It was actually vetted by BBC (yes I know we don't like BBC) and they've also done a few pieces about him and his family in 2021, after Israel bombed Gaza for 11 days straight.

Hi Everyone. I Know The Original Op Made Their Post Unrebloggable For Their Safety, So Please Reblog

Edit: I am adding OP's commentary addressing ableism onto this post under a cut in addition to it already being in a reblog. Hopefully people can circulate this edit as well (thank you for reblogging this post).

The original post by original poster under the cut, on addressing ableism etc:

OP's URL has been removed from this post, but their post is reuploaded by me in case OP is deactivated, and also because they have addressed the ableism from the original Tweets and are much more eloquent than I am at wording it.

Caption in ALT text

the news coming from gaza every single day is heartbreaking on levels that keep getting more and more. a man with autism and down syndrome in gaza was killed by a zionist's attack dog.

IMAGE ID: Screenshot of a Tweet with an illustration of a young man with Down syndrome and a dog with a blue flag of David vest who is biting the man's arm. The man is saying, "Let go, habibi... enough." The photo besides the illustration is a photograph of Mohammed Bhar. This Tweet is captioned by the original Tweeter and artist @Abdullah7Hadia: "let go, Habibi... enough" was the last word for "Mohammed" a guy with Down syndrome from Gaza to a trained dog unleashed by zionist armed forces after they order him to raise the white flag or die.
so they killed him in front of his family.

Quote retweet by @tastefullysaucy: He kept petting the dog's head while saying "that's enough my dear" as it ripped his arm apart. Mohammed Bhar had the mental development of a toddler and all he could do was try to comfort the dog by patting its head and ask it to to let him go while it tore his body apart.

Second tweet in a thread by @tastefullysaucy: He never spoke much outside asking for food/water. The first full sentence he spoke was of endearment to the dog Israeli forces had tearing him up. They did all of this in front of his family & forced them to abandon him. He died alone, scared & in pain. Attached is a video (video can be watched on original tumblr post by @pekingopera)
Hello there. I am the OP of this post. A few quick notes:

I understand the phrasing of the tweet is ableist (I could not find another tweet anywhere on my feed at the time with the news, so forgive me for that) and that the phrasing of 'zionist dog' was weird. I was really emotional at the time I rushed to share this news and the implications of that flew past my head, and I apologise. I have corrected the phrasing to "zionist's attack dog" and corrected "boy with autism..." -> "man with autism" so no one who reblogs directly from me shares that incorrect phrasing at the very least. I can not do anything about the tweet's phrasing or the original phrasing of the post that has been shared, and even if I delete this post or turn off reblogs, it will continue to spread regardless in some capacity. And, in addition, the incorrect phrasing has already spread and is out of my control any way.
To some of you: read the fucking room.
People with Down syndrome are in touch with reality, and I do in fact strongly disagree with the use of the phrase "mind of a toddler" and it has messed up implications.
Every single one of you who is a 'vote blue no matter what' or a Biden supporter, I hope you go straight to hell after your death. It is your president who has allowed this to happen. It is your president who is actively committing genocide in collaboration with Israelis. It is your president, Biden, whose actions in Palestine and in Gaza have led up to this man being murdered in cold blood in front of his family. The dissonance is crazy. Go away. I hope death comes for you and that it is painful.
To those of you who are using this news now to peddle your agendas: fuck off.
This post has quite peaked, and I am glad that people are sharing the news. However, for my safety, since Zionists have found me, I will be turning off reblogs to prevent any further spread. الله يرحم محمد ويحفظ شهدانا. I hope you can all understand this.

ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help

Dear friends

In the past, your generous support has made a significant difference in my life. Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help for someone very dear to me: Hazem and his family, who are in urgent need of our support.

Hazem and his siblings are like a second family to me. We grew up as neighbors and shared many experiences together. Currently, they are facing severe challenges in Gaza, and Hazem has broken down his campaign into smaller, achievable goals.

He has already reached the first goal of €5,000, which was necessary to secure the safe exit of his younger brother. Now, he hopes to achieve the second goal of €10,000 by the end of this week, which will help ensure the safe departure of his younger sister and another sibling.

Every donation, no matter how small, will have a profound impact and directly assist this family. I ask you to contribute what you can and share the campaign with your network. Let’s come together to provide them with the hope and support they need during this critical time.

Donate to Help my family in Gaza reach safety, organized by Hazem Khalil
