Danny, De Aged To Like 4 And Wondering Around The Alleys Of Gotham After Running Away From His Home Dimension

Danny uses this to his advantage by making his human form look like a meta so that he would be protected by the Meta-human rights act (or wtv its called I can't remember). Which works splendidly actually. He just gave himself the tail, the horns, teeth, eyes and a few scales here and there and wouldn't cha know it works splendidly.

The GIW trying to call him a ghost? Nah, he's just a meta dude. Wes trying to pin him as Phantom? Does Phantom have horns and a tail? No? Yea he thought so.

Then Vlad takes a look at Danny and goes: "Oh shit that's actually a surprisingly good idea." And then just copies him without asking basically. Would people question this? Shhh, no they won't (hands you a slip of money), why would they question anything?

The bats would question it. Obviously. Because of course they would, why wouldn't they, sticking their noses into everything. Why are they investigating? Because they were invited to a Gala held by Vlad Masters and Danny had to attend, both of which they knew didn't have any meta features with a quick background check so they think something fishy is going on there.

Then the GIW raid the place like a bunch of idiots because they think Vlad and Danny are obviously ghosts (they're only half right because Halfa you know lawl) and they need to be taken into the government's custody. Except for the fact that they're doing this in a room full of rich people, with the Wayne Family in attendance, and people who do business with Vlad.

So.

You know.

Vlad is talking so calmly and rationally and acting like this is expected, which leads everyone present to believe this to be such a common occurrence that he can't even be surprised at this anymore. Which leads to even more suspicion.

Where is Danny through all of this? He's not doing much actually since he was outside playing with Cujo, since he only had to be there for a bit and then free to do whatever he wanted after that. Funnily enough, a few GIW agents are also trying to take him and Cujo into custody with none other than Damian Wayne at his side.

Damian was just concerned about Cujo and wanted to make sure nothing was going on there. Didn't really expect this.

Danny is dating a hero, and he's been keeping the whole "Phantom" thing under wraps.

After all, he's retired. Amity is under control. There's no real reason for "Phantom" to make an appearance, and it's not like Danny wanted to be a hero in the first place.

But his hero, naturally, has a villain, and one day that villain grabs Danny and the hero both.

The hero is in a glass box made of just the right stuff to contain them. Probably not like, forever, but long enough for the villain to dramatically murder Danny right in front of them.

He...really doesn't want Phantom to have to make an appearance.

But the cards are down, there's no one else coming, and Danny decides to compromise.

No one outside of Amity knows about Phantom. He is, after all, the American Governments biggest embarrassment; they believed pseudo science and declared an entirely separate species to be ghosts, of all things.

So they keep a tight lid on all things Phantom related.

While Danny may have been able to...finagle his own scientific papers a bit, to make ghosts seem to be aliens from another dimension and get those Anti-Ecto laws taken down, he is actually half ghosts.

And ghosts don't have actual physical forms.

So he decides to be dramatic.

"If I have to, I'll become a monster. For them."

With that, he Goes Ghost, taking care to make sure his form is far more monstrous than human.

The villain never stands a chance.

On the other side of things, his hero lover is convinced they just watched Danny sacrifice his humanity to save them.

bruce who thinks tim is his one good honest and reliable child and his best friend superman who knows full well that tim is full of shit but bruce will not hear a bad word against him and it drives him INSANE

clark watches tim lie through his fucking teeth about a mission that clark was THERE for and he can’t even hear his heart miss a beat. tim grins at him behind bruce’s back and it’s at this point that clark realises that tim can straight up control his heartbeat to the point that not even superman can tell. he usually just doesn’t bother because he knows bruce wont listen to a word clark says anyway so who gives a fuck.

clark is terrified of this child. jon befriends damian and the JLA are confused as to why he’s not even a little worried about his kid hanging out with the scary sword kid but he’s just so relieved bcs next to tim this is nothing.

then kon comes home to introduce his boyfriend and clark’s stood there like. FUCK NO PLEASE GOD

after Jason reveals his identity as the Red Hood i like to think about the kids begging for Jason to hang out with them and rejoin the family and that but Jason’s being a little bitch about it so when Dick asks for his phone number he just throws an ouija board at him and says ‘i’ll sense it’

issue is that while slightly drunk and sad that his brother hates him, Dick decided to try it out, and Damian watching him through a crack in the door thought it would be funny to text Jason (because he actually does have his league bro’s number) about it so that Jason could maybe mention it the next time they see each other on patrol to freak Dick out, except Jason was working not too far from the manor at the time and he thought it would be even funnier to swing by, slam up against the window and scream through the glass ‘STOP FUCKING DRUNK TEXTING ME’ and absolutely scares the shit out of Dick. so now Dick thinks that ouija boards actually work on Jason because he’s still part ghost and Jason and Damian are scrambling to try and keep up the ruse because of how funny it is.

ITS GREAT LAKES AWARENESS DAY!!!!!

On this excellent day, be aware that this is the largest group of freshwater lakes in the world, covering over 95,000 square miles and reaching depths of over a thousand feet. They are beautiful freshwater seas.

You already know Danny absolutely takes every chance he can to embarrass Vlad. Every single one.

They’re attending a Gala and Danny does everything in his power to ensure everybody thinks they’re vampires. Hisses at people, loudly talks about 1800’s events as if he were there, and recoils when he sees a woman’s cross necklace. Everything he can to perpetuate rumors. Vlad is exasperated. His name and pale skin, along with the fact nobody in high society has ever seen him in the day, does not help this rumor.

They’re visiting metropolis to take a tour of LexCorp because Vlad has to sign some type of business agreement. Danny is there because Maddie thought it would be nice for him to get out of Amity every once in a while. The business agreement is out the window the moment Danny walks in the room and loudly proclaims, “oh! So you’re the ‘bald idiot’ my godfather keeps mentioning.”

Vlad knows no peace, even in amity park. He has to give a speech as its mayor? Danny is either in the crowd, asking him the stupidest questions, or he’s trying to convince the town, as phantom, that Vlad was his killer when he was alive.

Just everything he can to make this man’s life more difficult.
