Oscar de la Renta
You are his partner in crime, his lovely lady.
Muggle or not it doesn’t matter he brings you on his travels and shows you amazing things.
He teaches you all about the beasts in his care, introducing you to all of them.
His favorite sound in the whole wide world is your laughter, it reminds him of the warmth that summer brings.
Cuddles are a must, especially when the weather is cold or wet outside.
He encourages you to pursue your hobbies, sometimes he even does them with you.
The both of you dedicate a night every week to just relaxing together, a favorite dish for dinner, a nice hot bubble bath and comforting words throughout the night.
When the winter chill starts to seep into the air, be ready for layers upon layers of blankets to keep the both of you warm.
If you ever get sick, be ready for no alone time ever. He’s going to keep taking care of you after you get better no matter how hard you protest. It usually stops a week and a half after you get better.
He gets clingy after a long busy day working. He will not leave your side once he steps foot into the house.
He hates to see you up late so he coaxes you to bed early but Newt is such a hypocrite because he stays up late himself. He tends to slip under the covers an hour after you're in bed because he feels guilty that he's not with you.
My absolute favorite portrayal of a father and daughter. In this one scene, I have the privilege of seeing a reflection of me and my own dad which never fails to bring tears to my eyes.
Thank you, Mr Sutherland
It was strange to touch each other without one of them dying, but maybe touch was also something for the living.
Like magnets they moved together, pressing into each other's warmth.
There always needed to be a reason, an excuse for their bodies to touch.
Being touch-starved and needy was really starting to mess with their reputation as a tough guy.
It was like their skin was calling out for the other's gentle touch.
They didn't like to be touched by just anyone. But that didn't mean they didn't also crave it sometimes.
A coldness took over their body that only the warmth of another person could erase.
They wanted to be touched, to be missed, to be loved. Was that too much to ask for?
Leaning onto each other, just being close, was enough.
Their bodies fitting together like they always were intended to become one.
While I absolutely love the 1995 Pride and Prejudice adaptation, the 2005 version has some of my favorite filmmaking and cinematography.
The dance scenes are energetic, the camera constantly moving, following and showing out main characters but also makes the audience feel like they are there as well. The closeness of the camera, the large amount of people in an enclosed space really sets the atmosphere.
And in contrast, whenever the rich are shown on screen (Lady Catherine de Bourg's place) the people and camera are still, the blocking like that of a painting.
The way the sisters are shot makes them really feel like family. They are constantly close to each other, literally in each other's business.
The look these two give each other when they are finally on the same page and getting engaged. Shy, excited, in love.
The change in camera angles on Darcy as Lizzie and Darcy become closer. First the camera tilts up slightly when they are juxtaposed, but then at a straight angle when they are more equal in their feelings.
Tracking shots! So many beautiful tracking shots.
Mr. Darcy making it up to Bingley by acting as Jane while Bingley nervously practices proposing.
And of course the hands! Nothing more romantic than this.
The closeness to the book is great in the 1995 adaptation and I would be remiss not to include this gif in any post about Pride and Prejudice.
Barbie’s wardrobe being full of Chanel just seems right 💖
