🖤 ₊˚⊹ — eldest daughter of the malfoy family (1) #DISCONTINUED
parring ➵ draco malfoy x sibling f!reader
summary ➵ family portraits with your little shit of a younger brother.
age of parring ➵ 16 - 18
warnings ➵ fluff
extra ➵ might become a multi - part series, but don’t take my word for it. reader’s middle name is named after bellatrix. thanks to @cafekitsune for banners! second chapter here.
here you were in the manor, in your large but dull gloomy dark room. subtle touches of your personal belongings scattered all about.
you’ve gotten news from your father, lucius, that the family was gonna retake yet another family portrait, it would’ve bugged you then but it happened every year. so what could’ve you done?
you were touching up your hair, defining your blowout and pining it up in a nice up - do, as your mother, narcissa, requested. you applied your favorite lipstick/lipgloss before you heard footsteps approaching.
you looked through the reflection of the mirror on your vanity as you added your desired pair of earrings, some bracelets, and layering some necklaces. the final touch being a matching ring you had with draco.
it was a simple stacking ring, engraved with your full first name, middle inital, following with the complete last name on it. you had a matching one with draco.
DRACO L. MALFOY — Y/N B. MALFOY
the baby of the family, who has grown to a young man, walked in without knocking. you clicked your tongue in annoyance, draco got the memo.
❝ m-may i come in? ❞
❝ you are already in. ❞ you scoffed softly, noticing the scowl on his face.
❝ sorry. ❞ he said blandly, you replied saying ❝ don’t worry about it dray, i need your help anyway. ❞
you sat up, walking up to a full length mirror in the left corner of your bedroom, draco following behind.
you fixed any sort of crimple and wrinkle on your dress whatsoever with a whip of your wand.
you presented yourself with a elongated black maxi dress, with a slit on the left side revealing your leg, the bust lined with black lace detailing, the same detailing of the thin straps.
you sported a pair of black crystal covered pointy toe high heels, a beautiful glamorous black cluster crystal on top of it. it was from a muggle high - end store, something along the lines of jimmy choo.
you ran your hands every curve, admiring yourself and catching a glimpse of your dark mark on your left arm, running your hand up and down the same arm.
as you did so, you were unaware of what draco was thinking.
draco malfoy, disliked by his fellow peers in the same year, most in a complete different house, known for his undeniable prejudice toward blood status.
one thing he was also known for was you, and he knew that of course.
anytime anyone would look, speak, or even breathe around you, he would always and constantly eye them.
he would clench his fist anytime someone would utter a bad mouth about you and disregard you as a person. no matter who it was, he would walk past and shove them so hard on purpose with no hesitation.
he absolutely hated people who would do so, cause you usually never did anything to anyone. back when he was a second year, you being in your third year, when the heir of slytherin was petrifying muggle borns, he never heard the end of it with the accusations of you being the heir.
reconnecting with the present, he looked at you lovingly with his hands in his blazer pockets. how he blazingly loved his older sister. every little thing you did, he always and never thought you weren’t the best at.
❝ you look beautiful sister. ❞ he said softly.
❝ you really think so? don’t you think its too much? ❞
he chuckled responding spontaneously with, ❝ too much or too little, you always look gorgeous. ❞
❝ oh i love you so much brother. ❞ you sighed placing you hands on his face kissing his forehead, being able to easier because of the shoes you were wearing.
you grabbed you favorite purfume, spritzing some on your wrists, collarbones, behind your ears. then spraying some near draco, giggling as he waved his arms coughing trying to prevent getting a feminine fragrance from attaching to his clothing.
❝ let’s be on our way now, mother and father have been holding up long enough. ❞ you ordered.
he enterwined his arm with yours eyeing down at your shoes, being patient with you as you have a disadvantage of walking quickly.
the both of you reached the hallway, sounds of clicking and clacking shoes echoed throughout the halls. draco was talking about the new school year at hogwarts approaching, to say he was displeased would be understatement.
the both of you kept walking til you guys reached the wall full with frames of family pictures. from the moment lucius and narcissa were engaged, their wedding ceremony, your birth, draco’s birth, both of you and draco’s first year at hogwarts ; and so on.
one picture caught your attention, you grimaced.
it was when you were starting in your fifth year and draco in his forth. the thing that bothered you so much was you short hair phase and short your dress was. it was way to provocative for a sixteen year old.
listen your hair would’ve been so adorable if you have gotten layers but oh well.
❝ oh my god. i looked ghastly! ❞ you almost shrieked.
❝ i cannot believe you let your little brother walk out like that. ❞ uttered draco disapprovingly.
it then turned into a five minute rambling of you calling your younger brother cute and squealing at his undefined face back when he was eleven.
draco only flushed and continued letting his older sister call him names he hasn’t been called in years, he was pulling on your dress mumbling for you to quit it.
unknowingly to the both of you, narcissa was watching her eldest daughter and baby son holding hands and giggling at each other’s portraits, telling stories of the days each portrait was taken.
how it made her happy knowing draco had you watching over him and growing up with a role model, regardless of the both of you growing up, you and draco will always be her children.
❝ draco, y/n, it’s time to get going. your father and aunt bellatrix are getting impatient. ❞
❝ sorry mother.❞ the both of you said in unison, quickly walking to in front of her.
narcissa stood on his tip toes, even with heels on, and kissed draco and you on the cheek, caressing her towering children as she smiled at.
❝ cmon now, run along! ❞
draco quickly ran to narcissa’s left side as you stayed on her right, both of you simultaneously wrapping your arms around hers and made your way out to the center of the manor.
lucius checked his watch groaning at the fact that his children are almost twenty minutes late to the shoot.
bellatrix cleared her throat impatiently, she had to meet with the dark lord in an hour, she wouldn’t be able to unless her niece and nephew were aware of the time.
nacrissa came in with a smile, one that both her sister and husband noticed in a heartbeat.
❝ narcissa, where is y/n and draco? ❞ asked lucius asked blandly, bellatrix glanced wanting to know.
before narcissa could answer, you and draco came in, making unnecessary fixes to your hair and outfits, holding out a compact mirror in front of the both of you.
❝ oh, my beautiful niece! you really outdid yourself, come here my sweet! ❞ bellatrix cooed as you smiled and closed the compact, walking up to her.
kisses were being plastered all over your face, lucius signaling draco to come up to his father.
draco went up and watched as his father fixed his tie silently chuckling at the sight of his beautiful daughter all dolled up.
❝ sorry father, it was my fault draco was late. i would’ve been at lot earlier if i hadn’t kicked him out of my room. ❞ you exclaimed softly.
❝ that’s quiet alright y/n, i should’ve known it takes young ladies a quite amount of time to prepare themselves. ❞ he grabbed your arm reassuringly.
❝ you know where to go, take the lead draco, y/n. ❞
you and draco obliged and went down to the living room and sat together in a forest green velvet vintage lounge chair holding hands, as the adults stood behind.
a couple of pictures, mixing it up quite often, it was finally the malfoy children portraits.
sitting down, standing up, backsides, and many serious and some smiling pictures later, the both of you hugged and you reminded draco how much you appreciated him.
the both of you snapped back into reality facing the wizarding world equivalent of a camera in surprise as a flash blinded the both of you, laughing at the moment that would make this yearly family portrait tradition memorable.

summary. features the greasers talking amongst themselves about y/n, how she’s always been a constant presence in their lives, and what she means to them. a few mentions of matteo and charlie, her younger brothers, but the main focus is on y/n’s role in the greaser family.
labels. lighthearted tone, mentions of family and friendship, and reflections on y/n’s impact on each character’s life.
‧₊˚ ୨୧ mina speaks. chapter 8! the last one, this was so much fun to recreate and make it better for my following. this might me the last thing i write for a while. school started back up so ill be mia for a bit. feel free to send requests ♡
darry
❝you know, i always figured y/n would end up like one of those people who quietly fades into the background. but somehow, she’s always there when we need her, without even trying.❞
soda nodded in agreement. ❝yeah, like when things get rough and everyone else is losing their heads, she just … takes over without making a big deal about it.❞
ponyboy
❝she never really asks for anything. she just does what she has to do, and everything feels a little less heavy. i think that’s what gets me the most. she doesn’t need anyone’s validation to do what’s right, and that’s … rare.❞
johnny
❝yeah, it’s like she doesn’t mind putting herself last as long as everyone else is okay. she’s … i don’t know, the kind of person who makes you want to be better just by being around her.❞
two-bit
❝she’s the best at making people laugh when they need it most. i mean, i’m no slouch myself, but y/n? she’s got that knack for knowing when to say something and when to just listen. it’s like she gets us, even when we’re acting like idiots.❞
steve
❝i don’t get how she does it. i’ve seen people go through a lot, but y/n — she never shows the weight of it. it’s like she’s got this inner strength, y’know? she keeps everything together without even breaking a sweat. and it’s not just about her being the “mom” of the group, either. she genuinely cares, and i think that’s what makes her so different.❞
darry
❝yeah. she’s a lot stronger than people give her credit for. i think she has to be. raising her brothers, keeping everyone else in line, and still somehow managing to make us all feel like we matter … she does it all.❞
ponyboy
❝she’s also one of the only people who can get through to me when i’m being… well, me. when i get caught up in my own head, she just knows how to make me talk about it. and it’s not even in a way that feels forced. she just knows how to make me feel heard.❞
two-bit
❝yeah, she’s got this way of making you feel like you matter, when you’re at your worst. i mean, i’ve definitely had my fair share of screw-ups, but every time she talks to me, it’s like i’m not just the guy who tells bad jokes. i’m someone she actually cares about.❞
steve
❝she’s also the only person who can keep soda in check. not that soda’s bad or anything, but y/n just… knows how to get through to him. she makes him feel like he’s got this huge weight on his shoulders, but at the same time, she’s always there to remind him it’s okay to relax sometimes.❞
johnny
❝i think that’s what i like most about her — how she makes everyone feel like they belong. even if we mess up, she doesn’t let us feel like we’re failures. i’ve never felt judged by her. she just accepts us, flaws and all.❞
darry
❝i remember when she first started hanging around with us. it was just me, soda, and ponyboy, and we had our own way of doing things. then y/n showed up, and she … just fit. like she was always supposed to be here. her brothers, matteo and charlie, are a handful, but she’s always got them under control. it’s like she’s got this natural way with kids.❞
soda
❝yeah, she’s like a big sister to us, too. i don’t know how she does it, but she’s always there, always checking in, making sure we’re not getting into too much trouble. and if we do, she’s the one to give us that disappointed look that makes you feel like you’re five years old again.❞
two-bit
❝that’s the thing, though. she’s not just a second mom to us. she’s our friend. someone we can go to when we need to talk, or just … chill, y’know? she’s got this balance that none of us have. she’s one of us, but she’s also someone we can look up to.❞
johnny
❝and she’s always the one who puts everyone else before herself. i’ve seen her stay up late helping matteo with his homework or comforting charlie when he’s had a bad day. i don’t know how she does it, but she’s always there for us.❞
steve
❝she’s a fighter, too. i don’t think anyone’s seen it, but i have. when things get tough, she doesn’t back down. not for a second. i think that’s why i trust her so much. when y/n says she’s got your back, she really means it.❞
darry
❝you know, i think that’s why we all stick together. y/n doesn’t just bring people together, she makes us want to be better. i don’t know how, but she does.❞
two-bit
❝yeah. it’s like, without her, none of us would be the same. we wouldn’t be as tight-knit, as loyal to each other. we wouldn’t be a family.❞
soda
❝y/n’s the glue. she’s the one who holds all of us together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.❞

hello hello !! i just found your blog and i love your writing style would you mind doing a dustin x reader fic ? hope you’re having a wonderful day !! <3
— RADIO CONNECTION
written by mina leigh 𝜗᭪ , dustin henderson 𝔁 reader | wc 1200
summary. you and dustin discover old outdated walkie - talkies that still work. you start talking to each other late at night, sharing those thoughts and dreams, slowly but surely falling in love through your late night conversations.
labels. no definite description of reader, gender neutral reader, shy & kind reader, reassuring dustin, new party member reader, worrying about being of use. dustin & suzie are only platonic friends here. party mentioned, max is readers best friend. mike doesn’t like reader. yet
‧₊˚ ୨୧ mina speaks. this is my first ever time writing for dustin, so i tried to come up with a prompt suited for him. i hope this is well suited to your liking!
you pace around dustin's room, your eyes tracing over the multitude of trinkets and gadgets that adorn every surface. his room is a testament to his brilliant mind and boundless curiosity, and you can’t help but feel a bit out of place amidst it all. you hear him rustling behind you, dismantling his radio tower after yet another failed attempt to reach his friend, he met in know where camp, suzie.
❝ hey y/n, come here, ❞ dustin calls out, his voice full of excitement. you then turn to see him holding up two old, slightly battered walkie - talkies. ❝ look at what i found! ❞
you aren't gonna lie, it did startle you for a moment, what could possibly make him speak in a manner like this? you first looked over at him, but his eyes were met with the walkie - talkies.
you walk over, curiosity piqued. ❝ oh my gosh, wow! ❞ you let out content, eyes widening. ❝ do you think they still work? ❞
❝ only one way to find out, ❞ he grins, handing you one in the process. ❝ c'mon, step into the hallway and speak into it. ❞ he lets out like he was a kid in a candystore.
you walk out of dustin's room and into the dimly lit hallway, suddenly getting nervous focusing on what you were gonna say into the walkie - talkie. to put it quite frankly you putting way to much thought into this. your cheeks heat up, ❝ h-hi dustin can you hear me? ❞ when you heard yourself from his room, it came out choppier then you would've imagined, i mean they did look in very good condition you thought to yourself.
dustin's reply is just as garbled. ❝ i can… you… hold on… fix… ❞
seeing how the testing process was done with, you walked to his doorway with baby steps and peeked into his room. his eyebrows were furrowed with a hand rubbing his chin, perhaps in thought. ❝ what should we do? ❞ you asked gloomily as you return to his room, handing the walkie-talkie back to him. ❝ is there something you can do dustin? ❞ ❝ hm i think i could yeah, nothing a bit of tinkering can't fix, ❞ dustin assures you, already examining the device with a keen eye.
later that night, you lied in bed, the walkie-talkie dustin gave you sitting on your nightstand, right next to your walkman and cassettes. as soon as you returned home, you decorated you new prized possession with stickers and adhesive gems to your liking. you reach for it hesitantly, wondering if he’s still awake. finally, you muster the courage to press the button.
❝ h-hello, dustin. are you there? ❞ you let out as soft as a whisper, feeling a bit foolish and bashful.
almost immediately, his voice comes through, clear and bright. ❝ hi y/n, it's dustin. do you copy? ❞
❝ o-oh! i didn't think you would answer so quickly, ❞ the corners of your lips turning upwards. ❝ i just ... i wasn't so sure if you'd still be awake, ❞ you admitted, laughing softly
❝ of course, I’m always up for a late-night chat, ❞ he replies warmly, emitting a soft chuckle hearing your voice. ❝ how are you feeling? ❞
you hesitate, unsure how to put your swirling thoughts into words. ❝ i don’t know … i guess i feel like i’m a burden to the party. ❝ i mean, I just joined, and sometimes it feels like I’m not really useful. ❞ honestly this was on your mind for a while, just never had anyone to talk to about it, besides perhaps your stuffed animals.
❝ why would you think that? ❞ dustin’s voice is full of genuine concern. ❝ you were recruited by max, right? ❞ ❝ i would assume she knows a good addition when she sees one. ❞
❝ yeah, but it’s just … there’s this tension, ❞ you admit. ❝ will is great. he’s been so welcoming and loves talking about d&d. lucas and i get along well too. we both think max is amazing. plus jane is super pretty and has very stylish outfits! but mike … it feels like he doesn’t like me. ❞
dustin sighs softly. ❝ mike’s a bit … odd. he’s only really been close to me, lucas, will, and el jane for so long. it takes him time to warm up to new people. but he will, I promise. ❞
❝ i really hope so dustin. ❞ I say quietly. feeling better by the minute ❝ it’s just hard, feeling like an outsider. ❞
❝ hey, ❞ dustin’s voice is firm yet comforting. ❝ you’re not an outsider. you’re part of the party now. and for what it’s worth … I think you’re pretty amazing. ❞
your heart skips a beat. ❝ r-really? ❞ you squeaked, your palm immediately landed on your mouth in disbelief
❝ yeah, ❞ he says softly. ❝ i … i like you. a lot. ❞
you stay silent for a moment, processing his words. ❝ i-i like you too, dustin,❞ unsure if he meant what he meant he said. like platonic like or romantic like? ❝ no like, ugh listen to me y/n. like i really like like you. ❞ he confessed. dustin almost instantly regreted uttering those words till about three seconds later .. ❝ well i think ... i think i also like like you too. ❞ finally whisper back, enphasis on the second like. a smile spreading across your face. hoping he reciprocated across the walkie - talkie.
you both spend the rest of the night talking, sharing your dreams, your fears, and everything in between. as the hours slip by, you realize just how much you should cherish this moment, and every moment with dustin from here on out. these whispered connections that bring you closer together.

age of parring ➵ 13 - 14
extra ➵ thanks for this adorable request, hope it suits well to your liking!
y/n and ponyboy had been seen each other for a while.
too bad the both of you were pretty young to see each other besides at school.
how badly the both of you wanted to be a corny cutesy teenage couple walking around arms entangled!
you and pony had plans! unfortunately, unable for them to get made up for.
you had came up with a plan, a safe one in the comfort of either home, with a side of supervision!
❝ pony! i just came up with a super genius idea! ❞ you yelped as you ran to him reaching for his hands as you smiled wide.
pony expressed his feeling of curiosity, almost ignoring the fact that you were grabbing his hands.
❝ what could it be? ❞ he asked smiling at you, gosh he is so whipped for you!
you’re practically his girlfriend, his first love.
anyway, as the both of you were walking down the halls you told him how the both of you should have a sleepover, this came to your mind as you fantasized cuddling him.
perhaps stealing a few kisses here and there!
much to ponyboy’s surprise, darry had agreed to the sleepover, he was jumping around visualizing you in cute pajamas!
much to soda’s dismay, he had to figure where he was gonna have to sleep at night..
the day had come, you have been dropped of by your mom. she bid you goodbye and wished you to have a great time.
you knocked on the front door, shivering wrapping your arms around yourself attempting to warm up.
ponyboy happened to answer, you dropped your bags and engulfed him in a hug, standing in tiptoes.
your arms that were previously on yourself wrapped around his neck.
pony quickly wrapped his around your waist, pecking your forehead and grabbing your things leading you to his shared bedroom with soda.
you greeted darry and soda with a quick wave as pony hurried you inside, slamming the door shut.
❝ aww look how in love pony is! ❞ the thought of pony banishing him from the bedroom passing soda’s head.
darry chuckled arms crossed, hopeful the both of you wouldn’t be too loud.
you crawled into bed with pony, as he was skimming through the books he had.
❝ pony, come in bed with me! ❞ you whined, rubbing your eyes.
hopefully you wouldn’t fall asleep to quickly.
pony came over to you, laying down playing with your hair. the turned to face him making eye contact.
❝ i love your eyes y/n, do yknow that? ❞ pony whispered placing his head under your chin.
you giggled sitting up, grabbing pony’s head you looked at him sending a signal. you lips connected with his.
you felt his lips smile into the kiss, you only smiled back in response.
unexpectedly he broke the kiss, later wrapping his hands around your waist. pushing you down into the mattress as you giggled.
the both of you cuddled, switching the little spoon role quite often. the time passing by slowly, moon shining from the window.
pony was reading the hustle to you, after you begged him to read wanting to hear his voice narrating.
his whispers tickled your neck as he continued, your eyelids feeling droopy and rubbing them in the process.
❝ then finally, the ball came down the table and almost imperceptible fraction of an inch closer to the rail than normally.❞
❝ big john picked up the ball, held it-❞ ponyboy slowly turned his head, seeing the presence of you breathing in and out. your hair neatly placed upon your shoulders.
pony placed his bookmark in the book, shutting it and dropping it on the ground for him to pick up later.
he positioned himself comfortably grabbing hold of a blanket and covering the both of you underneath it.
he sighed and you admired your striking face, smiling knowing that you were safe with him.
he closed his eyes, reassuring himself that he would see you in the exact same spot the next morning.

context. a glimpse into y/n toizer’s life and her connection to the curtis brothers and their group of friends. this multi - part fic explores the bond y/n shares with the boys and how they view her as their “second mother,” a central figure in their lives.
labels. mild language, mentions of familial struggles, and emotional themes of loss and responsibility.
‧₊˚ ୨୧ mina speaks. revamping my first ever work from wattpad, this was truly my best idea just executed very poorly & i was desperate to fix it to my fulfillment. i really hope this reaches my target audience. without further ado, i wish this project shows everyone potential in enjoying. thank you all so much ♡
there’s something about the early evening that seems to freeze time. golden light spills across the cracked pavement, turning everything softer, warmer, even if life in tulsa rarely ever is.
y/n toizer leaned against the rickety fence outside the curtis house, the hem of her sundress swaying lightly in the breeze. her eyes followed her youngest brother, charlie, as he chased after soda and ponyboy with a whoop of laughter. next to her, matteo, taller and already wearing the sharp edges of teenagehood, leaned with crossed arms, watching the chaos unfold.
❝why do i get the feeling they’re going to break something?❞ y/n let out, nudging matteo lightly with her elbow.
❝because they always do,❞ matteo replied dryly, though there was a hint of amusement on his face.
the screen door slammed open, and darry stepped out, wiping his hands on a rag. he looked older than his twenty years, the weight of responsibility written in the lines on his face and the strength in his shoulders. still, when he saw y/n, his expression softened in a way it rarely did for anyone else.
❝you’re too soft on those kids, y/n,❞ darry said, but there was no real heat in his voice.
y/n tilted her head with a smile, her eyes sparkling with affection. ❝they’re just having fun. besides, it’s not like you’re any better. i seem to remember you teaching soda how to climb that tree last summer.❞
darry chuckled, shaking his head. ❝you’ve got a good memory.❞
it was true. she always remembered the little things — like how soda hated peas but loved mashed potatoes, or how ponyboy preferred books over ball games, or how two - bit had a soft spot for anything with a joke attached to it. she remembered how johnny flinched at loud noises and how steve’s bravado hid the fact that he just wanted to be seen.
and then there was dally, the wild card. even he softened around her, though he’d never admit it outright.
when the curtis parents had passed, y/n had stepped in as naturally as breathing. she was there to help darry when he didn’t know how to balance keeping a roof over their heads and making sure soda and pony still had a childhood.
at the same time, y/n had her own family to care for. her brothers needed her just as much, if not more, and she often stretched herself thin trying to be everything for everyone. but she never complained. it wasn’t in her nature.
later that evening, the boys were sprawled out in the curtis living room, the air filled with lazy conversation and laughter.
y/n sat on the couch, her legs tucked neatly under her, a half-mended shirt in her lap. two - bit leaned against the armrest, grinning as he recounted some exaggerated story, while soda rested his head in her lap, contentedly half - asleep.
❝y/n,❞ ponyboy said suddenly, looking up from his book. ❝why don’t you ever get mad at us?❞
the room quieted at his question, all eyes turning to her. she paused, her fingers stilling on the needle and thread.
❝mad?❞ she echoed, tilting her head.
❝yeah,❞ pony continued, his brow furrowed. ❝you’re always so nice, even when we mess up.❞
y/n’s smile was soft, almost wistful. ❝it’s not that i don’t get upset, pony. it’s just … i know how hard life can be. for all of us. sometimes, kindness is the only thing that keeps us going.❞
johnny, who rarely spoke up, murmured, ❝you’re real good at that, y/n.❞
❝at what?❞ she asked gently.
❝at making things better,❞ he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
the room fell into a comfortable silence after that, the kind that only existed between people who truly cared for one another.
as the night wore on, y/n gathered her brothers to head home. charlie was half - asleep, leaning against her side, while matteo walked ahead, his hands shoved into his pockets. darry walked them to the gate, his hand resting lightly on the small of y/n’s back.
❝you know, you don’t have to take care of everyone,❞ he said quietly.
y/n looked up at him, her expression unreadable for a moment before she smiled. ❝i know, darry. but someone has to.❞
❝besides, i want to.❞ y/n let out in a whisper.
he didn’t argue, because he knew she was right. but as he watched her walk away, her silhouette fading into the dark, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of worry. she gave so much of herself to others, and he wondered if she ever kept anything for herself.
❝take care of her, matt,❞ darry called softly to her brother.
matteo glanced back, his expression serious. ❝always.❞

summary. dallas’ perspective on y/n, delving into his tough exterior and how she manages to reach the vulnerable parts of him he keeps hidden. through dallas’ eyes, we see the impact of her unwavering kindness and how she brings a rare sense of peace to his otherwise chaotic life.
labels. dally’s point of view.
warnings. mentions of dallas’ rough upbringing, and brief references to violence and criminal behavior.
life’s a fight. always has been. you either take the punches or you throw ‘em, and i’ve never been the kind to just sit there and take it. the streets taught me that. new york taught me that.
but for some reason, y/n never needed to fight. she could walk into a room and somehow everything got quieter, calmer. like even the meanest bastard wouldn’t dare cross her. i used to think it was because she was soft, too sweet for her own good. but now i know better. y/n’s tougher than most people i’ve ever met. just in a different way.
the first time i met her, i thought she was a joke.
it was a couple years back. i’d just started hanging around with the curtis boys and their little crew. didn’t trust any of them yet, not really. but they had my back in a fight, and that was good enough.
y/n was sitting on the couch at their place, holding pony’s arm and telling him to quit squirming while she bandaged him up. he’d taken a tumble during a game of football, and the kid was whining like he’d lost a leg or something.
saw two other kids, looked just like her. the younger boy spoke.
❝im so sorry pony! i didn’t mean too, i’ll do anything to make it up to you!❞
i already don’t like him, why are his glasses so big?
pony, one i was familiar with replied.
❝don’t worry ‘bout it charlie, we were just playing around ... ouch! y/n … that hurts.❞
❝you’re fine, pony,❞ she said, her voice calm but firm. ❝just sit still.❞
i leaned against the doorframe, watching her. she didn’t look like she belonged in a place like this — too clean, too pretty, too … good.
❝who’s this?❞ i asked, jerking my chin toward her.
❝that’s y/n,❞ soda said, grinning. ❝she’s like our guardian angel or something.❞
❝angel, huh?❞ i smirked, crossing my arms. ❝doesn’t look like much to me.❞
y/n glanced up then, her eyes meeting mine. they weren’t soft like i expected. there was steel in them, and it threw me off.
❝and you must be dallas,❞ she said, her voice steady. ❝i’ve heard about you.❞
❝yeah? what’d you hear?❞
❝that you’re trouble.❞
i grinned, stepping closer. ❝and you’re not scared?❞
she smiled back, just a little. ❝should i be?❞
i didn’t know what to say to that, so i just shrugged and walked away. but that was the start of it, i guess. the beginning of whatever this thing is between me and her.
y/n’s different from anyone i’ve ever known. most people take one look at me and decide i’m not worth their time. hell, half the time i don’t blame ‘em. i’m a mess, and i know it.
but not y/n. she sees through all the crap, like she’s got some kind of sixth sense for knowing when someone’s not as tough as they act.
there was this one night, a few months after we met. i’d gotten into a fight with some socs down by the tracks. they jumped me, four against one, and i didn’t exactly come out on top. i managed to drag myself to the curtis house, bloodied and bruised, thinking maybe darry could patch me up.
instead, i found y/n sitting on the porch, reading some book i didn’t recognize.
❝what the hell happened to you?❞ she asked, her eyes going wide when she saw me.
❝just a little disagreement,❞ i muttered, trying to brush past her.
but she wasn’t having it. she grabbed my arm, surprisingly strong for someone so dainty, and pulled me inside.
❝sit,❞ she ordered, pointing to the kitchen table.
i thought about arguing, but something in her voice made me shut up and do as she said. she grabbed a towel and some ice, cleaning me up without a word.
❝you’ve got to stop doing this to yourself, dallas,❞ she said after a while, her voice quiet.
❝doing what?❞ i asked, wincing as she dabbed at a cut on my forehead.
❝acting like you don’t matter,❞ she said, her eyes meeting mine. ❝like it doesn’t matter if you get hurt.❞
i didn’t know what to say to that, so i just looked away.
it’s funny. i’ve been through more fights and close calls than i can count, but the only thing that’s ever really scared me is the thought of losing y/n.
i don’t mean that in a romantic way or anything. it’s just … she’s the only person who’s ever made me feel like i’m worth something. like maybe i’m not as screwed up as i think i am.
she’s always there, no matter what. when i screw up, when i push people away, when i do something stupid that lands me in trouble — y/n’s there, not judging, not lecturing. just … there. in a good way.
there was this one time, not too long ago, when things got really bad. i’d been arrested again, and when i got out, i didn’t want to see anyone. i holed up in my crappy little room, trying to pretend the rest of the world didn’t exist.
but y/n didn’t let me. she showed up one afternoon, knocking on the door until i finally let her in.
❝what do you want?❞ i asked, my voice rough.
❝to check on you,❞ she said simply, stepping inside like she owned the place.
she didn’t say much after that, just sat with me, her presence steady and grounding. after a while, i started talking — about new york, about my parents, about all the crap i never tell anyone.
and she listened. she didn’t try to fix me or tell me everything was going to be okay. she just listened, and somehow, that was enough.
y/n’s the kind of person you don’t expect to find in a place like this. she’s too good for it, too good for any of us, really. but she stays anyway, and i don’t think i’ll ever understand why.
all i know is, i’d do anything to protect her.

most people think i’m all jokes and no depth. and hey, i get it. it’s easier that way — crack a joke, lighten the mood, and nobody asks too many questions. but y/n? she never fell for that act.
she sees right through me, every damn time.
i think the first time i realized how much y/n mattered to me was when we were all hanging out at the curtis house. soda and steve were arguing over some car part, pony was reading, and darry was working on god - knows - what in the kitchen. i was sitting there, flipping through a comic, when y/n came in with her brothers, charlie and matteo.
the second she walked through the door, the whole place felt … brighter. not in a cheesy, lovey-dovey way, ok maybe .. but like she just brought this energy with her that made everything a little better.
❝two-bit,❞ she said, smiling at me. ❝you’re not causing trouble, are you?❞
❝me? trouble?❞ i grinned, holding up my hands. ❝i’m an angel, y/n. pure as the driven snow.❞
she laughed, shaking her head. ❝sure you are.❞
that laugh, man. it’s the kind of laugh that makes you feel like you’ve done something right, even if you’ve been screwing up all day.
y/n gets my humor in a way not many people do. most folks think i’m just trying to be funny for the sake of it, but she knows there’s more to it than that.
one time, i was sitting on the curb outside the dx, cracking jokes with soda while we waited for steve to get off work. y/n showed up, carrying a bag of snacks for her brothers, and sat down next to me.
❝what’s so funny?❞ she asked, tilting her head.
❝just telling soda about the time darry tried to fix that leaky faucet and flooded the kitchen,❞ i said, grinning.
she chuckled, but then her expression softened. ❝you always know how to make people laugh, two-bit. it’s a good thing.❞
i shrugged, leaning back on my hands. ❝somebody’s gotta do it. keeps things from getting too heavy, you know?❞
she didn’t say anything for a minute, just looked at me like she was trying to figure something out.
here she goes again.
❝you know it’s okay to let things be heavy sometimes, right?❞ she said finally, her voice quiet.
i didn’t know how to respond to that, so i just nodded, my throat feeling tighter than it should have.
y/n’s got this way of grounding me, even when i don’t realize i need it. it’s not like she tells me what to do or anything — she just … reminds me that i’m more than the jokes i make.
like the time i got into a fight with some socs. it wasn’t a big deal or anything, but i ended up with a busted lip and a bruise on my cheek. when i showed up at the curtis house, trying to laugh it off, y/n wasn’t having it.
❝two-bit, what happened?❞ she asked, her brow furrowing as she stepped closer.
❝nothing,❞ i said, waving her off. ❝just had a little disagreement with some rich boys, that’s all.❞
she didn’t buy it for a second.
❝sit down,❞ she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.
i sat, mostly because it was y/n and not darry telling me what to do. she grabbed a washcloth and started cleaning up the cut on my lip, her touch gentle but firm.
❝you don’t have to act like it doesn’t hurt, you know,❞ she said after a moment.
❝i’m fine,❞ i muttered, but the way she looked at me made me feel like maybe i wasn’t.
the thing about y/n is, she’s not just kind — she’s smart, too. she knows when to push and when to back off, and she always seems to know exactly what to say.
like the time i was feeling like i didn’t really belong in the group. everyone else had their thing — darry was the leader, soda was the charmer, pony was the brains, and even johnny had this quiet strength about him. me? i was just the guy who made everyone laugh.
i was sitting on the porch, nursing a beer and feeling sorry for myself, when y/n came out and sat down next to me.
❝what’s got you so quiet?❞ she asked, nudging me with her shoulder.
❝nothing,❞ i said, taking a sip of my drink.
❝doesn’t sound like nothing,❞ she replied, her tone light but probing.
i sighed, staring at the ground. ❝sometimes i feel like … i don’t know. like i’m just the clown of the group, you know? like i’m not really good for anything else.❞
she was quiet for a moment, and i braced myself for some kind of pitying response.
❝you know that’s not true, right?❞ she said finally. ❝you’re the heart of this group, two-bit. you keep us all together, even when things get rough.❞
her words hit me harder than i expected, and for once, i didn’t have a joke to make.
❝thanks, y/n,❞ i said quietly, my voice rough.
❝anytime,❞ she replied, her smile soft and genuine.
if you ask me, y/n’s the glue that holds us all together. she’s always there, always making sure we’re okay, even when she’s got her own stuff to deal with.
she’s not just a friend — she’s family. and i’d do anything to make sure she knows that.

summary. after cassie & nate’s so called relationship was called quits. you became nate’s new hot girlfriend. cassie being cassie did everything she could do to win nate back. from copying your hair & makeup, your fashion choices, and even the way you portrayed yourself. analyzing your every move.
warnings. mentions of jealousy, obsession, stalking, unwanted attention, emotional manipulation, internalized homophobia, unhealthy behavior.
‧₊˚ ୨୧ mina speaks. my first time writing a female character x reader. i wouldn’t call it wlw but maybe it could if you know what i mean. like just a girl obsessing over you! barely any dialogue by the way. CASSIE’S POV
i couldn’t stop looking at her. the way she looked at him. The way he looked at her. y/n wasn’t even trying— just laughing and being herself, nate’s hand on her lower back like it belonged there. the way he used to touch me.
there’s a tightness in my chest every time i see them together. like I can’t breathe, but I’m also addicted to watching. i hate it. but I can’t stop.
i stand at the edge of the party, my gaze darting between them. her hair is loose tonight, and i know that by tomorrow i’ll be doing the same thing. i’ll curl mine just like that. her outfit? It’s effortless, but it works. i’ll be ordering that exact top later.
it’s not that i want to be her. it’s that i have to be her. i have to understand why nate left me for her. what’s so special about her?
i know it’s pathetic. maddy would’ve tell me i’m insane, if she hadn’t completely cut me off after she found out about nate and i, and kat would probably give me one of her judgmental looks, but it’s not like i’m hurting anyone by copying her. it’s just a way to get nate’s attention back. to make him realize i can be what he wants — again.
i watch them for another second, the smile on y/n’s face curling into my mind, sinking deep into my thoughts. the way her lips look so perfect, a soft laugh falling from them as nate whispers something into her ear. his eyes trail her body, the same way they used to on me, but now they’re filled with this … desire that used to be mine.
beneath it all, it feels like she’s stolen everything from me. but i’ll get it back. as simple as that.
the first time i copied her hair, i saw nate look. just a glance, but it was enough. enough to make me think this wasn’t crazy. i could do this. if I could just be perfect, like her, he’d see it.
but tonight, watching them, i realize something feels wrong. different. It’s not just nate anymore. the more i stare at her, the more I feel this pull toward y/n herself. it makes no sense. i’m supposed to hate her. she’s the reason nate isn’t with me. she’s the problem.
but i can’t stop staring.
it’s not just her hair. or her makeup. it’s the way she carries herself. the confidence. the ease. i’m trapped in a cycle of fear and desperation. but she? she’s free. it’s slowly consuming me. at least i happen to be somewhat self aware.
that’s when i realize what it is — why i’m so obsessed. i’m not just jealous of her being with nate. i’m jealous of her. she’s everything i want to be. free, beautiful, confident … powerful. everything I’m trying to be.
and deep down … i know i don’t just want to be her. i want her to notice me. maybe if she did, i wouldn’t need nate.
the next day, i go all in. my hair, makeup, outfit — all styled exactly like hers. i even spent hours studying her instagram, her poses, her expressions. i have it all down. but it’s not just about nate anymore. i’m doing this for me. i want her to see me. to notice me the way nate notices her.
when i walk into the party later that night, i feel the buzz of attention immediately. people are looking at me, but i don’t care about them. i’m looking for her. and then i spot her, standing by the drinks with nate. her eyes sweep over the crowd, and i wait, holding my breath, until they land on me.
she stares.
it was only for a moment, but i saw it. and something in me snapped, change.
i walk up to them, my heart pounding in my chest. nate barely glances at me, but i don’t care anymore. it’s her i want.
❝ you look … familiar. ❞
she says it with a raised brow, a smirk playing on her lips, and my stomach flips. she noticed. she sees me.
❝ do i? ❞ i ask, my voice quieter than i mean for it to be, but she’s still looking at me. she’s really looking at me.
❝ almost like a mirror. ❞
my cheeks flush, but before i can say anything else, nate pulls her away, his hand on her waist, guiding her to the next room. but i catch the way she glances back at me over her shoulder.
for the rest of the night, i find myself watching her more than nate. she moves with such ease, completely oblivious to the way i’m hanging on her every move. her every smile. every word.
weeks pass, and the obsession only grows. i study her. every little detail. i spend hours scrolling through her photos, reading every post, learning her habits. i don’t care if it’s wrong. i need to understand her, to know her. i start showing up wherever I know she’ll be. parties, the mall, even the café she frequents.
one day, i see her sitting alone in a booth at a diner. i feel my heart racing as i sit down at the table across from hers, pretending to be engrossed in my phone, but really i’m watching her. her hair is pulled back today, and i make a mental note to try it the same way.
and then, she looks up and catches me staring. my heart stops.
❝ hey, cassie, right? ❞ she says, her voice casual, like it’s nothing, like i haven’t been stalking her for weeks.
i nod, my throat dry, and she smiles. she waves me over, and i feel my legs move before my brain can catch up.
❝ come sit, let’s talk. ❞
i don’t know what to say. she’s so calm, so … collected, and here i am, a nervous wreck. but as i sit across from her, i can’t help but feel like maybe this is it. maybe this is the moment she’ll understand me.
hours go by, and we talk about everything — nothing. she’s so easy to talk to. i feel like i could spend forever just sitting here, listening to her voice, watching her lips move. and then she says something that sends a chill down my spine.
❝ i know what you’re doing, cassie. ❞
my heart stops. i feel my breath catch in my throat, and for a second, i can’t speak.
❝ what are you talking about? ❞ i ask, trying to play it off, but my voice shakes.
she leans forward, her eyes locking onto mine, and suddenly it’s hard to breathe.
❝ i see you, i always have been. i’m not blind. i do find it very flattering though. ❞
i feel heat rise to my cheeks. i can’t look at her anymore, but i feel her eyes burning into me.
❝ i don’t know what you’re doing at all, but if you need a friend i’m always here. ❞
the words hang in the air between us, and for the first time, i realize what i’ve been chasing. it’s not nate. it’s her. it’s always been her.
i don’t know how long we sit there, just staring at each other. the world fades away, and all i can think about is her. how i want to be her, how i want to be with her. it’s all so confusing, but at the same time, it’s crystal clear.
❝ i guess i wanted you to notice me. ❞
her expression softens, and for the first time, i see her as more than just competition. there’s something about her that pulls me in, something i can’t ignore anymore.
❝ cassie, i noticed you a long time ago … ❞
