No context DR mood board

No Context DR Mood Board
No Context DR Mood Board

I've never made a mood board before in my life so please go easy on me. I just saw everyone posting theirs and decided I wanted to give it a go... but not tell anyone what my DR is?

Maybe this will serve as a teaser and I'll eventually tell you guys more about this DR if there's interest. But for now I'm too shy so... no context mood board! 😅

Turned out like absolute shit. Back to square one.

Spent 6 hours yesterday gathering and cleaning audio of my s/o to make a voice clone of them and now I'm back at it again today.

Could I do this with only a minute or so of sample data? Yes. Would I be satisfied if it wasn't absolutely perfect? No.

So here I am settling down for several more hours of work, just so I can hear Him say whatever I want in this reality.

If you never hear from me again it's because I finally ran the voice cloner and it turned out shit so I jumped into the sea.

Beginner Mindset

Recently while doing a tarot reading for myself about my shifting journey, I drew a card that said I needed to "embrace a beginner mindset". I've been thinking a lot about what that means, and as a results I've begun the process of starting my shifting journey from scratch. Coincidentally, I’ve also seen a lot of posts from others about going back to that baby shifter feeling, when it's all about being IN your DR not GETTING TO your DR; thinking about the end result, not the way of getting there.

In that vein, today I saw a YouTube video about training your brain to lucid dream after years of failure, and re-capturing the feeling of excitement around it. I’ve decided I'm going to apply the techniques outlined there to shifting.

These were the main points:

List out all the things you're excited to do in a lucid dream and highlight your top three

Think throughout the day, “This is a dream” and then imagine if this was a dream, what you would do to take control and achieve one of your top three things.

Keep lucid dreaming at the forefront of your mind throughout the day

There were other points too, but these are the ones I think are most applicable to shifting. So from now on I'm going to focus on one DR, and start keeping that at the front of my mind and think about all the things I'm excited to do while shifting there.

I’ve already started by writing the list of 20 things and highlighted my top three (let me know if you want to see a follow-up post with my list). From here, throughout the day, rather than tell myself I’m dreaming, I’m going to go, “Oh, I’ve shifted!” and then imagine that instead of being wherever I am, that I’m currently experiencing something from that list. Preferably the top three, but it was very hard to pick just three things so I don’t see why I can’t expand it to more. The idea was to increase my desire to go to/excitement over that DR anyway, and that has definitely happened.

I’ve been thinking for a while that the reason some people might be having more success than me, is that for a very long time now I’ve found it really hard to daydream. I don’t know why, given I used to do it every night to help me sleep, but for years now it’s like I keep stopping myself, like it's silly or something. Being a writer I often get too caught up in what’s realistic or a good plot/scene rather than just enjoying the process, so I can absolutely see how I could get in my own way like that.

My hope is that giving myself these parameters like, “Imagine you’re actually having lunch in [x] right now!” or “Imagine what it would be like to learn [y]!” will help make daydreaming more achievable. Rather than imagining bigger stories, I’m just living through those tiny everyday moments. And from what I’ve heard from some of the bigger experienced shifters, imagining those everyday moments can really help your subconscious start to see your DR as a real place rather than a fantasy.

At the very least I’m going to try and do it every day for a week. Given I find it really hard to build habits, I’m not expecting to remember to do this very often in the first few days, so I’ll definitely be extending the experiment to up to three weeks if necessary.

Anyway, thanks for reading my first post and another Big Brave Step for me into the shifting community after two years of mostly lurking. Please send love and encouragement so I can do more of these. I'd definitely be down to blog how the experiment goes from day to day, or answer asks about my DRs (I have so many 😅).

shifting is comfortability

Shifting Is Comfortability
Shifting Is Comfortability

Do what feels right for you. If you believe that drinking water will make you shift, then so be it.

I think the reason why a lot of people struggle with shifting is because they may be putting aside their own needs and forcing what works for others onto themselves.

You will not be comfortable.

If you don’t like meditation but you’ve seen it work for people, then don’t force it upon yourself. Shifting is a very personal journey.

That’s why some stuff may work for other people and not for you, but thats okay. It’s not the end all be all.

Write down shifting attempts you remember and find out what got you close. With that you can make your method that is suited to your and your needs. If you believe this method will make you shift, then you WILL shift.

Okay I've been missing for a bit because I was trying something new that I saw on YouTube.

My OG plan died because I got bored of the DR I was shifting to and couldn't make myself keep daydreaming about it. But then I was on the Astral Projection subreddit and saw people talking about this one really helpful community member's YouTube channel. I decided to check it out and saw he had a video basically centred around "last ditch efforts to help you astral project". And since I know some people have managed to shift through astral projection, I've been trying it for the last three days.

What I basically did was ground myself. And no, I don't mean I molested every cushion in my living room or tried to make myself smell vanilla, I mean I treated myself like a naughty child and took away everything I considered fun and stimulating except for the knitting projects I'm working on. Every time I got frustrated or wanted to take a break and eat a nice snack or watch some TV I would tell myself, "Too bad. No snacks until you shift. No TV until you shift."

And let me tell you, literally day one I got results. After one trip to the supermarket with my boyfriend lamenting the fact I couldn't buy donuts or macarons or any of the nice things I was walking past, I went to sleep that night and had my first ever false awakening. Literally I have never had one in my life before, I try this and BAM!

But it was so much more than that.

I was struggling to sleep, so I put on an Alunir video because I find her voice really relaxing and I figured that even if I didn't shift from it I'd still fall asleep. I had random dreams for a bit that I don't remember, but then I was suddenly lying in my childhood bed at my parents' old house. As I was looking around the room I heard Alunir's voice still playing through my sleep mask and that made me realise I was dreaming.

Obviously as soon as I realised that I closed my eyes in the dream and tried to follow along with the prompts and visualise my DR, but everything started to shake and I heard growling and I got scared enough to wake up. Which is incredibly annoying because if you know anything about astral projection THOSE ARE TWO REALLY COMMON THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO PEOPLE RIGHT BEFORE THEY LEAVE THEIR BODY.

So I'm super mad that I got too scared and woke myself up, but at the same time I'm really excited because I think that's the most progress I've had in a long long time.

I didn't have anymore progress last night but it was really hot and I struggled to sleep. We just had a storm and things have cooled down a bit so I'm hoping tonight will be better. Wish me luck!!

---

Obviously because of this method I've mostly been on a social media ban but I figured I'd give a quick update to keep the blog active.

Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you can't Will you trust in what I'll tell you? Just for the duration of this post? You are not broken, not doing it wrong. There isn't anything like "not spiritual enough" or "not aligned enough", "not ready enough" or any of the crap that your inner doubts viciously whisper into your ear at 3AM. You are just a person, just human. Someone trying something so weird, hard, strange and yet something so beautiful like shifting, and something most of the world doesn't even believe in. That takes guts. Shifting isn't a linear, one-size-fits-all thing. Shifting isn't a video game you master by leveling up and spending thousands of hours on it. There is no test, finish line, invisible scoreboard you need to glance at. Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you are failing. Doesn't mean that you aren't trying hard enough or that you are missing something. Just means your 4D and your 3D haven't lined up yet. But that doesn't mean they never will. Honestly said, you could shift tonight. Tomorrow. Next week. In six months when you least expect it. You could shift in the middle of doing something completely unrelated. The nature of shifting seems to be unpredictable, personal and unproveable until you experience it yourself. Should I tell you something else? Nothing you ever did to shift was wasted. Not the time you spent scripting, visualizing, hoping, crying, failing and trying once again. It all matters in the moment, but once you reach your goal, it will not matter any longer how long it took you. You are not running backwards. You are simply on your own way, and maybe that way is a bit longer. You don't owe anyone a set deadline, not even yourself. Try to take the pressure off your shoulders, you are not a machine that can push itself to the limit forever. You are a soul, allowed to be tired and frustrated, allowed to take a break and come back when it feels right for you. Maybe try tonight. Or don't. Script, or don't. Listen to your heart and body, try when you feel like it, not when you have to force yourself. I promise you are close, the fucking door is still wide open. Your chance hasn't run away, it's there. It will all be worth it.

I love that you have essentially invented Mnemonic Induced Shifting.

Guess who just came up with a new super simple "method" to help people affirm and shift to their desired realities!!!

(I'll give you a hint. It's me.)

So, obviously we all know that methods are absolutely unnecessary when it comes to shifting. Like COMPLETELY unnecessary. They're just tools to help, but they aren't what make you shift. YOU make you shift.

But with that being said, I did just think of something that I believe will help a lot of people. Because we all know that there are still a lot of shifters that overcomplicate shifting, even if they aren't intending to. I think some people aren't even aware of it. But when you try for a super long time, I think some people subconsciously think it's more difficult than it is and struggle to believe that they'll shift during their attempt, even if they do believe in shifting. So I thought of this last night, and I think a lot of people will find it useful because it makes it feel a lot less complicated and lower stakes (in my personal opinion).

So I was thinking last night about how weird it is that I struggle with lucid dreaming more (don't worry, this is not about the lucid dream method), even though I have always had super vivid dreams my whole life and will even sometimes find myself in a dream partially aware that it's a dream, but still not really lucid. And I was thinking about how many times I've had dreams based on just thoughts I had before bed or like content I was interacting with before I fell asleep. Like I'll watch something and it'll be in my dreams, or I'll think of someone and they'll be in my dreams.

So I started thinking, why not use that to my advantage? I'm not even talking about using it to lucid dream and using the lucid dream method. I feel like that might work for some people, but it hasn't worked for me. No, this is much simpler. I was thinking, why not think of a specific thing to incorporate into the dream and when you see it in the dream, you know you'll shift. Hear me out for a second because this might be a bit hard for me to explain.

My theory for this method sort of follows the theory that sometimes when you're dreaming about your desired reality, you've actually shifted to that reality but you don't realize because you woke up in your cr. So dreaming is a process that involves your consciousness. Shifting is also something that involves your consciousness. When you communicate an idea to your subconscious, it holds onto that and it's part of how you get the dreams that you have. So for example, if you set your intention to have part of your dream take place in a grocery store, you can tell yourself that when you have that dream, you are in your desired reality. That your consciousness will know that when you dream that you're in a grocery store, you're actually in your desired reality and you will wake up there.

It's sort of like the lucid dream method, except you don't have to worry about the step of becoming lucid. Because I know part of the lucid dream method that a lot of people follow is that they'll make a portal and they'll shift through the portal. But a lot of people will use the lucid dream method to just set the intention of waking up in their desired reality and affirm to themselves that they're just dreaming in their desired reality at that moment. So it's like that, except you don't even have to become lucid.

So basically, all you have to do is think of something before bed. It can be a person, a place, an object, whatever. You could think of being in a store, or a friends house, or an open field, or think of talking to your s/o, or a family member, or a friend, or you could be around lava lamps, or a sword, or a basketball. Whatever. Just relax before you go to bed and affirm to yourself that something will be in your dream and let it happen. And maybe you'll become lucid too, which would also be great because then you can use the lucid dream method. But you don't have to. Just trust that it'll happen and that your consciousness will know that once you see xyz in your dream, that you are in your desired reality already.

I thought of this because I was thinking about how many times I've just thought of something and then it ended up in my dreams and I realized a good practice for affirming/setting intentions would be to just affirm what I want to see in my dreams and let it happen. But then I took it a step further and thought about applying it to shifting. It is a super simple, low stakes, lazy girl method. You don't have to do anything except relax, trust yourself, and dream. No laying in a specific position, no counting to 100, no subliminals or anything necessary (unless you want).

I just think it's such a great practice for anyone who has any doubts. I mean, you know that dreaming is real, right? You know that when you sleep at night, you'll be able to dream, right? So you can at the very least practice setting your intentions for your dreams. So even if you end up not waking up in your desired reality, you're at least getting in practice for affirming and setting your intention. And if you can do it in a dream, you can do it for shifting. Because it's all just tied to your consciousness.

A step by step example for anyone who needs a little extra clarity-

(And remember to take what resonates and leave what doesn't. You can do whatever feels right for yourself.)

Step one: do what you normally do to go to bed. You don't have to do anything extra unless you want to do anything extra. Do whatever you need to do to relax. I enjoy watching asmr before bed until I start feeling super relaxed and like I could fall asleep and then I'll turn on rain noises or brown noise or something like that to keep me in a relaxed state.

Step two: as you're relaxed, start thinking about what you want to see in your dream before you fall asleep. For this example, we'll say that I want it to snow in my dream. So I'll affirm to myself that it will snow in my dream. I'll say things like "I want it to snow in my dream" "at some point, it will be snowing in my dream" "it will be snowy in my dreams tonight" etc. Just do whatever works best for you.

Step three: as you start affirming and setting your intention, start incorporating shifting. Tell yourself that when you have that dream, you'll know you've shifted and you will wake up in your desired reality. I'd tell myself things like "when it's snowing in my dreams, I know I'm in my desired reality" "I am already asleep and dreaming in my desired reality" "I will wake up in my desired reality" "when I see the snow, I am already there" etc. Again, just say whatever you want.

Step four: go to sleep. That's it. Think about snow as you fall asleep (or whatever you want) and just trust yourself. This is a sleep method. Don't worry about "symptoms." There are no symptoms. Shifting is not a physical process. Don't worry about shifting while you're doing the method. You will shift in your sleep and wake up in your desired reality. That is the point. Trust yourself and really, genuinely believe that it will happen. Honestly, try not to even think about the act of shifting and focus more on just knowing that you'll wake up in your desired reality. Trust that when you're dreaming, you are dreaming in your desired reality.

If you decide to try this, let me know how it goes and how you like it. Remember, methods are not at all necessary to shift. And if you don't feel like this resonates with you, you don't need to try it at all. I just like it because it's simple, just like shifting is. You don't need elaborate methods. Just trust and intention.
