Quick sketch of Nina and Inej in the copy of Six of Crows that I'm annotating for my brother for Christmas. I had totally forgotten any details of the relationship between Nina and Inej but what is in the book is so good

I’m just thinking about Sankta Neyar and The Disciple again. I have a few fic ideas in mind (one of them being a femslash version of this couple). But, for a worldbuilding sense the notorious art thief’s origin would determine a lot of different factors. I’d love y’all’s thoughts on the matter. Thanks in advance.

Letting the glow in her hand dissipate into nothing, Alina stepped into the shafts of moonlight, looking down at her feet as if she were stepping into an ocean. There was no cold wetness around her toes, but to her surprise she could feel the light where it hit her skin. Moonlight was just reflected sunlight, after all, and she was the Sun Summoner.

She gave a little huff of awed breath, wiggling her toes in the light.

‘This room is already taken for brooding.’

The voice came from nowhere, and Alina startled as the words echoed around the empty ballroom, her hands coming up defensively as she called a ball of light to her hands.

‘Oh please,’ came the voice again, and Alina only half relaxed as she saw Zoya, leaning against the wall by one of the arched windows. ‘Word is you can barely light a doorway on your own. What are you going to do with that?’

Look how excited Jessie aka Alina gets before she throws her right hook. My girl has one move but I never get tired of it.

Just some more little details I'm adding to my nina cosplay

Collar of the shirt is hand embroidered with six crows 😉

The cuffs of the shirt are also hand embroidered with the Crows motto. These quickly became one of my favorite parts of this cosplay.

Also first time doing cartridge pleats and I absolutely am in love! I had been dreading doing the plaid skirt, since my plan is to do the entire waist band this way. Now I am looking forward to starting it this weekend!
