thinkin about Astarion's eye color prior to being turned and everyone has the wrong idea. His eyes were blue. ik people have said "oh he has blue eyes" before but hold on

blue like "get brown contacts. NOW" blue. and Astarion refused to get brown contacts. so the universe turned him into a vampire

so i was originally gonna make a post about how i was reading the pda entry for the eyeye and how it says that the Alpha Peeper may have been the first thing on 4546B to evolve eyes and how "oh eyes are really complex structures so theres no way they evolved more than once. i mean warm-bloodedness only evolved like twice in mammals and birds so the Alpha Peeper could be the LUCA of 4546B" but then I google it to make sure.

gang. the LOWEST estimate I found was that eyes evolved 8 times independently of eachother. the HIGHEST was something like 1600?????? so thats what this post is about now theres so many different times eyes evolved holy shit
