Because It’s The End Of This School Year For Me I Wanted To Post Some Things I Made Troughout The Year

first drawing is a steven universe fanart that i drew more than a month ago. ( i am very nervous for posting my drawings online and i still need to make a whole lot of improvement but i hope that you will enjoy them)

another steven universe themed art-thingy. this is my oc aquamarine, there is a fusion with her and an oc of a friend of mine coming up soon. 

I'm trying to figure out Alka's face. While this attempt is far from perfect, it manages to give me a good idea of in which direction I want to go. However while I was working on this piece, somebody commented about it being drawn in an anime style. I don't necessarily view that as a bad thing in other circumstances but I have been doing my best to get rid of that type of style. I asked them where they saw those anime characteristics in my art so I could try to work on making these less anime-ish. The answer that I got was that they could't really pinpoint it but it was probably the eyes. Even though I had followed the proportions for a normal face (1 eye between the eyes 1/2 - 1 'between the edge of the face and left/ right eye). So could I get some pointers/ critique from somebody of the things I'm doing wrong or should improve in? ( I know that the jaw looks kind of weird but I didn't have a reference at that moment)

The first pride was a riot, more specifically a riot against police violence. Trans women like Miss Major and other people of colour paved the way for the celebration of pride today. You cannot celebrate your pride this month, or any month if you aren’t also supporting Black Lives Matter and the riots going on against police violence right now. Us white LGBTQ+ need to stand up for our black siblings and their rights, their struggles. We need to amplify their voices and show any support we can. (Edited to add links and make the image clearer)
