Hanan and her husband have 3 young children, Lana (10), Abdul Karim (7), and Adam (2); since last year they've been displaced and without income.

Their house in Khan Younis was destroyed with them inside, as well as the clothing store which supported their family. Now, they live in a weak tent which fails to protect them from even the weather, surrounded by scarcity and disease on the coast of Ghazzah.

To help them evacuate and rebuild their lives, they are trying to raise $100,000 USD. So far, they've only raised $9,695; not even 1/10th of their goal.

I am Omar Mazen Rabah Hammad, I am 18 years old, with my father Omar, my father is 64, my father has Sultan's disease. I live alone. I lost my family and I live with my father. I am afraid of losing my father. We have lost many members of our family and my father suffers from many diseases. If I don't help my parents, I will lose my parents. I'm afraid I'll lose my parents and stay alone. 💔☹️

Alabama Precedent and My Online Presence

So as if having ICE breathing down my family's neck isn't enough, the state I live in—Alabama—is attempting to age restrict all social media websites to be 16+.

This would require websites to have age verification processes that they do not have the money or desire to implement, so it's very likely that this is going to go down the same route that the porn ban did... I'm likely going to get blocked by websites for being in Alabama.

For those who don't know, Alabama enforced a restriction on porn websites that require age verification processes which... Didn't go over well since they instead of implementing it just blocked Alabama users entirely! And with this new bill proposed, Alabama might get entirely cut off of social media.

Which means I can't use social media... To post my work.

Which fucking sucks!!!

Am I working on getting a VPN? Yeah, but it will still disable all social media on my phone which means for the majority of the day when I'm bedridden, I won't be able to be on social media.

I'm frustrated and feeling extremely suffocated right now because I am too disabled to know people in person. My entire life is online because I physically CANNOT go out and talk to people.
