(Ch 2.)
Chapter 2.
Jinx woke up before Ekko the next morning and after realizing they’d spent the night in each other’s arms she scrambled to her feet. She attempted to brush off the feeling of warmth that lingered in her chest. She told herself it was just her imagination, that she didn't actually feel anything for Ekko. But as she went about her day, she couldn't shake the sensation that something had shifted between them.
She found herself glancing at Ekko, wondering what he was thinking, and feeling a pang of irritation when he caught her eye and smiled.
"Hey, Jinx! What's up?" Vi asked, as Jinx walked into the cafeteria, Vi was making breakfast, her hair tied up in a makeshift ponytail and a spatula in her hand.
"Not much, Vi," Jinx replied, trying to sound nonchalant. "Just getting some breakfast."
Vi raised an eyebrow. "You're not still mad at Ekko, are you? I thought you two were getting along fine…"
Jinx scowled. "I'm not mad at him, I just... don't know what to make of him, okay?"
Vi chuckled and smirked, "Well, Ekko's a bit silly, but he's all right once you get to know him. And he's definitely got a thing for you, Jinx."
Jinx’s face went red, “Shut up Vi! No he does not. I can’t believe you said that out loud, gosh.”

Vi walked away into the kitchenette to put away the ingredients, “C’mon, we’re sisters, I have every right. You know, Jinx, it’s doesn’t hurt to try.”
“Try what?”
Jinx rolled her eyes as Vi trotted back to her side, “starting the fire.”
Jinx looked at her with disbelief, “What are you saying? You sound like one of those cringy characters in the shows Caitlyn likes to watch..ugh.”
Vi just winked and handed Jinx her breakfast, “I’ll chat it up with the boy saviour after my lunch duty, okay?”
Jinx stuck her tongue out. “No need.”
A/N: next chapter is gonna be juicy.

A Rose’s Thorns
(Ch. 2) (MDNI)
Chapter 2
It was a challenge, a game. But something about the way she held herself..defiant yet… vulnerable, made it feel less like a game and more like a battle for something far deeper than either of them were willing to admit.
Her lips parted, eyes smoldering with unspoken words. “You think you can just hold me down like this, Ekko?” she purred, voice dripping with a mix of confidence and something darker.
Ekko’s breath caught. He tightened his grip on her wrists, his pulse quickening as he fought the primal urge to let go and give in. “You think I’m afraid of you?” he growled, his voice rough, raw with need.
Powder tilted her head, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. She leaned forward, brushing her lips lightly against his ear, sending a shiver down his spine. “Afraid? No. You’re just scared to lose. You’ve never had to admit it, but you’re terrified of what happens when you lose control.”
Ekko’s hands trembled slightly as they gripped her tighter. She was right. Damn her for being right. Every part of him wanted to push her away, to reclaim the space he so carefully controlled. But Jinx… No… Powder was different. She wasn’t just an explosion of chaos and laughter; she had a way of breaking him down, bit by bit, until all that was left was need.
“Control?” Ekko repeated, his lips brushing against her neck. “You really think you’re in control here?”
Her eyes darkened, and she pushed her hips against his, letting him feel just how much she was enjoying this moment. She moved with such fluidity, such confidence, as if she knew every inch of his body. Which was, surprisingly…hot???
“Don’t fool yourself,” she whispered, her voice a challenge as she ground herself against him. “You’re a sweet little guy…”
Something inside Ekko snapped. Without thinking, his grip on her wrists loosened, his hands now sliding down to her waist. He pulled her closer, crushing her against him with an intensity that almost knocked the breath out of her. Powder gasped, but it was a sound of pleasure, not surprise. The fire between them, the unspoken promise of what they were on the verge of, burned brighter than ever.
“You want to lose control,” Ekko murmured, his lips brushing against her lips before claiming them in a kiss that was harder, deeper. He didn’t wait for her to respond; he didn’t have to. This wasn’t a battle anymore. It was a dance, a dangerous, reckless dance that neither of them wanted to stop.
*•~*•.•*~•*
Powder’s hands slid down to his chest, nails digging into the fabric of his jacket, and she pulled him even closer. Her body moved against his with a ferocity that made his breath hitch, his pulse thundering in his ears. She was wild, untamed, but there was a tenderness buried beneath it all that only Ekko could see. And it was that tenderness that kept him coming back, despite the chaos, despite the unpredictability.
He broke the kiss, both of them panting for air, and looked at her, eyes searching for some sign of hesitation. There was none. Powder’s gaze was just as hungry, just as desperate as his own. She wanted this. She needed this. And deep down, Ekko knew he did too.
“Tell me what you want,” he whispered, his breath hot against her lips. Powder’s fingers moved to the back of his neck, tugging him closer again. “You think I haven’t already shown you?” she teased, voice low and dangerous. “You’re not the one in charge here, Ekko. Not anymore.”
The challenge in her voice was enough to push him to the edge. Without warning, Ekko spun them around, pinning her back against the pile of scrap metal, his hands now free to roam. The action took powder by surprise, but she didn’t fight it. Instead, she leaned into it, urging him to take more, to push her further.
She bit her lip, her eyes filled with that same dangerous spark that made Ekko want to both pull away and dive deeper. “You really think you can keep up?” she whispered, voice dripping with challenge. His response came in the form of a kiss that was fierce, almost bruising. He kissed her like he was claiming her, like he was staking his territory. There was no tenderness now. Only heat. Only the need to feel everything, to lose himself in her completely. Powder’s breath caught in her throat, and she responded with equal intensity, hands moving to the hem of his shirt, tugging it up. She was quick, desperate, her fingers shaking slightly, but her determination never wavered. Every touch, every movement, every swish of their tongues sent waves of desire through both of them. Ekko’s heart was pounding in his chest, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he fought to keep himself in control. But in this moment, it felt like control was an illusion and Powder was taking him on a ride he couldn’t get off, not that he wanted to anyways.

-Side to side- Chp.-1
The sun was shining in the Remuna Region. The morning air was filled with the sweet smell of flowers and the sweet chirps of the starlies. The meadow was covered in dewdrops that could be seen for miles. Maria was waiting for her friend Zeal to get ready. They were going to start their Pokémon journey together. Her motto was that it´s never too late to start something
Maria stood outside Zeal's house, looking at her watch. They were supposed to leave at dawn. She was getting impatient. She took a deep breath, went inside, and shouted "WAKE UPPPP!", Zeal fell out of bed and stumbled out of his room. He was sleepy and his hair was messy.
Zeal's mom came into the room with a smile. "Good morning! I see you're finally up. Comal likes to sleep in." She laughed. Zeal started packing everything with Maria’s help . Zeal's mom reminded him to be safe and take care of himself.
Before they could go Zeal’s Mom hugged them both. "Take care of Zeal, okay? I know I can trust him with you. Have a great journey and call me often!" She gave them extra money for food and said goodbye. As they walked away, Zeal turned to Maria and grinned. "Ready to start our adventure and have some fun?" Maria's eyes sparkled with excitement. She nodded and they set off on their journey- to the bus stop, that is.
They trotted down the street into the town square to catch the bus to the Vilkrin city where they would be greeted by Professor Zander, the professor of the region. As they boarded the bus Zeal looked back to the place he´d called home for 16 years, he would miss it, but he had Maria by his side and soon his new Pokémon partner.
The journey was long but they were able to see many wild Pokémon such as Rapidash, starly, starraptor, zebstrika; they were even able to see a Braivary when they arrived at Vilkrin City!!
They were amazed they’d never been there before; it was full of Pokémon and people. Some Pokémon were helping with construction while others were working in coffee shops, and some were even helping to keep the city clean, “this is amazing”
“I know I can’t wait to get my partner I just hope the professor still has some Pokémon with him”
“We better hurry then”, as Zeal said that they began sprinting, hoping to get there before all starters were taken; when they finally got there, professor Zander welcomed them, “ooh hello there are you here for a starter I suppose” “Yes, we know the starter distribution was earlier but someone was toooooooo comfyyy” “Hey!!” “-on their bed that we arrived late” “well there’s still a Tepig” “I’ll takeee itttt” “ hehe you know? You were lucky none of the trainers wanted him, he’s really shy, but brave and noble, I saw him the other day fighting against a cubone, and let me tell you, I don’t think the cubone will show his face around here ever again….sadly he’s the only one I have left, so here, take a pokeball, maybe your partner can help you catch one on the other side of the city…. or something like that.”
“I hope so”
“Oh c’mon don’t get all sad I’m pretty sure we’ll get you a cool one” Maria reassured Zeal as they waved goodbye to the professor and headed straight for the outskirts of the city.

The air was crisp in Zaun; nothing new, but it was nice. Jinx has on the jacket Caitlyn had knitted for her over the holidays, it was, very, very uncomfortable to wear. However, she wasn’t planning on telling Vi that any time soon. She wanted to live.
For the first time in a few years she had nothing to do… it was weird. Nice at first, but now it was just, boring to say the least. She could only work on projects in the shop for so long. She didn’t frequent shops, at least not in Zaun. She didn’t really hang out with people down there either. Not saying she did with folks in Piltover, but at least they were somewhat entertaining to watch. From a distance, of course.
“Fuck outta my way.”
A man sputtered as he pushed Jinx into the side of a building, knocking over the sign that was badly nailed to the doorframe.
“H-hey!! what was that for???”
Jinx grounded herself as she picked up the sign she had, unfortunately, knocked down. Huh.. Firefly sweets?? What kind of idiot names their business after.. anyways..
Jinx laughed and knocked on the door. No one answered so she peered into the glass, her eyes squinted. Nothing? Aside from the glass display case, it was empty.
“Uh Okay!! I’m just gonna leave this here!! Sorry!!”
As she put the sign on the doormat she noticed a scuff mark. Shit. It must have rubbed off of her hands. Jinx’s work was dirty, it was messy and she had no reason to wash it off because she was planning on returning home to finish off some side-projects.
Now that she’d done that she figured she might as well take it back to the shop and polish it up, clean the scuff marks… maybe. Whoever made it wasn’t thinking straight, I mean, who uses screws when you could just use liquid concrete??
She rolled her eyes and snatched it back; it’s not like she was being overly nice, it’s just painful to see such a butchered job. Maybe she’d offer whoever did it welding lessons.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Ekko ran up to his business; it was his first stock day, which would give him everything necessary to open up. Was it a stretch?? Maybe. But hey, It’ll pay off, he just knew it. Wait a second…
Ekko Gasped; did someone rob him?? He wasn’t even open and someone had taken the sign off the front door. Great. Now what will he do?? Opening day is tomorrow and I don’t even have a sign….
All he could do is hope whoever stole it would give it back, but in Zaun his chances were slim.
