for anyone mildly curious about my writing, here's a bit of a concept for one of my main characters.

"How do I come to terms with death when I have the power to undo it? How can you tell a grieving child that they shouldn't try to save their last friend when they have that capability?"

introducing the necromancer who isn't necessarily afraid of death, but more incapable of coping with it.

hear me out. if you're a powerful necromancer, you're not going to be okay with the people you care about just dying when you can undo it. and even after death, when you can talk to their ghost, you're not really coping with the fact that they're physically gone. you can be okay with death as a concept, but as something that takes people away from you? mental breakdown
