"I want to know more about Penelope's past, before the Black Baron. Would she be an orphan, or would her Dutch mouse parents still be around? Would they be supportive of their little girl genius, or worried sick?"

So, since Murray calls Penelope "Sis", Does that technically make her and Jing sisters?
I'm not planning on shipping Murray and Jing.
It's not off the table... I just haven't planned anything for them yet.
First time drawing Penelope and it didn’t suck as much as I thought WOOHOO
So the first matter of business after discovering the return of Clockwerk is to find Penelope so they track her down to where the last photo was taken and whoops haha turns out Clockwerk is not a fan of paparazzi
But hey eventually all the wounds get treated and despite a huge amount of tension they all start to fall into a sort of comfort zone with each other and you could almost pretend she never left
(Bentley is still reluctant to talk with her but hey it’s understandble let’s focus on retrieving Sly and THEN we can try and salvage the relationship)
ps her eye isn’t gone the skin and lid around it are just really badly hurt so she wears a patch for awhile also senor shitbird ripped out her earring so she pierced the other one and has a cooper cane earring cuuuuuute
Penelope- One last Glance by Moon-Shyne
Just another scene that I believe took place behind the scenes during the China level of Sly 3. Yep. These two are still my BFF-OTP
“Perhaps my favorite character development over the course of the Sly Cooper games was how Bentley went from a stuttering, fragile nerd to a devious, bomb-toting mad genius. His probably has the biggest ego of anyone on the team, and I love him to bits for it!“

Props to Bentley for driving from all the way from the jungles of the Bengal region of India to Prague in Sly 2, that is an insane drive. That is crossing through 8 countries, 4 time-zones, two continents and over 8,500 km. Non-stop, it would’ve taken him almost 5 days.
And he did that all without knowing at first how to drive stick.
Like look at how far that is. I know that’s only up to Lahore but I couldn’t get a drive route that’d go into India and I assume that has to due with the nature of driving through the Indian-Pakistani border. That’s also passing through some rugged terrain and some unforgiving weather conditions too.
This was a quickie comic I did in about 15 minutes (that’s why the panels are uneven) This scene is something I imagine would have happened in Sly 4 if it hadn’t been written by people who suck at character writing (specifically FEMALE character writing).
One of my favorite moments in Sly 2 is the first time you go over the Contessa’s bridge.
You’re Bentley, completely alone. You have to make it to the first mission where Bentley eavesdrops on the Contessa. You struggle through the terrifying area outside the safehouse, which is swarming with guards, and then….
And then you get to an empty bridge.
The only way to get to the mission is by going over this completely empty bridge.
There are no guards. Those statues are unsettling, but everything here looks unsettling, so it’s fine. You feel like you’re finally in the clear.
So you start carefully walking across the bridge…. and THEN
HOLY SHIT THEY cOME TO LIFE????? RUN!
A TANK??? THERE’S A TANK TOO??? DON’T RUN THAT WAY
RUN UP THE RAMP WAIT THERE’S FLOOR-SPIKES???? AVOID THE FLOOR SPIKES
A big part of why I like Jailbreak is because the level hub is designed to give you these fun moments of “cartoon horror” that make you really get what the little characters are feeling.
Wow I can’t believe Bentley Slycooper invented character development
I just felt like drawing these guys as a cute BFF trio (again)
