This only occurred to me last reread but, oh well.

In the beginning of BSD the mafia do the shootout in the agency and everyone is fine, obviously, Yosano is there. Guess who isn't?

Dazai.

He is always in random places, randomizing his pattern of movement. The cafe, the dorms, the agency, the city, the graveyard, bars. It always seemed as just simple laziness, which yeah checks out, but Dazai is the only ADA member who would actually be killed in a shootout like that. And since we are told the mafia have been to known to cause such scuffles for ADA in the past, it only makes sense for the one ADA member who cannot be magically healed to move around and never be in the office when everyone else is or too often in general.

I've never seen this mentioned anywhere, it is definitely not a new take, but what do you think?

To be fair, it doesn’t on automatics scream ‘actually evil’ but more ‘reclaiming being called evil to fwt’ yknow?

Idea: Shen Jiu wanders by the camp of children waiting for the entrance exam one night and comes across a small child beating Shang Qinghua with a stick shouting about his terrible writing and stupid ideas

It's very amusing even as Shang Qinghua is clearly not hurt he still looks cowed. And Shen Jiu is thoughtful, leaving his Shidi to get beaten by a small child

The next day the kids barely break soil before Shen Jiu is like: "That one" pointing at Shen Yuan

Everyone is surprised and pleased with his decision he leaves and in a frantic bit of panic Shang Qinghua nabs Luo Binghe

Which leads to Shen Yuan repeatedly stealing Luo Binghe and when questioned he says "he belongs on Qing Jing, not with that man"

Shen Qingqiu is delighted by the spite and joins Shen Yuan in trying to get Luo Binghe to switch to Qing Jing but Luo Binghe actually quite likes An Ding and Shang Qinghua who ruffles his hair and personally taught him to read.

Anyway Shen Qingqiu secretly delights in Shen's sassy and snarky ways but he's also bad with children so he's like "fascinating." *pokes Shen Yuan with a long stick*

Ming Fan tries to bully Shen Yuan and gets called a "forgettable cannon fodder" and "ant boy" and immediately deflates and cries

Remember Shen Yuan was a bored rich kid internet weirdo. He's not dealing with bullshit if he can get away with it

SO- I’ve been going to Momo-con all week this week, and I’ve been looking around for dc comics, to get a better idea of the general Batfam storyline, and I found a good fair few- I got two redhood comics detailing his backstory and what happened after, and a copy of nightwings 1st solo series debut, AND TELL ME WHY HIS HAIR IS SO- SO GLORIOUS IN HIS SOLO SERIES DEBUT COMIC. I COULD NEVER-

Messed Up Idea: Semi-Good reveal where Danny's parents fully accept and love him, but they go into overprotective mode when the GIW get a lucky shot in one day. Terrified of their precious son's end they move out to Gotham where he can get plenty of ecto but the GIW are less likely to find him.

Unfortunately the best way to keep him from being found is to keep him in a special room they built to keep his ecto-signature contained and untraceable. Danny hates this because his parents won't let him out of that room anymore! It's a gilded cage filled with soft comforts and things he loves, but his sister and friends aren't there and he can't feel the wind or see the sky. Only his parents come to see him, but he knows he should be grateful they love him so much. This is the most attention they've ever given him.

But sometimes Danny is Bad and he slips away to haunt the rooftops away from his new home. He knows that it's wrong and he's endangering himself and his parents but he misses Jazz in Stanford and his friends back in Amity and the stars just above the burning smog. Sometimes he just spends lonely nights staring out at the city lights before he needs to return to that loving prison. But maybe someone new can keep him company on those lonely nights until at last he can be free again.
