Not Sure If This Is Good Tweening

disagree with some of this but respect opinion don't think the tone has changed that much even with more of a story here

Not my usual stuff but I wanna get this out of my system. (Nothing deep or triggering really, just me venting about how a series I liked -the animated webcomic Chikn Nuggit- may be shooting itself in the foot)

Alright let's go

I fucking hate the new lore they're adding and think it's only been a detriment to the series as a whole.

I was a bit iffy on Bezel when he first showed up but I could live with him because I mean come on, it's Kellen Goff. Man could make any character a delight to watch in action.

And for a while it was fine, sure he stuck out like a sore thumb but he was fun all the same...

Then they did the dumbass reveal that Chikn was a God of some sort

Okay, that's weird but I guess they did hint at a little cosmology with Iscream and Fwench Fwy, and I don't hate an explanation for cartoon logic on paper. To be honest, the dynamic of the two gaymers trying to stop Chikn from peeling reality like a cheese string sounds funny.

And then comes the part where Bezel starts talking about the lore... And Chikn talks about his lore... And oh my god what are you doing Kyra Kupestky stop it please oh no...

You see, I don't hate the premise itself even if it seems kinda weird, but what I do hate is how it's meddling with the tone of the comic. They still upload regular fun episodes of course but every time there's a lore episode it feels like a rock in the shoe of an otherwise simple, fun relatable humour focused webseries about animals named after food bein friends.

If Kyra really wanted to make something like this then she should have either A) Established earlier on in the series that this was what the show was gonna be like or B) Make a different show with that new mood. Combining the two ideas and doing it over a year into the series' lifespan was just an abysmal idea and it's almost completely turned me off from the show.

I get wanting to have an overarching story in your comic, don't get me wrong, but if they were to do that then I would rather they have smaller slice of life plots like Chee dating Kofi and Hawt Saus learning to be a better person. They have good things to work with but instead they go for the amnesiac supervillain/evil deity story that quite literally came out of nowhere?

Hey, I mean this in the kindest way possible cause I don’t think it’s intentional, but please stop putting stuff like that in shipping tags. In general it’s good etiquette (and good for your inbox and replies) to not tag a ship you’re discussing negatively. Some even censor the ship name to completely keep it out of search.

I wanna add that those topics are serious and should be treated with more care and definitely not used to compare unrelated ships to.

Look man I have nothing against these ships, and you but I only put them tags in because I'm talking about them. And it's really weird that your trying to censor what I can or cannot do, when it's not hurting anyone

At bad drawing characters older, always thought in the show it was weird when fiddleford didn't change his clothes after society of the blind eye, thought he just worn the clothes because he went crazy

Man to all artists out there, you don't have to draw every day. I remember when I drew every day, it was painful and I always made myself feel terrible about my drawings. I was slowly getting better but when I didn't draw every day, I got better at drawing faster. The moral of the story try not to beat yourself up, I it will happen matter what, but all you can do is try.÷>
