Tony Stark has this bit he does, where he pretends to forget who people are. It’s one of his favorites, really. Ned is the usual victim, but Peter has seen it played on a number of people.

And it’s funny. It really is.

It’s just not funny when Tony looks at Peter and says “Who are you again?” after Peter fought so hard to know the mechanic again post-spell, he finally is on speaking terms with his old teammates, he has a guest room in Stark Tower again. It’s not as funny when the man who used to be Peter’s father pretends not to know him, blissfully unaware of just how much he really has forgotten.

That’s when the bit stops being funny.

Young Peter Parker, being given a charm necklace after his parents died. The necklace has a charm belonging to his mother and one of his fathers birthstone. He never takes it off; theyre always with him.

Once he loses Ben, he adds another charm. It only feels right.

He comes back to life after being dusted, wearing the necklace. He adds one for Nat, one for Tony, and one for himself. He isnt who he used to be. It feels like that kid is dead.

Its only after Tony died that Peter finds out Tony took inspiration from the necklace. Pepper shows Peter how Tony engraved small symbols for each person hes lost in one of his suits. Peters symbol is the viking symbol for father and son. Pepper tells Peter about each of the symbols. Theres a lot of them: Tony seemed to feel that any blood spilled was on his hands.

After May died, another charm was added. This was the first one where the person left a charm intentionally, for the purpose of being added to the necklace.

It was getting a bit heavy around Peters neck, nowadays.

Once the spell took effect, Peter wondered if he should add charms for everyone hes ever known.

He just took the necklace off instead.

Actually kinda sad that zero marvel ships are in the top 100 ao3 ships this year. NOT EVEN STUCKY WHICH IS THE TOP MCU SHIP.

TOP 100 AO3 SHIPS OF ALL TIME

1st: Stucky dropped by one rank from 4th to 5th. But still in the top 5!!

2nd: Stony dropped by one rank as well. From 6th to 7th. BUT TOP 10 ANYWAY SO YAY.

3rd: Irondad and Spiderson rose up by ONE RANK!!! From 20th to 19th!!! WE MADE IT TO TOP 20!!

4th: Pepperoni dropped FIVE ranks. Still I'm so happy we made it to like the top 35 ships!!

5th: Bucky/Reader. I'm not really into this but biases aside, this ship stayed in its spot! Congrats!

6th: Thor/Loki. THIS DROPPED NINE RANKS. Y'all still made it to top 70 which is a-okay! Congratulations! 👏👏

7th: Ironfrost. (I think that's the ship name??) Something I don't really ship but again biases aside, dropped 4 ranks but made it to the Top 80!

8th: Platonic Stucky. STUCKY IS ON HERE TWICE but in two different contexts. Dropped EIGHT RANKS, but still in the top 90!! 👏

9th: Clintasha. okay this came in 87 AND DROPPED NINETEEN RANKS by far the most a marvel ship has dropped overall this year. At least, on the bright side, it made it to the Top 90. 👏👏

10th: Clint/Agent Coulson. This, was unexpected. Like REALLY unexpected, I didn't even know this ship is that popular. BUT IT MADE IT AND I'M HAPPY FOR THE SHIPPERS. 👏👏👏
