the “what about me” problem people have didn’t start with the internet, it started with our parents telling us to think of the kids who didn’t have what we have whenever we had a problem with anything ever

you don’t wanna eat this? what about me who spent all my time slaving away at the stove? what about those poor kids in africa who don’t have food to eat? what about kids whose parents don’t love them enough to cook for them? you should be more grateful

you know even if a homeless person or a starving person is in that position because of their own "bad decisions" i don't care. it doesn't matter. no supposed financial misstep is enough to condemn someone to homelessness or poverty.
