God forbid they ever kill off Dick Grayson because he haunts the narrative while still being a part of it. Imagine if he died? Oh lord.
ai does not belong in creative spaces. period.
The other day on TikTok I saw someone say that Tim is the only Robin Jason considers his brother and that’s just??? Not true??? So here are some moments between Dick and Jason to prove!
I tried to find some stuff on Damian and Jason but I couldn’t find much other than that panel where Damian tricks Jason by hugging him. Please DC let them have some sort of moment, I beg.
Honestly I do love the dynamic between Tim and Jason but a lot of it IS fanon! While I would love for their relationship to be better explored it lacks the depth that I feel Dick and Jason have (only because I feel like we don’t get enough of them in canon) Honestly Tim just needs character development. Let him age PLEASE.
I love Tim and Dick’s relationship in canon and I really wish it was explored more in fanfic. But it feels like it gets thrown aside in favor of making Tim and Jason besties, often to the point where fics will villainize Dick and it makes me so sad. This being said, there’s a similar problem with modern comics as well, where Dick and Tim are thrown aside for Dick and Damian. Don’t get me wrong I do love them, I just wish DC could highlight their relationship without forgetting the bond between Dick and Tim. This is a problem I’ve seen a lot with DC. They want to forge a bond between two characters but by doing so they kinda ignore the previous bonds they had. They sorta did the same thing with Jason and Roy.
In my opinion, Dick and Tim have the best relationship of siblings in the batfamily. Tim drops in after Jason’s death. Dick is harboring all this guilt from not really being there a lot. Don’t get me wrong, he tried his hardest, he gave Jason his number, gave him some solid advice, but he was always busy with the Titans. Then Jason died and Dick felt guilty and Tim showed up and Dick wanted to do better for Tim. In a lot of ways, Tim showed Dick what it means to be a big brother. AUGH they’re just so important to me, the way Dick unconditionally supports Tim and the way Tim looks up to Dick is just so MWAH 🤌
Today I told my friends to “beware the ides of March” and they didn’t know what that meant. And then I was like “Julius Caesar was stabbed today, isn’t that exciting” and they just looked at me and asked “How is that exciting” then I got called a nerd by the same two people who were yapping to me about pie day yesterday.
like can we please talk about the fact that honey and mori literally have to hold kyoya back while he is shouting at tamaki’s dad because kyoya is so fired up while detailing all the ways yuzuru has hurt tamaki that he might actually attack him??
you are the third son of one of the most powerful families in japan. your whole life is an exercise in restraint. but you just found out that all the pain your best friend- the one person in the world who matches your passion and understands you completely- all his pain was deemed acceptable collateral by his own father. all your restraint is gone.
honestly ra's a ghul would stab someone if they called dick grayson "nice funny but he's like a himbo" bc he is not gonna accept being defeated by someone others call a himbo. like if someone defeated me yall better acknowledge that it takes SKILL to defeat me stfu i will not take this disrespect–

Bro imagine if like Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne bond over having evil grandfathers together. Maybe that’s why their so close, but like imagine one of them is like “Did your grandfather ever try to make you his successor to his evil cult of assassins” AND THE OTHER ONE GOES “you will never believe this but-“
I need her biblically
Dick Grayson really gets the OC treatment in Nightwing (1996) and what I mean by the OC treatment is: “Just how much trauma can I put this character through”
Let’s go through the list
- First he decides to become a cop to take down the corruption of the police force; he basically swears off of sleep. He’s fighting crime during the day, he’s fighting crime at night. There is no time for this man to sleep.
- He actually ends up loving this job and even though he planned on quitting once the BPD got fixed, he stays. Just when he’s happy BAM! He gets fired after his boss and former partner learns about his identity
- Barbara breaks up with him
- Blockbuster learns his secret identity and decides to make his life a living hell
- He burns down Haly’s circus
- He blows up Dick’s apartment building, killing a good chunk of the supporting cast
- He’s pretty much homeless after this and sleeps on a fire escape using newspapers as a blanket and pillow
- Blockbuster threatens to kill everyone he knows. Literally. He says that if Dick so much as shakes someone’s hand, he’ll kill them
- He’s so severely fucked up about this he lets Tarantula kill Blockbuster
- She then SAs him (and it’s literally NEVER addressed??)
- Dick can’t handle the guilt and pretty much becomes passively suicidal.
- He has so much trauma and PTSD from this entire thing that Tim, Alfred and Barbara all mention something about him losing his spark
- He turns himself in but his former boss/partner gets himself out by saying he’s undercover
- Then he joins the mob???
- He pretty much pushes everyone away
- Then Death Stroke drops a chemo bomb on Blüdhaven
- Despite knowing that it’ll kill him, Nightwing continues to go into the wreckage to save as many ppl as he can.
- He passes out and is saved by Batman who takes him back to the Cave. He then gives him some tough love and talks to him about his suicidal tendencies
And that’s all I got because I haven’t finished the run yet but JESUS they put this poor guy through the wringer.
