shifters are genuinely so cute tbh.
Like what do you mean you're shifting to be a badass hero? Like fuck yeah, save the damn world.
What do you mean you're shifting to have this peaceful simple life? Breathe into that air and feast into your life.
What do you mean you're shifting for this family member? You must care and love them so much to consider them your family.
What do you mean you're shifting for your significant other? You fell in love so hard even though y'all are in the longest distance relationship, you're the high standards.
We all are shifting for something that fills the purpose of our lives, and something about that is so human of us.
I think we, as a shifting community, get so caught up in shifting to our desired realities that we start to forget to take breaks at times. Forget to pause and look after ourselves even if we are in our original reality where we wish we were somewhere else.
I think we need to remember to look after ourselves like we would to our desired reality self. Yes, you can not want to be here. Yes, you can be desperate to shift and see the people in your desired reality, but there is also THIS reality self that still needs you.
You still need you in your original reality at the moment. Never give up on shifting, but remember your original reality self STILL needs YOU.
I hate when ppl are like "You can't just say a couple affirmations before bed and go to sleep and expect to shift" because like, yes you can? People have shifted accidentally before, what makes you think that it's not gonna happen? If you're feeling really low energy, it's okay to just say a couple affirmations and go to bed or just skip that and sleep. Worst comes to worst, you don't shift. There's always tomorrow night though
Anyone else just makes a shrine/alter for deities than just meditate or do tarot cards than play music for a few minutes for them and just chill with them but don't work with them? But that's what I do and it's quite relaxing I think.
How to be Happy in Life:
1. Finish script
2. Shift
3. Happy!!!
I think we can overcomplicate offerings for deities, like each and every offering that is for a deity should ALWAYS be respectful. There's no 'if/buts/maybes' on that.
But some offerings can be simple like saying thank you outloud or in your head after eating your meals to Demeter, Artemis, or any other deity that are similar to that in your religion. Saying that your skincare, makeup, and brushing your hair is dedicated to Aphrodite or Hekate, for example. Saying good morning to Apollo in the morning when you open up your curtains and doors, meditating out in the sun for Apollo and Lucifer. Doing something risky and playful in honour of Loki and Hermes. Having a glass of water by yourself or washing your hands in honour of Poseidon. Learning how to defend yourself for Ares and Odin, paying your respect to the dead for Hades, and Anubis. Those are all examples of offerings, devotion or doing something in their name that you can do if you currently don't have any offerings for them at the moment, or if your sick and don't have the energy for offerings, or if you can't do any offerings because of unsupportive family, ect.
The way some people cannot understand that when I, an aroace-spec person, call someone "hot" it doesn't mean I'd like to share bed with them, but that I think they are a pleasing sight for my eyes. Yeah, they have good features. Yeah, they are pretty/handsome. That's it. Nothing more, it's just nice to look at them. Just like looking at some flower or aesthetically pleasing food. You don't need to like the scent of that flower or taste of that food, but it looks nice.
I've seen this saying being passed around a few times. Not sure where it is from, but I love it:
If you don't know who to pray to, then pray to Hermes. Even if he cannot help you, he knows someone who can.
Did any other aroace people not care about love. Like love and relationships were nothing to you until like primary school or high school where people started to talk about crushes and then the pressure hit you? Because I remember before all that I couldn't have care less and I know I'm aroace now but because of all those pressures it's hard to let go of the idea of having a relationship and a partner? Like I've become obsessed over it even though i'm aroace and know that at one point I didn't care about it. Maybe it's just me.
Has anyone else since they've decided to permashift to their desired reality started to just not care about things in their Original Reality/Current Reality? Like the things that got you stressed and filled with anxiety just doesn't seem to matter because you're not going to be here long? Like I've always been worried about what career I want to pursue but now that I know that I'm going to be shifting to my Marauders desired reality and I'm not coming back. I already am confident of what career I want to do there. I just don't care now about my career or any things that would bother me, embarrass me, make me scared, or make me feel anxious. Is it just me?
WAYS TO FEEL CONNECTED TO YOUR DESIRED REALITY:
1. Try to dress like your desired reality self (through clothing, make-up, hair, ect. If you can't for whatever reason, then wear something that your desired reality self would wear on a lazy day.)
2. Daydream about being in your desired reality, and if you have scripted specific scenes to happen, daydream you are in your desired reality, and that's happening.
3. Have a book that is filled with quotes, poems, drawings, and letters that are dedicated to your desired reality s/o, friends or family members, and/or dedicate it to write everything that the people who are important to you in your desired reality like and dislike, things you've observed about them.
4. Daydream about watching a movie or show with your s/o, friends, and family members while cuddling with them (platonically or romantically) while in your original reality.
5. Listen to music that reminds you of your desired reality, friends, family, s/o.
That's all I can think of for now, but now it's time for you to GO SHIFT!
