Skyward Sword has me FUCKED up man š
Stupid Baka game
This game is pushing all my buttons in a way that somehow even Adventure of Link didnāt
Sky deserves to crash out or go catatonic for a few years or something
Iāll post more eloquent and āthoughtā out thoughts and feelings when I finish it
Iām not sure how to communicate the next parts very well bc as of up to this point a lot of this AU was more concept and less story but itās kind of been evolving into a story. I donāt think I have enough plot, or energy, to write an actual fic so I hope this will suffice. Iām gonna try and do this thru bullet points.Ā
I also wanna say that Iām super open to suggestions. If thereās ever stuff youād rather hear about lmk. Iām always SUPER happy to talk
So here we go:
The beginning:
The maze is announced and almost everybody protests it. Very simply, this is inhumane. Like obviously so. People who arenāt immediately against it are relieved. Theyāve been waiting for the other shoe to drop for years.
Warriors is probably the only person who isnāt against it from the get go. Heās one of the only people, Artemis being the only other, thatās been raised in HYLIA since birth. He thinks that he understands what they do, that the maze is for the greater good of humanity. He agrees that there is no better way to study their bodies and brain waves than in a raw experiment that strips everything from its participants. That isnāt to say that he isnāt empathetic to his fellow participants (probably not a great term to call them). He understands the fear they must be feeling, but he knows that theyāll forget everything. The maze will soon be all they know. Maybe⦠it can actually become home.
Little Warriors characterization: He doesnāt know it here but heās starting to resent being used as the golden boy, being pushed into a ācaptainā role, by HYLIA. He sees the easy friendship the others have with each other that he will never have due to the role HYLIA has put him in. Theyāll never feel safe around Wars. He pines for a home that heās never known.
Some of them also believe HYLIA when theyāre told this is for the best of society. That being said, just because they believe that the ends will justify the means BUT they question why they donāt have a choice in this.Ā
Legend is the first, and loudest, to object to this project completely. He questions how watching a bunch of amnesiacs will create vaccinations against the gloom and genetic resistance to mind controlling frequencies. No matter how much they explain he gets louder and angrier. It doesnāt help that his sister, Fable, is also protesting albeit a lot more clinically, picking it apart with her questions. This creates quite the stir in the group.Ā
Things get worse when HYLIA explains that thereās not just 1 maze, but 2 and that theyāll be separated by sex. Girls on one side, boys on the other. This feels like a way to divide and conquer.
HYLIA lets the groups sit on this for a little under a week before they announce whoās going in the maze first. On the girls side Artemis will be going first.
Artemis was not originally selected to go first. She managed to figure out that HYLIA initially selected Fable to go first. Artemis is like Warriors in the sense that HYLIA used her as the golden child but for the girls wing. Unlike Warriors, Artemis is really good at being a bit manipulative back at HYLIA without repercussions. She manages to convince them to let her go first. This seems to everyone like her taking charge, being a good leader, etc. Sheās the only one who knows that sheās doing this because sheās terrified. She doesnāt want to lay in wait, watching as her friends lose their memories, get hurt, possibly die.Ā
As for the boys⦠itās announced that Hyrule will be going first (in less than 24 hours mind you). Legend reacts to this more poorly than Hyrule does. Honestly, Hyrule doesnāt even get a chance to process before Legend is up out of his seat yelling. Heās desperate to defend his best friend.
This incites a small riot as Dawn and Aurora step in too. Dawn has been itching for a fight for months so this is easy. Soon half the entire group is trying to wrestle HYLIA operatives while the rest just watch, half heartedly try and stop the others, or sit in dread.Ā
The riot is stopped before it can really get started when the main offenders get sedated.Ā
Artemis and Hyrule are separated from the rest. HYLIA decides to send them in right away to avoid more confrontation.
Artemis is sent in alone and sheās glad for that. (Sheās really not but she wouldnāt admit that to the others). That way nobody will see how scared she is.
Hyrule is also scared. They have him on a table and are getting ready to sedate him before they wipe his memory. They allow one visitor to come in. Itās Wild. Hyrule is relieved to have somebody with him but itās obvious that he wishes Legend were there, his brother. Wild isnāt offended and does his best to be there for him. Even after Hyrule is unconscious he stays. He wonders if this is what it was like for Twilight. He vows to be with Hyrule soon. He kisses his forehead before heās forced to leave.
And then, the first people are released in the maze.Ā
I have issues with articulation so if anything is confusing pls lmk š Also if thereās plot holes or anything stupid, or if something couldāve just been better LMK. I will not get offended
ty for reading ššš More to come
people trying to push Philza into dad roles frustrates me as a bbh main because BBH is literally right there š he goes out of his way to go above and beyond with all of the eggs and in his lore gave up HEAVEN to stay back and be a father!! Yet I so often see fics and art of Philza being the primary caretaker
I also donāt watch a ton of Phil so I might be wrong but idk man
I may not like BBH personally, but heās a damn good Egg Dad, and he did essentially āraiseā Cellbit during the War. Is he Cellbitās dad? No, but Cellbit works so hard to make him proud, so itās like. Hell yeah, Dadify BBH. Why not? Heās always prepared, he will Protect, heāll do anything for his kids.
I donāt want anyone to be the Server Dad, but. You know. There should at least be options
@livmightlive (sorry but this didnāt fit in the comment lol )
Fanfic prompt: I love the idea of legend and twilight having instincts from their animal forms
The dark form is a literal representation of the person where the twilight curse just happened to make link a wolf because of the triforce and not a spirit as it did with the npcs
But I couldnāt help myself because it made me think just how bad can their instincts get
I think it is mostly just the symbolism of a cannibalistic rabbit
The rabbit is often seen as a symbol of innocence and people find them cute and consider them tiny lil fluffs
But rabbits are genuinely nasty pieces of shit and well known for cannibalism and mutilating each other (eating each otherās kits ,chopping off dicks , or ripping off ears, a rabbit paw has completely different meaning in this one)
And I just want to say⦠a rabbit is a very dangerous and very scary animal if it was a person with the skills of one)
If we talk instincts it would be more realistic if legend was a crazy violence driven maniac because rabbits instinctively want to hurt each other
As they are very territorial the rabbit will often be aggressive towards the rest of the fluffle (and he is a hylian, so what does it mean for the chain)
(it is an evolutionary trait that presumably evolved because rabbits compete for food often and the aggressive behavior would make the competition more likely to perish)
Rabbit teeth can easily bite off fingers and rip out chunks of meat from your body as they are very sharp in one place like scissors
A stressed rabbit is a danger (and legend is always stressed so there is that) as it increases their chances of survival
Further more canonically legend murdered at least ten of his uncleās friends (the boss fights are mandatory you need the items)
And probably at least a dozen knights (I once killed over 348 because they keep respawning and I was actively hunting those lil guys)
All of them who were sons and relatives, fathers and loved by someone
While it was a fight for survival he knew they all were just innocent men trying to protect the kingdom being simply cursed not in control of their actions
But as it came to his or their life he choose himself above all others (like the rabbit he is)
Even people he knew since he was little he killed when they posed a threat
If we use blind it gets even scarier because blind is a boss that takes the appearance of the one you love the most
Yet link killed his uncle's appearance while it begged and pleaded that he would stop (that fight in four sword palace is mental)
He killed the owner of the four sword afterwards as well
His wish was to undo the damage that ganon caused ā¦,
But would that wish include the men dead by his hand ?
Or do hundreds of men stayed dead by his hands
I like to think that legend doesnāt regret his own continued existence
Perhaps if he could have the chance to redo his actions he would do so again if necessary
Legend the type of guy who you want to keep fed or risk getting cannibalized (the only and last time that the chain made that mistake)
When he was teasing wars the knight should have been glad that legend wasnāt Pulling out a fucking gun (which he canonically has since the oracle adventures)
Even if it aināt personal itās just survival instinct
AU where the Hyrule and Legend meet first before the rest of the chain.
The portal dumps Hyrule right in the middle of the ocean. Even if he could swim it would be futile as thereās no land for many miles. As he starts to drown he sees a flash of shimmering scales. He loses and regains consciousness over and over again over a course of time that he canāt count. Each time he wakes sees pretty pink scales, pink hair, gills, and violet eyes. Sometimes he even hears the comforting few notes of a song.
When he finally comes to itās tucked safely under a cluster of palm trees on the shore of an unfamiliar beach in an even more unfamiliar, but familiar, Hyrule. He has to wonder if the goddess really does love him or if he really was rescued by a mermaid.
Legend had never intended to leave the unfortunate Hylian behind. He left him in a safe spot on the shore before looking for a nearby village that could give better medical attention than he could. He never would have expected an avalanche to descend out of nowhere. Itās not even rainy season. Before he can run or activate a shield heās struck across the head and knows no more.
He gains consciousness a few times and each he sees the shining form of a green fairy, a color of fairy heās never seen before. Each time he wakes he hears soft chiming and feels the warmth of fairy magic in his blood. When he finally comes to heās nestled safely in the roots of a great old tree. He wonders if the green fairy was real or if one of his rings just activated.
Legend and Hyrule both travel for a day aching and tired. Each of them are determined to find the unfortunate soul they had to momentarily leave alone. They run into each other on the road and recognize one another immediately. Do they mention their acts of kindness or blatant recognition? NO.
Maybe one day in the future they mention being saved by a mermaid/odd green fairy. Do they piece together each otherās stories? Maybeā¦
okay so my vampire au brainrot is back, please expect a long post
itās so funny that Tubbo and bbh are out and about, bleeding, fighting
and then Tina is back at the base trying to therapize missa whoās already losing his nerve
āapple boyā
all equally important work
I genuinely donāt, in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword he kinda looks Brunette, but itās really light. I think itās more like the only reason he was a brunette in the first two games was due to the limited color palette. In the 3rd game that came out in the early 90s he had pink hair!
my guess is that because Ocarina of time did so well and he became so recognizable in that game they stuck to blonde for a while
Liv is brunette 1986 Link?? Omg.

au where qbad chose the other way. his other home. finally return to heaven and the embrace of his first family. and his body lay rotting in that field never discovered forever. and pomme knew and dapper knew that he was dead and never coming back and pomme accepted it first, started acknowledging it first, and dapper kept searching for a full month before finally accepting the truth.
and then she gets to work.
she even has some of the theory worked out beforehand. heād discovered all heād wanted in this dimension before, and started to research others and how to go there. itāll take time, and effort, and fieldwork, but Pomme will help, and then itāll go even faster.
after all. what is heaven but another dimension to explore?
Thank you to everyone who Voted! Poor Legend š his story starts with his birth (and some world building)
In this AU, Hyrule is a LARGE empire around the size of North America. In it are several ruling families that serve the Empress. Legendās father is the second most high ranking royal, the king of western Hyrule. He rules over the largest part of land that doesnāt belong to the Empress.
I donāt think the king in ALTTP has a canon name so in this Iāll call him King West for simplicity.
King West and his wife, Queen West, have Fable. Unfortunately for Queen West, she struggles a lot with postpartum depression and spends some time recovering. This time is incredibly stressful for King West, who finds himself as the soul leader of western Hyrule, so he decides to blow off some steam and has an affair with a maid.Ā
Obviously this is Legendās mother. She gives birth to him 10 months after Fable was born, (theyāre Irish twins!), and passes away due to complications during it.
At this point a lot of the palace staff are really pissed off that this happened. Being left with the Kingās bastard, they decide to bring Legend to the ENTIRE castleās attention. This news reaches the king just a little after it reaches the Queen.
Sheās FURIOUS. He had a stressful year??? She thought she was going to DIE.
Advisors suggest surrendering the boy to an orphanage where he can grow up anonymously, but the gossip of the kingās bastard son has already traveled far enough that the other kingdoms of Hyrule know it. They cannot renounce royal blood. Hylia flows through the childās veins.Ā
The Queen demands that the child will not be raised in her castle. She cannot bear to watch the kingās āmistakeā wander her halls. The king decides to send the child to be raised by his brother, Legendās uncle, who is a small lord at the kingdomās border.Ā
The king and Queen cannot divorce, but the Queen ends up spending most of her time traveling the empire on diplomatic missions. Fable is mostly raised by her father.
(Years later the Queen regrets her decision in casting Legend out. Legend does not. Heās actually grateful to have been raised away from court.)
Despite the amount of mess surrounding his birth, Legend is raised to be a very happy boy under his uncleās care. He grows up in a small fort surrounded by apple trees and friends. His uncle never wed nor had children, so he gets all the attention he needs. He rides horses, learns some magic, and how to farm over the years.
Right before his 12th birthday, a witch called Agahnim sends western Hyrule into chaos. Legendās Uncle is summoned to the castle to provide extra defense. Despite warning Legend to stay home, he sneaks after him.Ā
His uncle is too late, the castle is already taken over. Legend finds his uncle bleeding out. His uncle tells him that he needs to find his sister and get to safety before he dies in Legendās arms.
Now heās all alone. He finds Fable terrified and together they escape. Together they decide that they must take down Agahnim before he claims the rest of their kingdom.Ā
Fable can turn into a sword (Iām still trying to think of what type but a rapier is really burning into my brain). Wielding his sister, they go through a long and hard journey, eventually killing Agahnim and restoring āpeace and balanceā to their kingdom.
And Legend feels AWFUL. His father joyfully has him stay back at the kingdom. Heās a hero now. The Queen wouldnāt keep a hero from living in the castle, would she?Ā
He hates it. He starts taking etiquette classes and begins to learn how to be a proper prince. To make matters worse, Fable doesnāt even stay in Western Hyrule for most of the time. Sheās usually in the northwest studying with her meister, Princess Dot.
Heās lonely and scared. When Agahnim attacked, he sent a curse over the land to cause all the knights to hunt him down. Now as he walks the castle halls he has to look at the people who wanted to hurt him only a few months ago. He also canāt stop having nightmares about his uncle. He misses him terribly.
Thankfully, this degree of hurt and loneliness doesnāt last too long. He keeps catching glimpses of a short kid who doesnāt look like heās from here darting about the castle. One day they run into each other and he finally meets Hyrule.
Hyrule and Legend click instantly. Upon finding out that Hyrule is a weapon, specifically a magic weapon, they both become greatly excited to practice spells together. Legend and Hyrule both are very happy about this because neither of them have been able to practice their magic since moving into the castle. Eventually they get caught and this is a great concern. Hyrule is a lot of things: Sweet, cunning, powerful, Legendās new best friend, and the son of the witch that corrupted all of southern Hyrule/political prisoner.Ā
King West tries to tell Legend that he and Hyrule can no longer see each other. That Hyrule is potentially- No is. Very dangerous. Legend throws his first tantrum. Queen West who is back for diplomatic affairs has been eaten away by her guilt of casting the young prince away for years. She gives Legend permission to become Hyruleās full time meister.Ā
King West does not want to deal with this so he sends the two away to a boarding school that will properly train them.Ā
When Legend turns 16, heās sent by his father on a solo quest to Labrynna and Holodrum which are part of the neighboring empire to Hyrule. There he does good deeds, the oracle games, in order to maintain good relations between them and Hyrule. On the way back he gets into an awful boat wreck, Linkās Awakening, barely making it home.Ā
Freshly traumatized, all he wants to see is his best friend. Unfortunately, while he was gone, Hyrule was sent back to southern Hyrule where he completed his own quest, Adventure of Link basically.Ā
Despite completing his quest, Hyrule hasnāt returned, having gone missing, so Legend sets out to look for him.Ā
Southern Hyrule is a combination of Hyruleās games and Lorule. Iāll get more into when I retcon and write Hyruleās part.Ā
Legend meets Ravio and strengthens ties between Southern Hyrule and Western Hyrule. Southern Hyrule has been oppressed by the rest of the empire for a long time. After it was taken over and cursed by a witch, Ruleās mom, 70ish years ago, itās basically been under martial law/abandoned by the rest of the empire. It has multiple rulers and it is fraying apart. With Fable, Legend is able to secure future ties between the two kingdoms.
Finally he finds Hyrule, also freshly traumatized by his mission, and takes him home, not to the castle, but to his uncle's old fort which he finds under possession of Ravio.Ā
A few years of growing pass before theyāre asked to join a new mission.Ā
And thatās Legend! Iām sorry if the world building is choppy, Iām still working on it! Please please please lmk what you all think! Lmk who youād like to see next and any thoughts or headcanons you have!!
