Alright so this is for that anon that asked me to make a compilation list of all the Naruto fanfics/tropes I mentioned in my most popular Naruto post yet. (read here)

So let’s sit back, relax, make a playlist of songs like Never Had a Dream Come True and Every Time We Touch and the It’s a Lot Like Romeo and Juliet songand head back to the years 2007 because we have some nostalgic fic reads to go through. I couldn’t find all the ones I talked about/remembered reading over the years but god damn did the ones that did turn up yield a great harvest.

Sakura is legit an assassin by night and a nerdy high schooler by day who gets picked on and shit all because she wears some thick ass glasses and doesn’t do her hair properly and everyone think she ugly and deserves to be picked on except Hinata. She also has a familial relationship with Sai and Shikamaru)

Song of a Cherry Blossom (Sakura an undercover night club singer and gets picked on by day and somehow no one recognizes it’s her and Sasuke’s in love with her nighttime persona)

Pen Pals (technically this can go under Akatsuki edition high school fics but… basically Sakura gets bullied in this for some random bs and has a blog where she vents shit and the people who constantly comment on her blog is the Akatsuki)

↳This post was largely inspired by @midgetmeredith ’s ’THE “SAKURA IS USELESS” COUNTER-ARGUMENT MASTER-POST!’ ♡ There isn’t much to add except that I’ve been part of the Naruto fandom for approximately 8 years now and I can say, without a doubt in mind, that a vast percentage of individuals that have kept up with Naruto (including myself) - not just the anime (which has about 200 episodes worth of fillers aka NON-CANON episodes) but the manga, novels, etc - are fond of the series’ heroine and give her the upmost respect she deserves (as we all should). Keeping this in mind, I’ll wrap up this post with a quote from Donald Miller,
