Sam, Tucker and Danny get tired of drawing out Danny's summoning circle (which they use for quick transport and emergency evacuation of Danny from difficult situations. Or just to force him to take a break from heroing) They get a stamp with Danny's summoning circle on it for extra convenient summonings (perhaps circles that do not intend to bind the summonee into place can be Small and Stamp sized.... or they summon Danny as little baby man) just dip the stamp into Whatever (ink, blood, waterver else can be used) and Stamp it where you need it
genuinely a big brain move. They have to be sure to make sure that stamp doesn't get lost though. The chaos that would cause would be too terrifying to fathom
v.2
If I’ve learned anything from about 25 years of actively being engaged in fandom, it’s this: fuck everybody else.
Your favorite character ain’t the fandom’s favorite character? Fuck ‘em.
Your ship is the rarepair or the one people think is icky? Fuck ‘em.
You like the tropes and meta and character analysis that make other people roll their eyes? Fuck ‘em.
Engage with fandom in the ways that make you happy and comfortable and fulfilled and fuck everybody else. Like the things you like because you like them, because not everybody else is gonna love them the way you do.
Be cringe and be free, hallowed be thy name, goddamn.
Danny: What? You think we're what? No, no, it's ghosts. They came predead, already dead, free with a side of constant invasion. Zombies? Who told you that?
Bart:... The government?
Danny: And you believed them?
Bart: Zombies are real!
Danny: I'm aware. I'm saying you shouldn't trust the government and what they say.
Tim: If you don't trust the government, why are you doing taxes?
Danny: Because I don't trust them not to buy hitmen for the IRS, keep up.
He'd made an online friend, Bart, and they played video games a lot.
Danny's fulltime job is inventing alongside his parents, and as that makes him self-employed (he doesn't work for his parents just next to them), this makes his taxes a little...scary. And it's his first tax season.
He reaches out to Bart, and asks if he knows anyone who files as self employed and if they'd be able to give him some guidance.
He can't ask his parents because, apparently, they've just been throwing random numbers on the papers and have no interest in actually doing them. Danny would like to do this properly.
Also he would like to know how his parents haven't been arrested? Questions for later.
So he shoots a message to Bart, who's apparently in the middle of some sort of sleepover with all of his old friends. Bart assures him that it's fine, and they'll all pitch in to help.
They just need to know his city and state so that the nerd of the group, some guy named Tim, can look up local state and city tax law.
When he tells them he's from Amity Park, there's no response for a good ten minutes.
What follows is a barely legible request for a phone number to call, and a group of people on the other side shouting and asking how he's avoided dying in the hellscape zombie apocalypse that is Amity Park.
Danny has no idea what the other shit means, but he's not about to dodge a chance to make a dead joke when he has one.
"I mean. If you wanna get technical, I didn't. Is...that something that'll effect my taxes?"
OR: The GIW has been lying to keep the Justice League and Justice League Dark out of Amity Park by declaring it a Disaster Zone, stating that not only is there massive pollutants in the air and soil, but that the undead run rampant and are barely contained. The wording they use, however, is a little weird upon closer inspection. It never specifies zombie, and it never says what pollutants. Danny's not super interested about that, though; he just wants to pay his taxes so that the IRS doesn't kill him in his sleep.
There's something just so uncanny valley about them. Their edges are always blurred, even when it looks like they're standing still because they are constantly moving. You never see them breathe because they breathe faster than you can perceive. Just standing close to them makes your hair stand on end.
batfam being cryptids: boring, over done, theyre just some people in masks if you shot them theyre done-zo
flash fam being cryptids: new, exiciting, they are intrinsically tied to an eldritch multiversal force that gives them the power to change the very fabric of time *by Accident* and that when not harnessed properly will Kill them and possibly destroy entire universes
Number 3, I can imagine when Duke joins the family and gets introduced to everyone, he just points at Danny and is like, "Oh, and who are you? It's cool to not be the only meta in the family,"
Cue confusion.
Sketches for DP x DC ideas that I have (click for clarity)
1) Duke’s been seeing Danny around Gotham for a little while, and he’s always thought that he looked like a miniature star. For the first time, he meets Danny in person and is surprised to see just how cute he is up close.
2) Jason introduces his girlfriend to the family and now they’re trying to figure out why she’s so adaptable and seemingly used to their craziness. In reality, she has a bunch of crazy siblings too….
3) Danny is a creature of the pit. The moment Damian tamed him within the League of Assassins, Danny had stuck to his side and protected him. Unfortunately, none of the Batfamily know about his existence…
4) Jazz saves an injured bird and it’s been with her for quite some time. She’s very fond of it. Now if only Jason could somehow turn back into a human and come back to Gotham to see his dad and maybe ask Jazz Fenton on a date.
5) Danny, weakened and shrunk, tags along with Batman in order to save his strength, knowing that just his presence would be protection. Batman is oblivious to his little passenger. Everyone else is wondering if they’re imagining the Tinker Bell wannabe on his head.
6) Batman expects Danny to fight a Poison Ivy-esque villain, but instead, Danny and his hacker friend seem to be encouraging her??
7) Conner falls in love with an affectionate half-ghost who has more in common with him than he thinks.
8) Stephanie meets a cute boy as her civilian self. Score! Now if only she could figure out why he kind of has a lot of similarities to a certain vigilante she knows…
I have absolutely no recollection of making this.
Just got my wisdom teeth out, I can see four pairs of glasses where there's two. Feel confused like I gotta concussion, but with the ice outside that's ceartinly an option.
u ever have on mutuals whos so deep in another fandom that u know absolutely zero about and they make posts that look like they speaking another language or some shit
Have some more AU Danny sketches (he's at least 18-19 here), where he's wearing a battlesuit for super cool reasons. And totally not because he's controlled by a secret evil world organization to the point they forcefully erase his former identity and he became more serious to cope with the trauma :D
The overwhelming ambient ectoplasm of Gotham messes with ecto-signature trackers. Good for Danny and Jason? Yes. Good for Batfam and Team Phantom? Absolutely not.
It was supposed to be a basic bust. Get in, beat up the goons, alert the GCPD of the illegal goods, get out.
This bust wasn’t the same. The strange men in the white suits overwhelmed Nightwing and Red Hood and knocked them out. Nightwing woke up still in the warehouse. Red Hood however, was gone.
Red Hood didn’t know what these Ghost Investigation Ward guys wanted him for but a sinking feeling in his gut said that it wasn’t for anything good
Danny: I was fourteen, I didn't fucking have hormonal balance much less anything else you morons.
Danny didn't hate the Justice League for never showing up to deal with the world ending things he dealt with. He's not been upset with them over this since he learned about overshadowing being a thing.
That is, he wasn't upset with them. Until he met Dan. Dan who had killed the Justice League. Dan who had destroyed the world. Dan who had told him about Justice League Dark. The secret magic division of the Justice League that apparently could have dealt with the bs Amity Park has been through since the portal opened.
They had the resources to avoid being overshadowed and they were, even just one of them, powerful enough to have taken down Fright Knight or Vlad or Pariah Dark. Instead they'd marked Amity a "no fly zone" and promptly ignored the town. Their reason? Danny was already taking care of it.
So years later, he's King of the Infinite Realms and being summoned by the Justice League. (in all his kingly regalia of course) He's being rather belligerent whenever one of the magic members start talking, but is rather friendly towards the others. When asked why he mentions Amity Park.
The JLD's reply? The Embodiment lord of Balance is taking care of that place.
Yo! I'm Lira, she/her, LiraBuswavi on Ao3, and I'm just here to have a good time. The header is fanart I received for a fanfic I wrote! Check out @doodlesforfics, they're an amazing artist.
