Me, waiting for the upcoming 2022 Batman movie😄lets see how this year's Batman will fare...
American Psycho (2000)
For myself, I would rec:
1) Fab Gear: The Beatles And Fashion (Book by Paolo Hewitt)-> My fave so far amongst all the Beatles books that I have read, art & (Beatles) fashion rocks!🎨🕶👍 my rating: 10/10
2) Beatles '66: The Revolutionary Year (Book by Steve Turner)-> Basically, my fave Beatles year, so if you're into their psychedelic transition period too, this book's for you too🌈🌈🌈😊👍 my rating: 9/10
3) In His Own Write (Book by John Lennon himself)-> Well, if you're a Beatles fan, you just need to read what goes on in this Beatle mind, nonsensical stuff indeed✏📖🃏😅 my rating: 7.5/10
4) Being John Lennon (Book by Ray Connolly)-> Awesome, non-draggy autobiography of John, has some shocking & also bittersweet eg. the last few days/ years of John b4 his death parts... ❤🌈🌸my rating: 9/10
5) (Okay, this one's not directly a Beatles book but she is John's wife so lets just inc her in) Yoko Ono: Collector Of Skies (Book by Nell Beram & Carolyn Boriss-Krimsky)-> Just like book #4 as above, this is an autobiography of Yoko told in a simplified way, suitable for teens🎨🌈✏👘 my rating: 8/10
6) Grapefruit (Book by Yoko Ono herself)-> A cool compilation of Yoko's instructions that has a dreamy vibe to it imo, just like the authoress herself, no wonder John became intrigued by her & her art back in '66-'68!✏📖👘 my rating: 9/10
7) John (Solo Series)-> An easy to understand book to satisfy some of your John obsession😆👍my rating: 7.5/10
8) Revolver-> Technical explanation on how the band made the album’s songs from a music studio POV, still can satisfy the Revolver obsession in you (if you have, that is, like yours truly heee😆👍)💿my rating: 8/10
**I can't seem to find John's other self-written book as below via online though...😐
- A Spaniard In The Works
*** I probably will update further in this post because me have read other Beatles-related books although some of them are for children (well, I work in a library that's why😊✌) & maybe also including books that the Beatles found inspo material for their songs... these inc adaptations from their songs (for eg. A Little Help From My Friends, Octopus' Garden + sing-along CD, Imagine etc.), Paul's Grandude series & the Tibetan Book Of The Dead...😋🤙
Till then... reading is life!💛📖
What Beatles books would you recommend? If any :)
personally for information overloads i liked:
the beatles anthology by the beatles
the beatles biography by hunter davies
the beatles biography by bob spitz
all the songs: the story behind every beatles release by jean-michel guesdon
the beatles lyrics: the stores behind the music by hunter davies
the beatles book by hunter davies
to read just for fun I liked:
both of john lennon's books
john by cynthia lennon
150 glimpses of the beatles by craig brown (this is the same book as one, two, three, four: the beatles in time by craig brown)
wonderful tonight: george harrison, eric clapton, and me by pattie boyd
riding so high: the beatles and drugs by joe gooden
here, there, and everywhere: my life recording the music of the beatles by geoff emerick
the john lennon letters by hunter davies
john lennon: in my life by pete shotton
This😋👍george w those weird shades (groovy), paul looking all tired (sup bro?), john looking shocked (wonder why...) & normal ringo but this was where the mini tragedy in their tour happened... to be famous and wanted... and how hard it is to live up to ppl's expectations...🙂😐
