Danny starts growing ice horns and claws after he discovers his ice powers so he travels to the far frozen once again with more questions.

Turns out so many Yeti's have ice spines, horns and claws because it is their core's way of releasing energy to prevent build up.

Danny learns along with his horns he will also have a lower body temperature as his body naturally releases cold energy. Turns out the far frozen wasn't always so frozen, it was a combination of so many ice core ghosts living in one place that made it what it was today.

Clark, vaguely panicking: Uh, so, a really important part of being Superman is to care about everyone, right?

Kon, with stars in his eyes: Right!

Clark: And that extends to helping people out, with like, day to day, non-worldending things.

Kon: Right!

Clark: So I've decided, to help you on your path, you're going to do something that I did. Something incredibly important to who I am today. I would not be the same Superman without this experience.

God, I am IMMEDIATELY fascinated by the idea of Clark being faced with someone who is just undeniably and completely above his weight class, but said someone thinks HE'S the ideal to aspire to and wants to be JUST like him and thinks he's this insurmountable ideal who can't EVER be matched or beaten. And like, not to be an asshole here, but how many times in his life has Clark actually met someone he KNEW he wasn't stronger than who wasn't, like, a Doomsday or a Darkseid? Someone he KNEW that he couldn't just physically force into submission if shit went wrong; who could never really actually HURT him? Much less been around someone like that for extended periods of time?

Much less someone like that who wasn't even full-grown, and therefore was probably only going to get STRONGER?

Like, really. How many times?

Clark, internally: This kid already has all my powers after roughly thirty seconds in the sun and could LITERALLY crack the planet in half with that TTK of his but sure, sure, I'M insurmountable. This is fine. This can't possibly end poorly. A MORE POWERFUL version of me who was BORN with those powers and who doesn't understand people's falibility or imperfections or shades of gray and thinks I'm PERFECT, and wants to be just LIKE me. Who didn't grow up with anyone like Ma and Pa, but in a TEST tube. Right. Yeah. This will end so, so well.

So obviously letting this kid fly off to Hawaii with minimal supervision and ethics that were installed by morally-dubious scientists who wanted to mind-control him is just NOT gonna work, but what, is Clark supposed to tell this kid who's mostly a stranger who he IS? Explain Clark Kent, and how Superman isn't perfect; how it's just a persona? A face he puts on so he can help people, but not its OWN person? Not something real or sustainable?

What's this kid going to think, if he tells him that?

i finished your Danny Phantom + Batfam fic the other night and lemme please tell you how well you wrote it!!! PLUS its that final push for me to watch Danny Phantom finally (after all these years too) so thank you for that :D

Oh oh oh, but imagine if Danny was missing something. If he was a ghost of himself. The hollow version of himself, bland and neutral.

Out there is his ghost half. The thing so intrinsically connected to his emotions. Maybe it was a dream catcher situation or the claws from The Ultimate Enemy, and they got sperated, the human half lost in Gotham, missing his ghost half. How can he focus on his 'other half', his soul mate, when the literal other half of himself is missing?

He can't survive without Phantom. Phantom can't survive without him. He's slowly dying, and there's nothing he can do about it except wait for Phantom to find him.

No use letting his soul mate get attached when he might be dead soon. Well, deader.

Damian had a soulmate. Too the suprise to his family, well on his father's side. His mother and grandfather had a knowing look. They had something to do with it. Well, oh well. Danny was found on the streets of Gotham and refused to say anything about his past. That's fine, this family was used to less than amazing past.

But Damian was unhappy with this. For being his soulmate, Danny took longer to warm up to the family than Damian himself did. With less violence at least. But he seemed to be a hallow version of a happier person. A ghost of a person. But ever so slowly he warmed up to them, seeming more alive. But still Damian was unhappy. Danny was his soulmate yet he treated Damian like everyone else. He even avoided Damian entirely at times to be with someone else. (What was he doing wrong? He was trying so hard! Was he such a demon that even the other half of his soul wanted nothing to do with him?)

Grayson said that it wasn't true, but Grayson was wrong.

i am shrunken down and brought to the gnome world and when i attempt to assimilate to their culture I use an acorn cap as a hat and they all laugh cheerfully at my silly mistake of wearing what they use as a bowl like a cap and though this is a transgression that would have humiliated me in my human life I am instead laughing alongside them at my humorous misunderstanding

The papers are detailed and written like a contract. These are the Bat adoption papers after all, for taking home kids that might be broken, damaged, or otherwise untrusting.

Danny takes out a pen, crosses some things out, writes some other stuff in, and hands them back.

Batman looks them over. "The undue contact with billionaires may be hard, but I'll do my best," He passes them back over to Danny. Danny writes an amendment and hands them back. "Hm. I would do this anyways, but thank you for the clarification. I agree,"

Danny takes the papers back and smiles before signing. "The punching billionaires who creep on me amendment was the most important one anyways,"

Well since i got tricked into the fandom anyway, may as well make art about it.

Ok kinda funny/a bit angsty idea danny has a soulmate mark that shows how your soulmate is doing in the alive injured critical dead sense when the soulmate dies the mark goes black

Now Danny's mark has been through most/all the phases he was a bit worried about the dead part but they came back so he's not that worried

Danny's soulmate on the otherhand a batfam member is freaking the fuck out every single day his soulmate dies amd comes back to life what the hell if wrong with his soulmate that he can keep coming back to life

Basically when danny transforms to phantom his mark registers him as dead and the bat family are freaking out because one of their members soulmate has died like 63 times this week what the hell is up with him
