I personally think Tomoya fell for Akira as a sort ‘love at first sight’ thing but it’s been gradually developing, while Akira’s the same but really fell for him when she said they were friends (THEY WERE LIT BOTH BLUSHING LIKE COME ON)

The true reason Kyouran knew they were close— he peered into the room over and saw them holding hands and immediately thought they were a couple in denial.

They’re touchy like that, but Tomoya still gets flustered when Akira outright asks. He’ll let her do whatever she wants though, because he feels at peace when he can feel her hand.
