can I come with you to lunch?”
“I mean I guess, but I don’t even know your name yet.”
“Oh shit you’re right,” He smiled, “I’m Jongho.”
His smile. Damn his smile. Now that I could see him closer I actually got a good look at him. His fluffy dark brown hair with his forehead partially exposed, perfect facial proportions, and - oh god - he was really fit. His short-sleeved shirt showed the strong muscles in his arms just slightly enough to let you know that they were there. And of course, I knew.
“So are you gonna keep checking me out or are you gonna walk to lunch with me?”
His comment threw me off guard and I blushed, quickly shaking my head.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Jongho.”
“...可爱.”
Guys, I need help. I just spent an hour working on my latest post and when I saved it, all of my work was gone. It just completely disappeared. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what’s happening, but I’m so upset because I was so proud of how it was turning out. Has this happened to anyone else? I honestly don’t know how to fix it and I don’t even know if I’m able to get my progress at this point. Any and all comments help at this point. I’m so sorry guys

You sat around your shared kitchen table, various childhood crafts and supplies splayed across the wood. The minute San heard you had never made a macaroni necklace, he dragged you to the nearest craft store and bought an assortment of noodles and other supplies to make up for your “terribly sad childhood,” according to San.
You had to admit you were a bit confused though. If he wanted you to make a macaroni necklace so bad, why did he keep stealing your noodles? Sure, he was making his own necklace, but there were plenty of noodles for the both of you.
The bastard.
“If you don’t stop that I will actually break your kneecaps.” You scolded, looking not at all intimidating as you tried to hide your smile.
San threw his head back and laughed before he stole another noodle from your hands, “Ah come on, let me have a little fun.”
“I don’t appreciate your mockery of my art,” You motioned to the necklace he was holding, “Besides, we’ve got plenty of pasta so stick to your own necklace, you monster.”
He smiled as he took another glance at the macaroni necklace in your hands, “I’m pretty sure you’re doing it wrong.”
“Okay that’s it.” You stood up and pounced on his shoulders, laughing as he feigned being hurt.
He shook you off, gently tossing you to the floor. San fell down with you, his arms outstretching to prop himself up. As he leaned closer to your lips you felt your heartbeat quicken.
You spoke in barely a whisper, “That was very rude of you, you know that?”
San raised a brow and gave you a lopsided smile, “Oh you were totally asking for it, though.”
“Was not.”
“You actual child.”
“You were the one who suggested we make macaroni necklaces and you’re calling me a chi-?”
The man pressed a quick kiss to your lips to stop you from talking. His plush lips moved in time with yours and you giggled as you felt him smile against your kiss.
“Actually,” San murmured against your lips, “I think your necklace looks great. I just like how cute you look when I give you hell.”
“How charming.”
“Oh you love me.” San whispered as he nuzzled his nose against your neck, making you squirm at the ticklish sensation.
Your eyes crinkled as you smiled, love in your eyes. “I’ll deny that ‘till my dying breath.” The way you said it, it might as well have been ‘I love you.’ After all, the silver band around your left ring finger said otherwise.
Welcome, friends! You can call me Doe! If you want more info on something or have questions feel free to message me! :))

ꕥPairing: FemReader! x Idol!Seonghwa
ꕥWord Count: 1.1k
ꕥWarnings: Language and just so👏much👏fluff👏
ꕥA/N: This entire thing is just so damn fluffy and so wholesome I need a Seonghwa-
“Perhaps this was a bad idea.” I giggled, attempting to look at myself in the mirror.
“No!” Seonghwa laughed, turning me around to face him, “You don’t get to look until I’m done.”
I sighed, looking at his big puppy dog eyes and giving in, “Okay, okay.”
He put down the eye shadow brush and picked up my black eyeliner resting on the counter. He laughed as he saw my wide eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got steady hands.”
“It’s not that I don’t believe you...” I paused, not quite sure how to word my next sentence.
“But?” Seonghwa raised a brow.
I smiled, “Please don’t poke my eyes out, babe.”
He laughed and pressed a kiss to my cheek, assuring me he’d be careful. He twisted the cap off of the eyeliner and placed it on the sink counter I was sitting on. Moving a hand under my chin he gently lifted my head.
“Close your eyes, baby.”
I complied, shutting my eyes. I felt a brush pressing to my eyelids and I held my breath, knowing that the slightest movement would likely mess him up.
“Oh fuck.”
I laughed, my eyes still closed, “Did you mess up?”
Seonghwa was quiet before letting out an embarrassed “no” which only made me laugh harder.
“You can use the makeup wipes if you need. They’re in my makeup bag.”
“No, actually I think I can work with this.”
“Oh yeah?” I opened my eyes.
“Yeah.” He tiled his head, a smug smile on his face, “And you wanna know why?”
“Enlighten me.”
He pressed a kiss to my lips, playfully biting my bottom lip as he pulled away, “Because your man is the best, baby.”
I flushed as he sent a wink my way and I hid my face with a hand to conceal my pink cheeks.
“No don’t cover up your face, you look so adorable when you blush.” He pulled my hand down and intertwined his fingers with mine.
“Why do you do this to me?” I chuckled.
“You should know by now that my sole mission in life is to make you flustered.”
“Well you’re getting very good at it.” I lovingly bit back.
“I’d like to think so. Now close your eyes again, dear. I must perfect my work.”
I once more closed my eyes, listening to the sound of his breathing and enjoying the feeling of his sweet touches on my face. Although we didn’t always have the chance to go out on dates because of his job as an idol, we took every spare moment we could get. Calm moments like this were my favorite. When we had the time to just relax and enjoy each other’s company, it felt like the world stopped for a moment. All of our worries and fears were gone the moment we laid eyes on the other.
Seonghwa let out a hum of approval. “Your eyeliner is done so all that’s left is your mascara, right?”
“You tell me, you’re the one in charge.”
“Hell yeah I am.” He ruffled my hair and I swatted him away with a smile.
With a short laugh he opened the tube of mascara and applied a thin layer, doing surprisingly well. When he was satisfied with his work he closed the tube and set it in the bag with the rest of my makeup.
“Okay. I think I’m done, babe.”
“I expect great things, Seonghwa.”
He cringed, “Maybe...don’t.”
I laughed once more, “Oh I’m nervous now.”
I hopped down from the sink and turned around, looking at myself in the mirror. Honestly, it wasn’t bad. My eye shadow was blended well and mascara looked evenly applied. My blush didn’t look overdone and my foundation wasn’t cakey. He had attempted winged eyeliner and they were quite obviously crooked, not to mention two very different sizes, but it was so endearing I couldn’t complain.
I made eye contact with him in the mirror, “It’s honestly not bad, babe.”
“Your eyeliner kinda looks like shit, though.”
“Oh it does not. Eyeliner is hard to get right sometimes.” I turned and wrapped my arms around him, “You did wonderful.”
Seonghwa’s face lit up, his eye smiles on full display. “I’ve been trying to play more attention to when I get my makeup done so I could do yours well.”
“It looks great,” I looked up at him, “Would you like me to do yours?”
“Sure, why not?”
Roughly an hour and two dozen kisses later, I’d finished Seonghwa’s makeup. I wasn’t a makeup artist by any means, but I was proud of the way it turned out. It was natural, but brought out his best features. He looked incredibly handsome.
“Alright your turn to look.”
Seonghwa eyed himself in the mirror, “Damn I look kinda hot.”
“You always look hot, babe.”
“Well yeah but now I look extra hot.”
I pulled him into a kiss with a smile, “You do indeed.”
We shared a silent moment, holding each other and drowning in each other’s warmth. Seonghwa’s soft sweater made me snuggle against his chest and in turn he nuzzled my head.
“It’s almost lunch time, do you wanna make some food?”
“Ooh yeah! Let’s make those sandwiches you made last time!” I bounced on my toes.
“You really liked them, huh?”
I raised a finger to poke him on the nose, “Duh. You made them so of course I love them. I love everything that you make because it comes from you.”
Seonghwa’s ears turned red as he averted his eyes. He had warmed up to a lot of my compliments since we started dating, but he still had moments where he got shy and I couldn’t help but tease him about it.
“Who’s flustered now, huh?”
His eyes snapped back to mine, his dark eyes somehow becoming darker, “Oh now you’re in for it.”
I squealed and ran out of the bathroom, darting through the living room and dodging all our furniture. Just as I reached the kitchen I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me back. Our laughter synchronized as my back collided against his chest. Seonghwa trapped me in his arms and peppered my neck in kisses.
“Nooo let me go!” I said with a smile, not at all trying to escape.
“Oh you love it.”
I didn’t say anything as I turned around and pressed a kiss to his lips. Placing a hand on his cheek I whispered, “I love you.”
His eyes sparkled, “I love you too, baby. More than you’ll ever know.”
I want to make a post as a form of assurance for everyone reading this, and for myself. As you all know at this point, my boyfriend and I broke up almost two months ago. I’m not gonna lie, it still hurts. Sometimes it hurts just as much as the day he broke up with me. Heartbreak is painful. It isn’t easy and there are days where you feel like it’s hard to do anything, even the things you’re passionate about. It’s hard to move on when someone you thought you could’ve loved or did love is doing okay. It’s even worse when you see them smile and act as if nothing ever happened. It is going to hurt. But you’re stronger than this. I am stronger than this. It’s okay to take time for yourself to just feel it. To give yourself time to heal. You will grow from this, and you will make it out. It doesn’t feel like it right now, god it doesn’t feel like it right now, but we’ll make it out together. We will be okay.
