goes out of his way to avoid you. just the quickest glance can bring a full flush to his face, a telltale sign of his infatuation with you. he begs rex lapis to make you think he doesn't hate you, no matter how many times he disappears as quick as he arrives when talking to you.

zhongli

squeezes out every last bit of mora to buy you treats, and sometimes borrows childe's money for it. the cutest keychain, or the most delicious looking sweets – whatever he thinks you'd like, he'd buy for you. sometimes his payments come in the form of IOUs.

like childe, he smiles – the stone face he usually reserves for the public is wiped away, now replaced with a gentle and soft smile that lights up his face. his demeanor changes; alhaitham is noticeably happier around you. people tell you that you change him, but you never seem to notice.

kaveh

he laughs. there's no more fake laughter to get out of situations or to please old aunties who are too involved in his life for him to be happy. he genuinely laughs at every joke you tell, or every silly gift you playfully give to him. these mourning flowers seem to perk up a little every time you're around.

- Rin Itoshi: UNHEALTHY.

Trouble with completely healthy relationships is most likely something he got mainly from his past (Sae). Perhaps a bit of trust or jealousy issues, might involuntarily push you away or distance himself, and add in his already "grumpy" or overly serious behavior: that's because he would have to still get used to loving properly. I think that with time and enough patience (therapy), he can learn to feel more comfortable and acknowledge a romantic relationship without having the issues he started with to maintain it.

- Sae Itoshi: UN-HEALTHY.

In my opinion, Sae is a more difficult character to understand. In between healthy and unhealthy: being more mature than his brother, he does realize his mistakes faster and is not above apologizing to you first, overall knows how to treat you nicely; that doesn't mean he won't struggle with other few things. I don't see him having trust or serious jealousy issues, but I do think he could instead involuntarily act much less interested or caring, and it could result in some trouble for you two. Nothing you can't fix together, though.

- Ryusei Shidou: TOXIC.

His aggressive personality sells it. Was it like Bachira's (part one!), being solely odd in an innocent way, I would have said you just need to adapt to him. But, considering how prone to violence he is, being aware and content with his toxicity, that wouldn't work. Way too strange for a steady and healthy relationship, no need to elaborate much. Sorry </3

- Michael Kaiser: TOXIC.

Also is complex character: except, unlike Sae, he doesn't really get the benefit of the doubt. Shown in the beginning as arrogant, his superiority complex is slowly dying down for his insecurities to replace it, but not his toxicity. There are too many things that would trouble not only him, but your relationship as a result. Seriously struggles expressing proper love to the people he cares for, take Ness as an example, especially in the last few chapters regarding him; can get upset beyond reason, and handling both him along with his attitude could be a little too hard as of now. :(

-Alexis Ness: UNHEALTHY - TOXIC.

Nice guy persona, overly sweet. And yet, much like Reo (also in part one!), if you ignore Kaiser for this, he would still be most likely suffocatingly clingy or overly dependent on you. No, he's worse than Reo: the jealousy issues are seriously something that could get out of control, he'd probably fear of abandonment and it would result in him being too attached to you. This could rapidly turn into a one-sided love: an interesting thing is that, because of this, your relationship itself would turn toxic due to those things it lacks, before he himself does. I'll put him in between unhealthy and toxic, in case his kind personality is brought up. </3

- Eita Otoya: TOXIC.

The fact he cheated before and seemingly still does not understand the reason why it is wrong, meaning there's a great chance he would do it again, should alone be something you'd avoid him for. Let's say you won't, though: it would probably not last for long until he grows either tired or finds something to do that he would risk the relationship over for. If he decided to do it once, he'll do it again. He's a cheater, there's not much to elaborate here..

- Yo Hiori: VERY HEALTHY.

Honestly would be a great boyfriend. Already is a good person, with a kind personality and polite manners; despite most likely not having experience, would pick up fast and learn in not much time; very understanding and caring, so there are little things you could fight about, and even then, I don't see him allowing any arguing to get past a needed talk. Not much to say except he deserves some love for who he is as a person and reassurance every there and then. Settle in comfortably, it's going to last.

- Ranze Kurona: HEALTHY.

Much like Hiori, except Kurona would be less friendly due to how introverted and quiet he is. That does not mean he wouldn't be good to you: he really would, simply in a chiller and less 'loud' way. Could struggle more with a few things not only because he is on the younger side, but also because he seems to be a bit needier for reassurance due to some little facts that could make him self-counscious about himself, at times: not in an overwhelming way, fortunately. Overall, made for a long term relationship.

- Oliver Aiku: UNHEALTHY.(?)

I wouldn't say outright toxic, but it is canon he's a womanizer, although I'm not exactly sure how far it could go: so, let's consider the possibilities. There's a good chance he would do his best to be a good boyfriend and it wouldn't take him much effort since he can be mature and understanding, and another one that he would entertain other options whilst already in a relationship; or, would assume you're okay with sharing him in the very first place, even without having a talk about it, as he did before. Since our stats are more possible on the negative part, I'll have to say unhealthy..

Day 12. Armin and Reader Getting Mistaken as a Couple

Honestly, you both should’ve expected this. With how often Armin looks for you to show you a new book he has or to just lean on your shoulder and talk about things that are weighing heavily on his heart. Anyone watching the two of you would assume you’re together with how close you sit or the constant laughing at each other’s words. It’s cute. The only issue is that neither of you see it yourselves.

“I think your boyfriend was looking for you,” Ymir tells you one day when you both crossed paths.

You can’t help the confusion that sets on your face. “Boyfriend?” You ask and are greeted with her rolling her eyes, a smirk on her face.

“Uh huh, playing dumb makes you look dumb.” Your expression hasn’t changed besides a bit of an annoyed look at her comment. Ymir just sighs and shakes her head. “Armin was looking for you.”

“He’s not my-“

“Save it for someone more gullible. Although, if we are playing games, then I’m going to find Krista. My roommate.” The emphasis and her tone of talking to you like a child is more frustrating. But Ymir walks off before you can argue more.

You just shake your head and go search for Armin.

You find the blond sitting alone in the library, books scattered around him. A smile crosses your face at how focused he is in his reading. It’s easy to sneak up behind him and watch him jump at you clearing your throat for his attention.

“Oh! Hi, sorry I didn’t mean to ignore you.” He’s quick to apologize as you sit next to him, giving you a sheepish smile. “I was reading about the ODM gear. There’s so many intricate parts to them… And this is probably boring to you.”

You can’t help a laugh at his words. Armin always worries about bothering you when he starts going on tangents about whatever subject has his attention.

“It’s not boring, Armin,” you reassure him before continuing, “Ymir told me you were looking for me.”

There’s a confused look on Armin’s face. “I wasn’t looking for you.” He blushes a bit as he thinks on his words and adds, “Not that I’m not happy to see you!”

You smile at his words before letting out a sigh. “Then she was probably messing with me. She also called you my ‘boyfriend’.” Armin’s cheeks get darker at that and there’s a warm feeling in your chest from it.

“Really? Eren was making comments about how close we are too,” Armin mutters and you feel your own face heat up.

“Do we really look like a couple?” Armin smiles at your question.

Honestly, you never put a label on your friendship. You just know that you’re both rather close. But with how close you and Armin constantly are and how you can feel your chest tighten from him smiling just now… maybe something more wouldn’t be so bad.

“I guess it does look like we’re more than friends,” Armin answers and you see him getting the same look he does whenever he’s deep in thought. “It’s a bit annoying listening to everyone speculate or making comments on it.”

He…. He finds it annoying?

“Oh. You think so?” You have to force yourself not to make a face at how flat your tone sounded. Armin’s eyes seem to brighten at your reaction and you have no idea what he’s planning.

“Don’t you find it frustrating? I mean, with how Ymir is, I can only imagine how that encounter was earlier.”

“She was being a bit annoying,” you mutter.

“Exactly. So… If you actually were my partner… The speculation would stop.”

You just stare at Armin. He has a more shy smile on his face as he looks at you. You know that he can be rather tricky when he wanted to be. But to ask you out in this way?

“You want to be my boyfriend?” You ask, wanting to make sure you aren’t misunderstanding. Armin blushes more but nods.

“We would probably deal with more teasing, but it would stop the unnecessary comments about us finally dating.”

He makes it sound like he’s gotten these comments before, but he hasn’t mentioning it to you in the past. But there’s something more important to focus on.

“And you want to date just to stop those remarks?” The blush on his face and looks he gives you are giving you your answer, but you can’t help but want to hear him say it.

Armin smiles at your question, probably understanding what you’re pressing for. “That and the fact that I like you a lot. I haven’t really had feelings for anyone before and then I met you. So please, will you be my partner?”

Your heart beats faster at his words. Part of you do want to fish for more compliments and sweet words from him, but you know you could probably get those once you’ve answered his current question.

“Yes, I’ll date you, Armin.” The way his eyes shine and his smile widens has your heart doing flips.

“I’m glad… You know, Eren has been particularly frustrating with pushing me to ask you out. Should we tell everyone except for him?” You can’t help your laugh. Armin can definitely be tricky when he wants to be.
