I’M LOSING IT, that Bruce just flat out says Damian and Jason will just lie through their teeth, neither of them really even blinks because yeah of course they’ll lie through their fucking teeth, so in swoops Dick and smiles and says, don’t worry, we’ll all lie low and wait for you to secure the Batcomputer, I’ll keep an eye on them! And they all just fucking fall for it, even Bruce lets his guard down and believes him, because that’s Dick for you, you forget he is a chaos gremlin who will lie through his fucking teeth if he decides he wants to, and he will do it with a smile on his face and an annoying quip to make you look in the other direction. Dick Grayson does not even hesitate when he’s up to shit, and you don’t even realize it until you’re already gone. But the point of it isn’t that he’s uncaring or spiteful about it, even on the very next page in Bruce’s assessment of Dick’s Gauntlet trial, the conclusion is that he will always choose his heart over the letter of the law. He can be just as devious as any of them, he can be just as reckless, he can lie with the best of them and be a contrary asshole, but it’s always because he’s doing what his heart thinks is right. Even if his heart thinks lying through his teeth is pretty fucking funny.
So I’ve recently gotten into the Percy Jackson fandom

i’m torn between percy being the kind of boyfriend to see the love of his life laying on the bed facing away from him and him coming up to kiss her cheek, give her a massage, etc. or seeing his best friend turned away from him, unsuspecting, and slapping her ass with the force of a thousand suns. the only thing i know for a fact is annabeth slaps his ass every time she sees him. he doesn’t even need to be laying down. he could be talking to zeus while she doing her whole architecture thing for olympus and she’ll just walk past and slap his ass and he’ll just continue his conversation with zeus without breaking eye contact, like he just doesn’t even acknowledge it and zeus is kind of thankful that percy didn’t take him up on the whole immortality thing bc that means that they will eventually die and he doesn’t have to deal with this shit for long
Why is it that most fanfiction today thinks that Bruce didn't try to avenge Jason's death? He did. In Batman#429 Bruce had every intention of stopping the Joker - permanently. The Clown had been made Iran's official Ambassador to the United Nations (this was 32 years ago and acceptable at the time). The US government was rightly worried about Batman killing the Joker and causing an international incident. So, the President asked Superman to keep an eye on Bruce.
Like that was going to stop Bruce. Batman was absolutely driven by vengeance at that point. Nothing was going to derail his plans for the Joker.
He went to UN as Bruce Wayne. Not the dillitant, playboy "Brucie" Wayne but Bruce I-am-vegance-and-the-night Wayne. The two come face to face. In those moments Bruce knows exactly what he has to do.
The Joker lived down to Bruce's expectations, attempting to kill everyone there with lethal Joker gas.
Superman saves the day by inhaling the deadly gas. Bruce becomes Batman, seemingly not really caring if anyone sees him donning the uniform. Bruce's need for vengeance is what's driving him here. He's done with subterfuge at that point.
This was written in 1989, my children, so Batman wasn't allowed to come right out and say "I'm going to kill that rat-bastard Joker myself!" However, it was clear that Batman saw this as a final conflict between the two of them. Bruce was also fine with the idea that he probably wasn't going to survive the fight. Dying while exacting final justice on the monster who killed his boy was acceptable to him, possibly even preferable.
Batman leaves Joker with what looks like a fatal gunshot wound near the heart. The helicopter they're in is about to crash. Batman does escape with his life but doesn't even consider trying to save the Joker's. He leaves him to die in a fiery painful manner and seems good with it.
When Superman shows up in time to pull a wounded Batman from the water, Bruce shouts at him to find the Joker's body. Not to try and save Batman but to haul Joker's cold, dead corpse from the river.
So fannon is wrong. Heck, Jason in cannon is wrong. Bruce did try and kill the Joker for what he'd done to Jason and at the time it looked like he'd succeeded too.
Headcanon that Artemis actually helped Pipers knife when she threw it into Medea’s back
That Asclepius kept Apollo alive for a few more seconds till Medea could save him
That Hephaestus and Hestia helped keep Apollo alive whenever he had to deal with Helios’s fire.
That Hermes helped keep Apollo and Piper from being discovered until after they had found the right shoes
Headcanon that Apollo’s family helped in their own small way to help makesure their brother and family could come home.
Holy guacamole!! i did another damn comic and i’m not ded
Enjoy a little bit of Tony and Peter, both are great characters
PS: I guess y’all get the reference
why did we see Max's letters and not have anyone read them. why did they big up Jason creating a mob when nothing happened. why did they have Eddie say he wasn't a hero then die saving no one. why have will be in love with Mike and not say it to anyone. why introduce new characters just to kill them and neglect others. why have so many storylines that are essentially meaningless. why-
