An OMORI Crossover AU Fic
On a bright, sunny morning...
In the middle of a lively town...
Inside a tall, bright tower...
Lies a boy sleeping in his room...
What's his name?
Sunny was used to waking up with his namesake shining on his face. What he wasn't used to was the surroundings of his new room. Ever since he moved to a recently liberated town when his mother struck luck with a deal on account of being "the 720th human supporter of MTT Productions" and scoring a new apartment at the MTT Complex, the quiet boy has been adjusting slowly to his new life. However, as his life usually entails...
some things from his past always seem to follow him.
"Good morning Sunny!"
"Time for school!"
"Guh..." Sunny grunted as he recollects himself, "Don't scare me like that..."
"Oops, sorry Sunny," Mari quickly apologized, "I'm just used to waking you up like that is all." She said this unaware that it wasn't as bad without the outstretched neck she had a habit of doing recently.
"THAT was 4 years ago," Sunny talked back, "Now, it's traumatizing, and it doesn't help that you're a ghost now."
Mari let out a small shy laugh before continuing, "Anyway, congratulations on getting back to school little bro!"
Ah, school. Sunny being a dropout at age 12 due to "having bigger problems" came to bite him in his back rear when he happened to encounter his dormmate who is also a kindergarten teacher.
"Yeah... good thing I managed to get into the same grade as everyone else."
Sunny's dreaded mental image of a 16 year old him going back to middle school was relieved when he got his assessment on where he was intellectually. He crammed any knowledge he could fit in his head for the test, guessing it was practically all for not. However, fate had other plans when he got the results and found out that-
"I'm still shocked you don't have to be smart in everything to pass school here..."
"That's no excuse to shirk your studies Sunny!" Mari playfully scolded, "A little perfection never hurt any...body..."
Mari's punchline to a 4-year long joke slowed to a whisper as Sunny stared at her glowing purple eyes as he slowly pointed his hand towards her elongated neck, then to his emptied, scarred eye, and then to his robotic glass eye sitting in a small bowl, taken out this month to clean as per robot eye hygiene protocol.
"... Breakfast is outside! Get dressed!"
The discussion ended with a quick nod as Mari unstretched her neck out the door and Sunny retrieved his glass eye. "From Alphys" was labeled in the tray where the eye rests. The boy opened his socket wide as he plopped the eye into it, as he slowly started gaining vision in his right side.
"Magic is weird," Sunny mumbled as he opened for his closet door and reached for the neatly folded clothes, putting each piece one by one.
Sunny looked at the mirror to view himself. Sunny still didn't gain that many clothes when he moved in, so his most formal wear is his classic white shirt with a black vest, along with tan shorts and ankle socks. He always wore this by default back in Faraway, as he hadn't seen the point in changing clothes anyway back then. It's a miracle it's still fits.
"Looking good as always little bro!" Mari commented, drifting to his side, her head back on her blue-tinted body.
"Same to you," Sunny said back, referring to her outfit which was similar in style to her dream counterpart (though that was still her.)
Mari gave a quick smile as she then left the room. Sunny followed her out of his bedroom door and into the living room, where his gaze went to the family couch. There, a small, brown-haired child with a striped sweater sits playing a game of Pet Rocks. Next to them, is another Pet Rocks system, hovering above a indented couch pillow. However, to a more observant eye (or in this case an eye with a recently added ghost detection system) would see a similarly built child, one with darkened eyes and an ominous red aura.
"What are you two doing here?" Sunny asked passing by the two children.
" *I recall Sunny's agreement for us to borrow his and Mari's Pet Rocks systems, so we decided to play a quick round," Frisk stated, not looking away from Sunny's beloved Jash fighting what looks to be a tentacle creature.
"You Suzukis hold the only remnents of the classic Pet Rocks series here in Monstertown," Chara added, "Treating them like actual rocks would be a disgrace to the franchise."
"Uh-huh," Sunny replied slowly, "and the taller one?"
" *Raiding your fridge," Frisk answered nonchalantly, as sounds of digging through food could be heard almost on que.
Sunny rolls his eyes, "Then what's for breakfasts then?" he wondered.
"Something special from a special someone~" Sunny's Mom replied, washing dishes with Mari next to her. Sunny sat down at the dining table, being greeted by a simple yet perfect egg on toasted bread.
"Ta-da!" Sunny was greeted again by a taller, chipper girl with braids along her back, smirking with a not-at-all rare expression coming from her face. "Sunny-side egg on toast, made by yours two-ly!" She proclaimed, pulling closer to her another, familiar face, with washed out pink hair and black bashful eyes.
"H-hey! Don't do that without warning!" Aubrey dejected, pushing away Madotsuki still with a wide smile.
Sunny's old friend from Faraway recently moved in next dorm via convenient goat mom adoption (not really). It's only been a week since she came, but she's adapting well considering walking skeletons and buff fish women is now a common sight for her.
"It- it was just eggs and toast, anyone could make that," Aubrey objected, turning her head away from Sunny and her recently obtained roommate.
"Oh, uh, thanks," Sunny said with his most enthusiastic tone, trying to hide from Aubrey the fact that last night, Madotsuki, with her special ability to step into others' dreams, went to Sunny's Whitespace (what's left of it) for a final school prep session, somehow doing it exclusively with eggs and loafs of bread. Madotsuki's teasing sneer hit Sunny's knowing face as it went over Aubrey's head.
"Hey come on, I had to treat you for last night, you deserve something after 'literally' imagining algebra." Madotsuki joked. Sunny accepted the overall kind gesture, taking a bite of his toast.
"Heh, probably should've joined in that too," Aubrey added, "It's kinda my first day back to school in a long time too, with the whole stopped being a gang leader thing."
"Hey, don't be like that roomie," Madotsuki replied, "I'm sure the two of you will fit right in!"
"Oh?" Aubrey questioned, "How many other mean girls happen to be in happy ol' Monstertown?"
">You'd be surprised."
Everyone in the room turned their heads towards the messy-haired human standing out from the door to the kitchen, with crumbs sprinkled around their mouth.
Mari spoke up, "Well hope you've filled your appetite Kr-"
Mari paused for a moment, before continuing, " I'm- sorry, who is it right now?"
The human seemingly took a moment to ponder on the question, walking towards to exit door almost robotically, before stating,
">Player can only choose options from what I want to say."
">So please, just use Kris."
"Ah, sorry Kris," Mari apologized, "You two have a safe trip!"
Kris stayed silent as they ended the conversation by walking out the door.
"Welp, guess that's our que," Madostuki said, standing up from her seat. "Let's get moving!"
Madostuki then left for the door too, followed by Aubrey, then by Frisk running pass Sunny. Sunny quickly finished his breakfast, stood up with his bag, and took one quick breath, readying himself for the walk to school.
"Good luck Sunny! And remember," Mari cheered, forming a heart with her hands with her mother mirroring her.
"We're proud of you!"
Sunny shun a warm smile across them.
"'Thanks Mom, Mari. See you soon."
And so, Sunny went out the door, into the elevator with his waiting friends, down the building and out the complex. Sunny marched towards his new school with the others in tow, preparing for what new challenges life will throw at him this time.

WHAT IS RIGHT NOW
I have weird tastes.
A Land of Dreams.
Happy 30th, Puffball.
This isn’t my type of post but Net Neutrality is so important.
Forget your page’s aesthetic, share this with everyone you know. Without Net Neutrality, the internet itself would change.
Companies would be able to charge websites if they want them to load faster than others on your computer. This means that they would purposefully bottleneck speeds on every website that doesn’t have the funding to pay for it faster speed. There’s NO reason for this. Are you a small business with a website and can’t afford to pay enough to get faster speeds? Too bad. Are you someone with a personal blog? Slow page loading. Do you want to view a website written by a nonprofit organization for your school project? You’ll have to wait until the page loads because, since they’re nonprofit, they can’t afford to pay enough to cable companies so that their page loads faster.
An alternative to this would be having to pay for faster internet. Internet service should be priced by usage, not speed. For home internet, unlimited use isn’t all that expensive so it’s really common. You wouldn’t want to pay extra for more speed.
This would possibly affect the way that the internet works on other devices such as your phone, gaming system, laptop, tablet, etc.
We NEED Net Neutrality.
If a company doesn’t agree with a specific website, they could purposefully limit traffic to their site. This would be censorship, something that nobody likes.
There are many other reason as to why you should protect Net Neutrality.
This is an issue whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, Left-wing, Right-wing, young, old, male, female, rich, poor, etc.
EVERYONE SHOULD ADVOCATE FOR NET NEUTRALITY.

The shadow of a large building cloaks two figures gazing upon it.
"So this is school?" said the paler of the two.
">Yes," said the messier haired of the pair.
"...You wanna bail?"
"You'll have to carry me, I can't walk on my own."
Just as Sunny was gonna make a move, any plans of escape broke when a black-pink haired girl tugged on the back of his vest, pulling him closer to the entrance, all the while Kris jerkingly walked in the same direction.
"Yeah ya ain't getting away that easily," spoke Aubrey as she dragged Sunny up the stairs.
"Cheer up Suns!" Madotsuki assured Sunny, tailing behind, "This is one of the good schools, right Kris?"
">I love and appreciate you," Kris responded through their teeth, wearing the expression one would make when woken up with a penny's worth of energy.
"*I tell my friends farewell for now," Frisk waved to them, turning at the steps to another entrance of the school.
Inside the large building, the hallway was filled with monsters of many shapes and sizes. Sprinkled throughout were the few human kids that could be found in the town.
As the group reached a crosspath, Kris did a sharp turn away from the other three and marched to their classroom.
"Oh, uh, bye," Sunny said quietly as he and the rest walked further foward, eventually stopping at the door of his and Aubrey's class. Madotsuki made her own farewell as she made her way to the door further left.
"You feeling okay for this, Sunny?" Aubrey asked her old friend.
Sunny responded with a quick nod. After a pause, Sunny reached out and opened the door.

"And that's I'm still considered 12 despite being 106," Chara ended their story as they tuned their guitar.
"I guess I'm glad I was awake for my 4 years, otherwise it might've been awkward for me and Hero to get together again!" Mari almost cheekily responded, stretching her semi-existent fingers with piano keys below them.
"Mari sweetie, can you come here for a second?" Mari's mother spoke from across the kitchen.
"Coming Mom!" affirmed Mari as she floated through the portable keyboard and into the kitchen.
"I'm gonna be away for tonight," Ms. Suzuki explained to her daughter, "I have to check in on the state of your piano."
Mari's eyes widened in excitement, "Oh yay! Can I come with? I wanted to see it again so bad and I finally can actually play it even thought I had a dream version of it-"
"Okay okay," Ms. Suzuki chuckled, "but what about Sunny? He might have some first day project or something."
"He could stay in Mado and Aubrey's dorm for tonight," suggested Mari.
"Oh dear," said Ms. Suzuki snarkingly, "leaving Sunny for even a second? That's unlike you dear!"
"What can I say," Mari bashfully responded "I think he's ready to take care of himself now."
- - -
"Aubrey how do you do group projects again I'm scared."
"Quit worrying Sunny," Aubrey assurred her friend. "Look, we just gotta do whatever it says on this paper... thing," she refers to the assignment brief in her hand. "Let's just go home and we'll figure it then."
"I need to go the the bathroom." Sunny shyly admitted.
"Fine, make it quick."
Sunny rushed out the classroom door and into the hall, figuring out the way to the bathrooms with the signs on the ceiling. As he turns and jogged to his destination, he could hear a distant conversation at the end of the hall.
"Kris, if you could bring her by later... that would mean a lot to me...!" A soft voice whispered.
"Wonder what's that about..." Sunny thought.
