I just thought about what you would do. It’s like you always say: if we stick together, nothing can hurt us.

GILMORE GIRLS REWATCH ↳ “Say Goodnight, Gracie” (3x20)
her eyebrows rose at his quip, taking a deep inhale, trying to stuff away her annoyance. josie had met eli before, her family became much bigger after her mother married klaus. something that she found helpful after the merge. losing such a huge part of her, still never healed but having so many people around that cared, helped her on the darker days. rolling her eyes she looked up to eli and then back at the papers. "yeah well there's a first time for everything." once grabbing the last piece, she managed to shuffle them back into place before getting up from her knees.
"you know for being so tall and strong, you could've put that to use with the cleanup." brushing her legs, she placed a hand on her hip. josie was exhausted so that made her tempers flare, but eli hadn't really done anything wrong. it wasn't his fault he was built like a quarterback, sighing she smiled softly. "sorry, i uhh haven't really slept well so any minor inconvenience has just made me grumpy."
Eli had felt the same shift as other had commented on. It felt like something big and insidious lurking in corners, but no one had any idea what. As he made his way through town, he saw the female and smirked to himself. Of course Eli had the arrogance not just of that of a mikaelson but also from his father and that gave him an unruly confidence. As he approached his cousins friend, he was soon colliding into her as she came crashing into her body.
He had stopped just before her but not seeing him had caused his larger frame to knock her back and her paperwork fall to the ground. He looked down to it before moving his hues upwards towards the other for a moment as she spoke. "Well that's not exactly the greeting I was expecting...I don't usually hit girls off their feet... although seeing them at my feet isn't that uncommon.." he remarked.
with all gabi's being, she hoped that kaya wouldn't call her an overbearing mother, but being a demon meant the dangers of the world were much bigger. those monsters you tell your children not to worry about, for the lockwood family they were very real. yet, tyler and gabriela did their best to raise their kids not afraid of those monsters, instead to look it in the eye and bear their teeth. with the news of the recent murders, it was hard not to double check on the people the demon held close.
kaya sat in her favorite spot, legs folded with no care for anything other than the notepad on her lap. there was something wrong though, her tense shoulders matched her frustrated face. unaware that they were staring so intensely, they shook their head and walked closer to their daughter. "sorry babygirl, i got caught up watching you in your element." when getting closer, gabi climbed up the stone and took a seat. glancing at the crumbled papers with red and black sketches strewn about, she furrowed her brows. "what's going on sweetheart?"

There was nothing Kaya enjoyed more than people watching at Fulton Street Square. She sat atop a stone ledge with one leg folded under her and the other dangling off, her sketchbook carefully balanced on her lap. With a tray of art supplies on the ledge next to her, she began to carefully work on a few thumbnails, trying to decide on the perfect composition for her next painting.
Again and again she drew the same, bloody bodies and ritualistic symbols. The news of recent supernatural death had plagued her mind, no matter how hard she tried to stop thinking about it. She tore the page out of her sketchbook, crumpled it, and tossed it onto the stone next to her, grumbling at herself.
She took a sip of the hot coffee to her right and settled back in again, sketching and sketching but still finding nothing other than blood. Just as she was finishing up the last thumbnail, the first one that looked even borderline promising, she felt a pair of eyes watching her from across the street. The brunette looked up from her book, "What's so interesting that you feel the need to stare?" she asked with a raised brow.
Got a bad feeling that I'm about to break Been a good streak, but the pressure's overweight Is it even good, for my head to keep track? If I'm gonna snap necks, then I gotta snap back

getting ready with her twin put the siphoner in a cheery mood, thanks to the mask she wouldn't need to explain, how the once sad josie was now all smiles. for three years, people would often describe her as a girl with a frown. her mouth always turned the wrong way. tonight, would be different, she'd allow herself to take in the excitement of elegance and music. after savoring a cosmopolitan, she made her way onto the dance floor. doing her best to take in the way it felt to actually let happiness in.
getting a little too lost in the sounds, she managed to bump into someone else. taking a step back, she tilted her head with a soft smile. "sorry, i forgot where i was for a moment."
What is your family’s biggest strength? (gabi)
"our love for each other, because it isn't superficial. all of us would much rather see one another thrive or be happy then anything else. we do our very best to become better people, instead of holding back for selfish reasons."

being a new vampire was never easy, the transition took a lot of willpower and determination. something that you're still learning to acquire in your twenties. so hayley had a feeling charlie wasn't handling it well, hearing stories of him spending nights drunk on the street. she wanted to stop him sooner, but also knew how she had been during her transition. it wouldn't matter what someone said, all you want to do is wallow, but she felt her son had done enough of that. her eyes followed the drink, as it passed from the bartender to his lips, the hybrids chest grew heavy. shaking her head softly, she turned to face her son. "no, that's not it. something else is wrong but i can't put my finger on it yet."
honestly none of it really mattered right now, all she cared about was charlie's mental health. "mind if i ask how many drinks you've had tonight?" her voice was soft and gentle, hoping he would understand that she wasn't trying to interrogate. hayley's goal wasn't to make him feel bad, instead to just get a tiny glimpse into what was going on in his mind.
Charlie shrugged his shoulders at the sound of his mother's voice behind him. Observing the lively crowd engaged in conversation and dancing to the music, he acknowledged that the sole reason for his presence was the allure of free alcohol. His mask proved to be a valuable shield, concealing his emotions as he seamlessly merged with the festive atmosphere. "People are having too much fun," he quietly mumbled while accepting a drink from the bartender. Aware that his response may not have been what his mother expected, he felt indifferent towards her opinion at that moment.
josie laughed softly at mavi's comment, it wasn't something she could relate to until tonight. for the past three years, the siphoner shut that part of her off. losing lizzie was far too much and because of it she lost all ability to love. but now that her twin was back from the dead and she stood watching couples as they danced with glee, she began to understand that longing. "well you are sorta right, i mean tonight we could do whatever we wanted and it's all because we are single." shrugging her shoulders, she looked to the other. "what's your type? maybe we can set you up with someone."

She sat at one of the many tables, lucky enough to get one that was vacant - which surprised her seeing as how many people were here. "New Orleans parties are on hell of a thing," she mused to herself, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. "God I hate being single," she groaned, "it's so... boring"
it was never easy when the two are angry with each other, because they still loved one another so much. even when in a fight, they'd still, end up cuddling at night and by the next day anger was gone, but this one was bound to last longer. tyler had a difficult relationship with the mikaelson family and gabriela wanted to desperately change all of that. if anything, she understood his feelings towards klaus, the man also made her skin crawl, but she found it all trivial. all of them were grown ups and long gone was the hormones that clouded judgement. when he didn't shy away from her touch, the demon knew that it was okay to keep going.
"you know i will never turn down a quickie in a fancy place like this." her voice had this extra hint of sultry in it, maybe it was the dress and how she felt in it, or maybe it was how that suit hugged all the best spots of her husbands body. despite being married for several years, the two of them were still very much as active as ever, even more so now that the kids were growing up and getting their own places. nodding her head, she continued to speak in a lower tone, making sure that only he could hear as she spoke. "i do think they are here, i mean a decent amount of us are getting drunk and not all of us can handle our liquor that well." joining the faction was only for her families safety, nothing else. gabbi wanted to be in the know for every update on these murders and knew, that the people who got it first were often associated with klaus.
it was difficult to not give in, just lead her husband to some other room for privacy, it had been a few minutes since they'd been this close. he handled the news better than they thought he would, but they could still sense tension. "i don't think they are involved, but it's possible that they have spoken to who is apart of this." the closeness now wasn't entirely for secrecy, it was also to be near. she wasn't sure people got it, the love the two held for each other. for them it felt as if they were each others oxygen. gabbi was always sure of tyler, knowing that he was only the one for her. it happened so quickly and yet never dulled or stopped. "baby, i'm sorry that i didn't talk to you first about joining the faction, but i promise you it's only to get more information. we both know who gets news first and well i want to be close, so our family can stay safe. you are allowed to be upset, but please just know i never do anything to hurt you."
tyler thought that gabriela was breathtaking in her black gown , it seemed like the dress was made for her the way it hugged her body . she was a picture perfect sight , a goddess , was another word he would used to describe her . yet , it didn't change the fact that he was still mad at her for joining the faction . she knew he didn't trust the mikaelson's so he couldn't help but be upset that she had gone behind his back . when her hands rubbed gently against his hand , regardless of how upset he was he didn't deny her touch . it was their love language to touch and he knew that there was nothing she could ever do that would make him deny her anything . in her defense she was doing all of this for their family , he thought , as he was determined to understand her .
the lockwolf dark brows arched when she spoke of things that shouldn't happen . a smirk appeared on his face . " a quickie never hurt anybody ? " he teased . it was true when it came to the two of them , they needed each other like one needed oxygen . his shoulder stood a little taller to hers shoulders as they stood beside each other and watched the room . he tried to see if there was anything that should warrant concern . " you think the killers are here , too ?" he questioned . perhaps it wasn't so bad to have his wife on the inside of the faction after all , he thought , momentarily , but that thought was interrupted by the thought of niklaus and how much he hated that the hybrid .
when gabriela placed her arms around his shoulder , it allowed him to inhale her sweet delicate perfume . her love and affection was sending him through the roof but yet the lockwood male stayed focused on her words . " the frasers' , why ? " he questioned , secretly , when she asked who the owners of the bar were . tyler wondered if it had anything to do with who the killers were .
