dude let me tell u i love highschool au’s thats some good shit right there!!

wasn’t sure if u wanted just general headcanons or specific ones for each charcacter or an x mc kinda thing so i did kinda a mix of all of that lol

So the rfa is basically like the student council

They plan dances and do fundraisers and what not

Everyone knows who they are, the rfa is like an elite little club that does everything for the school

And you’re a new kid

You had gotten directions for your next class from a teacher, but you’d gotten turned around a lost at some point

Class had already started, and there was nobody in the halls to ask other than some boy standing by the windows on his phone

Ignoring the fact that he was a bit intimidating and also supposed to be in class, you walked up to the pink haired boy to ask directions

His turquoise eyes did not look amused, but nevertheless, he pointed towards the door at the end of the hall

“It’s that one.”

“…Oh, ok uh thanks.”

He was gone with no response

Speed walking to the door, you mentally prepared yourself for the embarrassment of having to tell the teacher in front of the whole class you had gotten lost

But when you opened the door, only 5 people were in the room on the other side

Ok…this was definitely not the right class

After you talked to the group and figured out the confusion (turns out the brother of the red headed one had been messing with you) they offered to show you the right way

While you were in there you figured out with was the student council and you noticed some unanswered details for and upcoming dance

Before you left, you gave them a few suggestions for the dance that caught their attention

They invited you back for the end of the day meeting to discuss some more and before you knew it, you were the newest member of the rfa student council

Being around Zen is basically like being with Regina George from mean girls, like everyones talking about you and him, nothing is a secret

And when he officially asked you out, it was like the whole school knew by the next day

She’s also a junior, and in line to be the valedictorian when she graduates

Very academically focused, the rfa being the only club she really has time to participate in

She’s hesitant when you first show up

Home girl’s a stickler for the rules, and she wasn’t sure if it was technically allowed for you to be there??

But you help her out and take a lot of her work load off her hands just by being there

She’s so stressed all the time so when she gets to the meetings and find out you already did the thing she was worried about not having time to do??

Takes you and her quite a long time to get past being gal pals

Cause she’s just so busy

Literally the last thing she has time to think about it getting a significant other, especially when she’s not even sure of her own sexuality

It was during a fundraiser that she really realized her feelings for you

You and her were handing out snacks to the people that donated while the rest of the group was busy else where when your (mom/dad/aunt/whoever) showed up

They immediately hugged Jaehee and started telling her about how you always talk about how much you admire and like being around her

You have interesting ideas and can be useful to the council, but other than that he doesn’t really pay much mind to you

But he never really goes much further than the playful flirting, so you think he’s just messing with you

But one week he’s missing from school, and despite the rfa saying this happens, often, you’re worried

You search out his brother, who is unbelievable hard to find, and eventually see him out on the bleachers

He does not look happy to have some girl who’s basically a stranger asking about his brother and his home life

Seven comes back the next day but he’s all cold and distant towards you

It takes a few days, but you’re able to get the truth out of him, and he had found out about how you’d been pestering Saeran about his home life and his absence

VAE Ray is on my mind today. Like if we take the classic 'V route but in love with Ray' road, you cannot tell me that that boy did not think of you almost every single day during the two years he has spent away on his painful recovery. There is so much left unsaid between the two of you: so much guilt, so much hurt and so many regrets plaguing his head every time he sees something that reminds him of you. And, God, does that include a lot of things.

He goes outside and one look at the clouds brings back a memory of those short but meaningful talks he shared with you about the most simple of things. He remains indoors, and after taking a sip of the herbal tea that Jihyun made for him, he is immediately transported back to a peaceful tea party he set up for you. He stares at his hands, and he can't help but think back on how heavenly your touch felt against them. And how much he regrets wearing those pesky gloves at the time, never giving him the chance to feel your skin on his.

You're like a ghost that watches over his every step. It's often painful. Like a constant reminder of all that could have been if he didn't ruin every chance at his happiness with you. Sometimes it gets a little too hard on him, and Saeran takes over. But sometimes it's comforting. Like a warm hug, keeping him secure when all else falls apart.

He refuses to let you go.

So when he does meet you again, it's like a fragile fantasy that is far too idealistic for it to be true. Ray had no expectation that his brother would remember him. No matter what Jihyun has told him over those two years, he couldn't bring himself to believe that Saeyoung truly wanted him in his life to be the burden that he truly is. So when he gets crushed into a tight, desperate hug that is a bit too painful for his scarred body, his twin's whole body shaking, wracked with sobs Ray's ears can't quite register fully due to how unbelievable it all is... He's almost in a trance-like stare. Hearing Saeyoung's voice telling him to never leave again as he holds him so tight, it's like he's afraid he'll disappear into thin air once he lets go...

None of it was what Ray or Saeran had expected.

And then there's you. Your reunion with Ray will definitely be an emotional event for both of you. Ray was sure that, at best, you had forgotten all about him and lived on a happy and safe life. A life that you deserve. And at worst, that you hated him, and cursed him for hurting you the way that he did.

But instead, you are so unbelievably happy to see him. So happy that you are crying for him. Much like Saeyoung is.

The two people he had the worst fear of facing again were accepting of him and shedding tears for him in a way he had never even imagined.

So he also breaks down. And the three of you probably spend a lot of time crying into each other's arms as two years of grief, heartbreak, and recovery wash over you all at once.

After that, things don't immediately turn perfect. There are still many things that need to be said. You and Ray will have many conversations with each other, taking breaks to process it all piece and piece and not overwhelm one another. About what happened those two years ago. About what happened after that. About your feelings for each other. And about Saeran, too.

It's a process that takes time. But the fact that you're willing and even wanting to go through that process with him is enough to cause Ray to shed tears more than he could count.

The beginning is small, very small. Brief brushing of his fingers against yours while you are sitting together in the shade of a large tree in Saeyoung's backyard. The lightest of touches you give to his scars after he allows it. A hand resting on his shoulder gently as he talks about something heavy to let him know you're there for him.

Every touch leaves his entire body shaking, his breath stuttering in his throat, forcing him to let out the faintest of gasps. The first time it happened, he got very ashamed and apologized profusely to you, as he thought he acted like a complete creep and made you uncomfortable. Ray knows he's touch-starved, and that he's touch-starved for your touch specifically. But he doesn't think it's something worth dealing with, not wanting to be a bother to anyone. Not any more than he already is. A thought process that he will need to work on one step at a time.

You let him know that it's okay, though. That you don't mind. That it's your own desire to touch him.

After that, you begin to take his hands into yours. The first time it occurs, your hand jist clasps around his lightly. Then you interlock your fingers together, once he's okay with that. And then he feels safe enough to do that to you, too.

Holding hands with you is something Ray loves with all his heart. No gloves are getting in the way now. He can feel your skin directly on his with no barriers. It's a wordless 'I got you' that he finds himself getting more and more greedy for, the longer you indulge his cravings for human warmth.

His scars are not bothersome to you. If he doesn't want to, you don't force him to talk about them. And you're always quick to let him know how beautiful he is to you whenever he feels insecure about them. Even if he has a hard time believing that.

You're far too good for him, is what Ray finds himself thinking time and time again. But at some point, he comes to the realization that he is too selfish to let you go again. And then Saeran joins in on that line of thinking after his own long journey with you. So he doesn't let you go again.

And that's when everything changes.

Ray can be clingy with you if you let him. He desires to hold your hand inside the house, regardless of whether it's just a walk to the balcony or kitchen. He will rest against you whenever you are resting, reading a book, or indulging in your hobby. You don't need to talk to each other. He just silently sinks against you and sighs softly, letting your presence wash away all other thoughts floating in his mind. While asleep, he clings to you, almost as if his subconsciousness is terrified of you disappearing again. He fiddles with your clothes, with your fingers, or with your hair whenever you are talking to someone, and he's there with you. It calms him. Keeps him steady.

There is an undeniable bittersweetness to Ray's clinginess. GE Saeran's touchiness stems from his heart's pure affection towards you, but VAE Ray neecs to constantly remind himself that you're there. That he can touch you. That you are not going anywhere. And that you have no hatred towards him.

But it can also be sweet. Like whenever you help him take care of his burns, or you ease him into a warm, soothing bath you've prepared just for him. Ray may be anxious. But you are always eager to show him how much you genuinely care for him. How much you enjoy touching him in the way he has always wanted to be touched by you. To allow him to unwind with you. Close his eyes and let you take care of him with no judgement.

"I think Amit is quite handsome. I suppose he'd be a good conversation partner." Natty hums as she rests her chin on the palm of her hand. Imelda looks at her with disgust.

"He'd probably love astronomy more than you in your relationship. I'd punch him on the first date." Imelda scoffs, rolling her eyes. Poppy just gives the Slytherin gal a glare for her unkind words.

The four of you were lounging in the empty Beasts classroom, relaxing in the cool breeze coming from the forest. Professor Howin had allowed the four of you (originally you and Poppy, but Imelda and Natty had passed by and decided to tag along) to stay in the classroom in hopes of teaching the new 5th year (You) more about Beasts but all you've done in the past hour is sit on one of the tables and talk about the most random of things. Now you were talking about who to date in Hogwarts.

"What about Yrma?" Poppy suggests. "She's nice."

"Stop suggesting Ravenclaws. I physically cannot handle it." Imelda grunts. You shoot her a sympathetic look to which she flips you off. "Also, she's a third year. I'd die if you pair me up with someone younger. A journalist, too, she'd know every step I'll do, and I'll just have an aneurysm because of it."

"Alright, what about Weasley?" You suggest. Natty makes a look, considering the option. Poppy sighs and shakes her head.

"Which one?" Imelda jokes, to which Natty smacks her arm. Poppy rolls her eyes before answering the question.

"He's cute but too mischievous." Poppy lists. Imelda nods, agreeing with her statement. Poppy pets the Puffskein sleeping on her lap, smiling softly at the cute creature snoring away.

"Eh. He's fun. I can probably handle him." Natty says. You let out a small laugh.

"I'll pass. He's like a brother to me. Probably because Professor Weasley acts too much like a mom." You reply. You lean closer to Poppy, glancing down at the Puffskein to coo at it.

"What about Dale? She's cute." Natty suggests. She then turns to Imelda, who looks like she'd complain once more about a Ravenclaw being listed. "Don't."

"What? I wasn't gonna say anything..."

"It's because her past lover was from Ravenclaw that she's like this." Poppy says with a disappointed look on her face. "Clumping up all Ravenclaws and putting your prejudice that was originally for one person into the general public, huh?"

"Shut it, Sweeting." Imelda glares at her.

"Alright, stop fighting. I know you'd rather date a Hufflepuff, Reyes." You tease. The Slytherin's cheeks flush, and a harsh kick to your knee sends you jolting up against the table with a pained groan. The Puffskein awakens to the sudden harsh movement and jumps off Poppy's lap.

"Imelda!" Poppy whines as she watches the Puffskein hop away to its den. "Look at what you did!"

"How'd you even know it was me?!" Imelda complains. Poppy crosses her arms over her chest.

"You're seated directly in front of Y/N. They'd never jump for no reason, and also, Natty's an angel. Besides, I could feel the kick." Poppy chastised. Imelda looks away with furrowed eyebrows and a pout as she grumbles about it, not being her fault. You look at the two with a smile.

"It's okay, Poppy, let's just continue." You send Imelda a knowing smile to which she scowls at. Natty giggles at the interaction.

"Ooh, what about Gaunt?" Natty wiggles her eyebrows. "He's a young lord. Deemed one of the most handsome in our year. I'd date him."

"Really? You'd get pulverized by his crazy blood status fanatic of a family." Imelda leans forward to place her arms on the table before leaning down to rest her head on it. "But I guess he's decent. The type to defend you against them. A typical romantic cliche."

"Doesn't he have a lover?" Poppy mentions. Imelda immediately rises up at the information.

"Oh yeah. I saw them snogging near DADA. Sebastian looked like he was constipated, muttered about when it was his turn to be happy or something." Imelda cringes at the memory. At the mention of the Sallow boy's name, Natty and Poppy glance at each other with knowing looks. Suddenly, their attention is on you.

"What about you, Y/N? Will you date Ominis?" Poppy smiles knowingly. There's something about the two's stare that puts you in an uncomfortable position.

"Uh..." You purse your lips in thought. Ominis was one of your best friends. He had been with you through thick and thin, but that's all he ever was. Besides, he was happily in love with someone else. "Not really? Same answer with Gareth's."

Natty nods in understanding. Imelda glances at the two in confusion. "Why do you two look like you're the one who's constipated?"

"Shut it, Reyes." Poppy rolls her eyes. You laugh at their bickering. At this point, there was one person who definitely should be mentioned in this conversation. He was already well known in the school for his charming personality and handsome looks. People always gossip about him. You let out a shaky breath before nervously glancing at the three.

"What about Sebastian?" You suggest. The three fall in silence, not responding to the question. It didn't even look like they were contemplating about it. "Hello? Did you not hear me or what—"

"Oh no, we heard you." Imelda chuckles as she smirks at her. When Imelda smirks, you know it's not good. "I just don't think we can claim him."

"Claim him?" You tilt your head in confusion. "You make it sound like he's already dating someone."

"Ehh..." Natty shrugs her shoulders. "Aren't you?"

"Aren't I what? Huh?" You sat, baffled at their curious looks. "I'm not dating Sebastian?"

The three look at each other before laughing. It wasn't even a casual laugh, it's full on stomach grabbing, tear inducing, I'm-gonna-pee what the fuck laugh. You look at them in confusion.

"Merlin, I can't take this seriously." Natty wipes a tear from her eyes as she continues to laugh.

"I'm really not dating him!?"

"You're so funny!" Imelda pats your shoulder. "Don't tell me kissing each other everywhere except the lips counts as friendly. Who the fuck kisses their friend on the neck?"

"Uh, she has a point." Poppy shrugs. "He walks you to class, holds your hand, and not even in a normal way. It's the intertwined one, and if looks could kill, Garreth Weasley had already been buried months ago."

"Also, he always touches you. An arm on your waist, hugging you from behind, fixing your hair, looking at you like you're the Messiah yourself." Natty lists on, continuing Poppy's evidence. Surely not?

You stare at them with wide eyes and an unreadable look. You and Sebastian had always had a strong bond. Ominis often commented about feeling left out whenever you two were together. You always thought that he was just teasing you about it. The things that you've gone through had eliminated all barriers between the two of you, so physical affection had seem normal for you. Had the line between friends and more than friends became too blurred already?

"Merlin's beard. You don't know!" Natty gasps in shock. "Rafiki, that is more than just friendship."

"But I'm really not..." You try to defend yourself, but the more that they stare at you, the more you start to realize how obvious it should've been. Before you could try and convince yourself about how ludicrous it is all, Imelda delivers the final blow.

"Love, everyone knows Sebastian is yours."

Heat rises to your cheeks, and as if things couldn't get any worse, a familiar voice calls out to your little group.

"There you are!" Sebastian Sallow, the devil himself, grins as he approches your little group with Ominis trailing behind. The three cough at his sudden appearance and you freeze in your seat.

He makes his way behind you, grasping your shoulder firmly before leaning down close to your face. "Hey, I'm here. No greeting?"

You turn your head towards him, glancing at the three girls who look away, trying to contain their laughter. You look back at Sebastian, who smiles, expecting something. You sigh, giving him a chaste kiss on his cheek. He lights up like a Christmas tree.

At the sight of affection, the three suddenly stand up, collecting their things. "O-oh I just remembered I forgot to water the chinese cabbages again, haha! Silly me! I better go get it!" Natty says with a poorly concealed smile. Sebastian looks at her, confused.

"Uh? Okay?" Sebastian awkwardly laughs. You glared at her as she grabbed Imelda and Poppy who make haste in gathering their things.

"I also have to bring them and Ominis because of ... uh... safety." Natty bullshits her way through as Imelda grabs the young Gaunt's arm, pulling him with them.

"Huh what? I didn't get a say in th—" Poppy covers his mouth as they walk away, dragging him along. Natty gives her a final thumbs up of encouragement as the two of you watch in confusion. You watch as their figures disappear before the boy beside you finally breaks the silence.

"There they go." Sebastian sighs. "I was hoping I'd get to hang out, but oh well. I don't really have complaints with just us here."

You flush at his bluntness as he sits down beside you, pulling your figure to his arms. He hugs you tightly before resting his head on your shoulder. "History of Magic felt like forever. I swear I'd never be able to stay awake in that class. Binns must've put something in the air."

You couldn't focus. He's so close.

"Lucky that you and Ominis get to share that class. At least you'd have someone to suffer with." He jokes as he raises his head. Silence engulfs you both as he stares at your face.

"Stop." You groan as you try to push his face away, but he only grasps your hand in his palm.

"You." You admit as your eyes admire his features. He lets out a soft smile.

"Yeah." You raise your hands to cup his cheeks. The two of you had been sitting so close that if you just lean a little bit forward, you'd be able to kiss him.

"Yeah?" He raises his eyebrows in amusement as his gaze flickers from your eyes to your lips.

"You're so annoying." You pout. He bites his lip before dropping his head on your shoulder. Your fingers then softly scratch his scalp and twirling his curls. He raises his head back up before unashamedly stares at your lips.

"I don't need to tell you what's going to happen, right?" He whispers. You gulp nervously as your arms slide up to wrap around his neck, pulling him closer.

"Mhm." You hum before placing a chaste kiss on his lips, testing the waters. He lets out a shaky breath at the sudden action. You look up at his eyes, trying to discern if what you did was okay before he grins fully and leans back down to kiss you again.

Your body unconsciously pushes against him, craving his touch. You tenderly kiss him back, hands occuppied with his soft hair. His hands rub your lower back gently as he continues to kiss you. You don't know how much time has passed before you pull away. You both smile at each other before Sebastian leans forward to give you more pecks on the lips. You giggle at his behavior.

"I like you." He whispers, nudging his nose against yours. You smile at his confession, palms now cupping his cheeks. You press a firm kiss on his lips before staring at him in adoration.

As the eager type Sebastian Sallow seems to be, you two didn't start dating right away. Despite him wanting to cut to the chase and ask you officially to be with him, he decided to follow Ominis' advice and court you instead. He believes that despite his slight impatient tendencies, he wanted to prove to you that he was worthy of you. To earn your heart just as he has your trust and friendship.

He would start off by walking you to class. He'll offer to hold your books and even your bag as he lets you guide him towards your next class. If you two have the same class together, he allows you to walk in first as he trails behind you to your shared desk, gently placing your books on the table with a warm smile on his face. If you don't have classes together and both your classes are on opposite sides of the castle, expect to see him in detention more than once as he has made it habit to arrive late to his lesson just so he can spend as much time with you as possible while walking you to your own designated location. You can lecture him all you want about having his priorities set straight, but he'll just have an impish glint in his eyes. His mind already reassuring himself that you are his priority.

The other thing he would do is write you letters. Except at least three or five letters/notes be sent your way each day. Many of the letters are just inserts of sweet or even romantic quotes he has found and highlighted in books he reads. Other times, he would leave encouraging words written out in small notes and tuck them away at a random page in your textbooks, or sneakily place them inside the pockets of your robes for you to find later. He has sent so many letters to the point that the owls are starting to give him annoyed squeaks each time they see him with YET another piece of parchment in hand.

He wouldn't take you out on dates during the courting process, instead he would invite you for "quality time". Which ultimately just meant that it was just the two of you doing anything together that didn't exactly have to be romantic. Sneaking off to the restricted section for a required book or item, studying together (his head laying on your lap), last minute adventures into the forbidden forest, spell practice in the Undercroft (Ominis just napping in a corner while you two did your thing), or even taking you to Feldcroft to visit Anne together.

His love language is physical touch and acts of services. However, with the both of you not being official, he had to limit these to a few fleeting touches and with a helping/offering hand in order to not seem overbearing. His hand would always move a strand of hair out of your face, his fingers would graze and even linger a bit against your own when handing you something, his shoulders would be pressed against yours whenever you sat together, knees itching to press against you when you're next to one another, and sometimes he would press his chest against your back when looking at something over your shoulder. His acts of services would be limited to him only being able to hold your books for you, obtain a book you need (regardless from where he had to get), take the blame if you both get caught doing something that was either yours or his (or both) idea, helping you master a spell ( that he himself had to practice long hours to ensure he could be a good teacher), or even saving you a seat next him (sometimes having Ominis roll his eyes as he was forced to sit in front or behind the two instead).

This goes on for the betterment of three months. Sebastian has never wanted to cut to the chase to a slow burn so badly, and he was close so many times to out right confessing and asking you our on a proper date, but he knew he couldn't. It was too soon and he didn't wish to rush this, he wanted it to work. But even on the days where he feels his yearning might win, he looks at the way how your face lights up when spotting him across the room and suddenly everything stops. Reminding him just why this was so worth going through.

When you first became official was actually because you said something first. Having had enough of Sebastian's slow burn approach and for once, his impatient nature seemed to have possessed you.

So you shouted out to him and into the heavens that you don't want to just be friends with him and it all happened over an interrupted study session between the two. Sebastian was helping you with your transfiguration essay, having pulled all the stops with the researching he spent doing to ensure you both go a Satisfactory on your assignment. However, as he was leaned over the table, reading your introductory paragraph over your shoulder, a Hufflepuff girl that Sebastian has known since the start of the year ran up to him with the biggest grin. Before either of you knew it, she was dragging Sebastian towards a section in the library to help her get a book she needed, her arm clinging onto his as she did her best to playfully banter with him as she clung to him.

Not only did this bother you, but Sebastian didn't even seemed bothered, which upset you further more. The truth was, Sebastian was just trying not to seem rude in front of you while on the inside he was screaming to get back to you. Disappointed he couldn't smell your citrusy scent that you omit. Once he finally got free from the pestering girl, a pout on her lips as he finally got away, you slammed your book shut and harshly put away your items. With a simple "Let's go", sebastain spent the betterment of ten minutes chasing after you with his stuff flying out as he called out to you. Asking what was wrong.

It wasn't until you reached the courtyard did you just feel your anger (or was it jealousy?) bubble over and you shouted at him as to why he hasn't asked you out yet. Needless to say, you went into a tangent, a loud one. Even cornering him to a wall as you confessed how crazy he drives you and if only he could see how badly you wanted to be his. By the end of it, not only did you have him speechless, you had him smiling like an idiot who had just won the best prize any man would be lucky to have. When you finally calmed down, breath heavy and face flushed for your outburst, Sebastian simply leaned in, slowly reached over to wrap an arm around you and pulled you flushed against him.

Talking about how smart and caring you were, that he's actually gotten less detention now that he was with you because he had you to be a good influence with. Although, Anne met you only a handful of times, there was nothing she loved more than hearing how her brother finally managed to live his life again. His usual dark and gloomy demeanor having lifted and changed for the better ever since you walked into his life, and that was something she was extremely grateful for.

Sebastian is a studious individual, he actually has good marks on each of his classes and is highly praised as a student by his professors. Having that said, on the days you are too lazy to do an assighnment and it's due the next morning, the inner scholar that lives within Sebastian will willingly sacrifice his sleep to help you finish it. Sure, you could just copy off of him, but something he would never deprive you of is knowledge.

He's a big whiner when you two are together. But more in the sense that he pouts when you have to leave him or complains that you pulled away from a second when huddled up next to him. He's almost like a big baby but is instantly soothed by a quick peck on the lips.

His jealousy doesn't come from a place of ownership, and although he does love showing off how perfect and awesome you are, he isn't scared of you being stolen from him. He's scared you'll realize you could do better then him and leave him. What makes Gon rejecting Killua so much better is that it never happened before. Gon is the only person who accepted Killua the way he is. He knows he's an assassin and likes him anyway. Other people pretend Killua was joking or lying when he tells them he's an assassin to avoid the truth. So Killua lets them assume. He was never able to just be honest until Gon happened to him. When Kite got left behind, Killua expected Gon to be mad but he wasn't and Gon thanked him. All of that hope accumulated to one single point where Killua became dependent on Gon's approval so that one verbal rejection was enough to make everything feel irrelevant. He feels he can't help Gon anymore because Gon finally is rejecting him. All of that hope can get crushed by the very person it came from. He experienced so much shit in his life that it became normal to him but this one small thing in comparison is what made him breakdown because it also became the only good thing in his life. He was so used to approval by his family that it became normal and expected, that's why Gon's approval felt like the only thing that mattered because it's the one thing he was putting hardwork into earning. And he just felt like all of it was for nothing.
