so i bought myself Tavern Talk for my birthday and I just got to (no clue what day) when Fable say's they'll always come back to the inn and i just had the mental image of a bartender at one of these taverns who befriends a party of adventurers and then after years and years they suddenly disappear and are found dead and then they realize why all the other bartenders seem so distant from everyone so thats FUN

this book is making me realize that maybe adult fantasy isnt bad its just most adult fantasy has super shitty pacing because this is BAM BAM BAM THINGS STUFF HAPPENS WOOOO and most adult fantasy is super slow and boring
