Hello everyone! December is coming, so i’ve decided to host a Secret Santa Gift Exchange for the Kindergarten Fandom! 🎊🎉 @chantilly6761 will be helping in the event to assign everyone their gift recipient (because I also want to join and I feel it’s inappropriate if I literally go up to someone and go “hEyy you have to make a gift for me uwu” like what) So please look out for her DM’s!

What is a Secret Santa?

It’s basically a gift exchange, where lots of people join and each are assigned a recipient to get a gift for. But they must not tell anyone else, that’s why it’s called a Secret Santa! It makes for a fun surprise when you get your gift! Traditionally, it’s done in real life where people can buy or make gifts for their recipient, but since this is online, we’ll be gifting art, writing, or other types of media? instead! Creations you can easily gift online!

When do signups last? The period of time we get to make our gift? When do we start gifting?

Signups : Starts at 27th October, 2:50 PM EST —> Ends at 2nd November, 11:59 AM EST

Secret Santa Assignments : Around 2nd November, 12:00 PM EST. Expect DM’s from @chantilly6761 , not me!

Drop Out Period : You have until 20th November to drop out if you change your mind. Don’t expect me to be more understanding if you attempt to drop out after that.

Check-in Progress : On 30th November and 22nd December.

Gift Posting Time! : From 28th December, 12:00 AM EST —> To 1st January 2025, 12:00 AM EST

Basically, you’ll have time from 3rd of November till the 28th of December to make your gift! That’s almost two months!

Any rules?

Keep your assignment a secret, this is crucial! That’s what puts the secret in Secret Santa after all!

It’s basic decency to provide a gift with content your recipient specifically asked for <3 just saying

No using Picrews or Gacha to make a gift. Please put in the effort.

No NSFW, sexualization of the characters, pedoph*lia, or inc*st AT ALL.

When specifying what you want for your gifts, it absolutely has to be Kindergarten related! Sorry! This is a Kindergarten event after all. (Yes, you can ask for content of your Kindergarten OC’s!)

Please only ask to switch recipients if you are extremely uncomfortable with the request/recipient. Asking to switch is not something to exploit.

Do NOT fill out joke forms. Please only fill in all your official information for the event. Remember you can only send 1 form.

Maybe I got a bit ambitious with the composition, especially since I was scrounging for time to get this done (we had quite a busy month) which meant I couldn't focus on details as much. But I knew I wanted to make something that felt significant for my boi.

I initially planned to include even more characters; the entirety of Gen 1 and a handful of others, but I knew that would've been too much for me to handle.

So I left on the cutting room floor-

The characters who Cody is on more negative terms with canonically (Duncan, Courtney, Alejandro)

Katie and Sadie (Sorry)

All but three of the post Gen 1 characters.

It's also the one year anniversary of posting my Total Drama art. Not that it's an especially significant thing to note, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

Here are some alternate renders.

The background is mostly just a mix of background tiles & tones in MediBang, as well as overlays and decorative brushes.

Next are the characters laid out individually and transparently (Sans Justin, Trent, DJ and Lightning as they're egregiously incomplete below the shoulders (At least they have a full head, which is more than can be said of Zeke or Sierra))

Cody & Dawn and LeShawna & Beth were drawn on the same layer, so I can't really separate them.

Geoff, Izzy and Tyler are just very small.

Some characters get cool outfits, some get very light redesigns, a couple look pretty much how they do in the show.

Izzy is dressed as a piñata, because why wouldn't they be?

Harold's look is very loosely based on Beat from JSRF

LeShawna's design is based on a look she has in Dramarama.

I can't draw Gwen the same way twice.

Nobody else has any specific inspirations for their looks.

Now that I think of it, the centre of the drawing is not dissimilar to what I drew last year. Similar compositionally, but different contextually.

Kinda embarrassing to look at my older art now, but that just means I'm super happy with the stylistic evolution. You can tell I've gotten more comfortable with the way I draw TD characters.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.

also hii lol i love the idea of reigen wearing a fake horn and hes an earth pony but i thought it would be interesting if ppl who noticed the fake horn thought he was an earth pony but he's actually a pegasus who got his wings clipped (he makes sure his wings stay covered under his suit)

serizawa def wouldn't get his cutiemark until he starts working with reigen uhh feel free to ask more

If it pleases and sparkles, here's my request/headcanon: After learning of the 'number gators' in math, Davey doodles sharp teeth and eyes on the greater-than/less-than symbols on his worksheets. He's also great at 'feeding' them the right answer~
