“Bestfriend is someone who loves you when you forget to love yourself.”
— Unknown
"what do you do for a living?" Oh I am a professional hopeless romantic and I read books and cry in my free time.
“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different.”
— C.S. Lewis
“It's taboo to admit that you're lonely. You can make jokes about it, of course. You can tell people that you spend most of your time with Netflix or that you haven't left the house today and you might not even go outside tomorrow. But rarely do you ever tell people about the true depths of your loneliness, about how you feel more and more alienated from your friends each passing day and you're not sure how to fix it. It seems like everyone is just better at living than you are. A part of you knew this was going to happen. Growing up, you just had this feeling that you wouldn't transition well to adult life, that you'd fall right through the cracks. And look at you now, it's happening.”
you are presented with 2 copies of the same book
the first copy is in tip top condition. a little yellowed, hinting at age, but other than that, there is barely even a crease in the spine. there are no marks, and the owner says that they always keep their books in a book bag when carrying them around.
the second book is battered. absolutely wrecked. it is yellowed, the spine has multiple creases, and there are scriblings in pencil all over every single page, the thoughts of the owner entwined magically with the book forever. there are a few highlighted bits and bookmarked pages.
reblog if the second one is the one that you consider to be a well-loved book :) i just want to see smtg
the mood swings have been insane lately. one okay productive day costs me two weeks of grief and apathy and anger. hot girls get it
