Breaking my ‘quitting tumblr’ momentarily to say PLEASE stop being dumb fucks and accusing people of spreading misinformation about The Sims 1 and 2 re-release having the Denuvo DRM when they have corrected themselves via reblogs, edits and replies - because this community loves jumping on players of colour any chance they get to accuse them of wrongdoing where there is none. If I know Simblr I know it takes a white person to say anything for anyone to give a shit, so listen up and read carefully! 📖

The posts about the Sims 1 and 2 re release having the Denuvo DRM on them were mostly written BEFORE it was proven to be false. They are likely NOT spreading ‘misinformation!!!111’ intentionally. Many have self-corrected. Take your heads out of your asses and take a moment to consider things before accusing people. I know this is Tumblr and you’re incapable of doing that as well as checking all the available information before making an accusation, but give it a try. Do it for me 🥺😘 If you don’t want to look like a dumbass then CHECK THE COMMENTS, CHECK REPLIES AND CHECK THE ORIGINAL POST to see if amendments and corrections are made before going all 🤓 on people and making accusations of ‘spreading misinformation’ when many people have corrected themselves in reblogs, replies, and edits.

Act on the idea that people are not spreading this intentionally because the likelihood is they are not. For once in your fucking lives THINK I BEG YOU before jumping down the throats of Black and Arab players. Like I know it feels good to be self-righteous on the Internet but you really do look stupid when you don’t check for corrections before saying people are spreading old news intentionally.

‘I know EA has a broken track record / it’ll be broken / well I hate EA but I’m still buying’ …It’s not the 2000s anymore, sorry millennials, our childhoods spent with these games are well and truly over - but don’t buy these games, do some searching and find them that way.

50+ Sub-Hobby Traits (Sims 2)

Published: 2-3-2025 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY Hobbies and interests were introduced via the Freetime EP (EA/Maxis, 2008). There are 10 hobbies (cuisine, film & literature, tinkering, sports, music and dance, fitness, arts & crafts, science, games, and nature) and 18 interest categories (sci-fi, culture, environment, paranormal, health, fashion, politics, sports, school, animals, toys, money, entertainment, work, crime, food, travel, and weather).  Here are 50+ trait tokens featuring various sub-hobbies – these are meant to compliment the original hobby categories and let players assign specific hobby-related interests to their sims. The Sub-Hobby Project comes from the collective brainstorming of @grilledcheese-aspiration, @slyndseysims @gayars and @anachronisims. DETAILS Requires all EPs/SPs. §0 | Buy > Misc > Misc (purple icons) At the time of this post, these are for storytelling/completion purposes only. These are TOKENS ONLY – they do not alter sims/gameplay on their own. If/when they are incorporated in mods, their custom function(s) will depend on the mods in question. Here is my own edit of Lindasims solarium, sims will lie down inside and after some time emerge with a tan and it lights up. Don't send them back in if they already have a tan! It will start a fire!

I edited the mesh down from 14k polys to just over 7k so it's not as smooth as Linda's but I wasn't bothered by that, I also remapped it so it now has one main 1024x1024 texture instead of 4(!) so texture quality has also been lost but again, I wasn't bothered by that. The two aqua trim retextures are my own, I wanted to make a gaudy gold one too but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I also added a small amount of fitness enthusiasm gain after getting a tan, but it's much lower than exercise equipment because, well, you're lying down :p but maybe your bodybuilders/health nuts will appreciate it :)

Costs 3000 simoleons and is found in plumbing/misc and electronics/misc, all compressorized.

I'm gonna say it requires BV for the tan overlay and FT for the enthusiasm but Linda didn't really go into requirements...

Credits: Lindasims and I'm gonna credit Numenor because I suspect she cloned his original tanning bed or at least used his lighting for this.

I received a request from @fluffyfluse for some conversions from ATS' Sims 4 daycare sets and this is what I was able to come up with.

The play house, the castle, the play town, the barn, and the rocket ship are cloned from a 4t2 dollhouse by TheRaven, which in turn was cloned from a play garage by Leefish @ MTS. It builds charisma as it is played with. There were no broken meshes for the Sims 4 sets, so when these are broken, they'll still appear whole.

The toy abacus is cloned from a similar abacus made for Sims 2 by Maylin @ MTS. It will build logic as it is played with.

The bells toy is cloned from a music toy also by ATS, and will build creativity as it is played with.

The screw toy and the blocks puzzle are cloned from a toy by Rebecah @ MTS and will build mechanical knowledge as played with.

(I think. I really didn't take good notes when working through these.)

The Playdough, the Playdough pot, the fingerpainting kit, and the slate chalkboard are all just deco. The small armchair wasn't requested, but I thought it was cute, so here we are. It is functional and is cloned from a toddler chair by Solfal @ TSR. Fair warning, the toddlers get on it sideways, like a potty (which is what I think it was initially cloned from), so there's obvious clipping when sitting/standing, but once on the chair, all is well.

All recolors are included, as are the texture images so you can pick and choose what you want to keep. Remember to discard the images before putting them in your downloads. Everything can be found in game in General > Kids.

💡 Improved Sofa Bed and Chair Bed

These are functional pull-out sofa and chair based on Ikea Ektorp set. I created them long ago, and now, having more skill, decided to give them a refresh. Let me know if I made it worse! 😁

Fixes:

No more waiting in Live Mode for newly bought beds to become fully functional

No more untimely unhiding in visited neighbors' apartments

No autonomous unfolding without sleep

Fixed pie menu texts for some languages

New features:

Quarter tile and off-grid placement enabled (if placed off tile, you have to adjust bed part by hand to align it with its seating part)

Both bed and sofa/chair are visible in Buy Mode upon placing the object so that you can recolor sheets and adjust placement right away (one of the parts will hide in Live Mode)

Sleep interaction shortcut -- unfold and go to bed in one click (sleeping autonomy and user directed sleep are the same as for other beds; if you have a global mod that changes conditions, it'll apply to these beds as well)

Option to temporary disable autonomous sleep

Other changes:

Can sell unfolded beds

Can place chair bed next to a wall

Bed unfolds in "made" state even if no one made it before folding

Sell old beds and buy new ones in game for best experience (I kept GUIDs and filenames the same)

Known Issue: it's possible to make cheaty money using undo button, I'm not saying how 😛
