Fylgjur / Stag, Wolf, and Raven

Well, my first RDR fanart isn’t what I thought it would be, but I’m still happy with it. I was thinking a lot about Arthur, John, and Jack, and the animals I associate with them, and this was what I ended up making.

The lyrics I ended up writing in to fill in some negative space are from Greta Van Fleet’s song “Stardust Chords” which I ended up listening to on repeat while finishing this up.

I haven’t been very satisfied with my art the past couple weeks. I’ve been sketching things just to delete them. But I said fuck it, went straight to painting, and I actually really like how these came out.

I wish my first contribution to this fandom was some of my own art and not a recolor, but alas. All I have hidden in my folders apart from this are half-hearted doodles I won’t be posting anytime soon. 😓

But that aside, I’m pretty happy with this! And before anyone @s me. I know Soma is Japanese, that the exchange student thing was added to the English localization to make him more relatable to an American audience. But…I dunno, y’all. I still find my little rationalizations for it. He could easily have one Mexican parent and one Japanese. And the thought of him being Mexican like me just helped to further endear him to me, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

Red Dead / Like A Dragon

I have been thinking about Red Dead Redemption and Like A Dragon nonstop the past few days, so have a little outfit swap.

I’d draw Kiryu, Ichiban, and Yagami in Arthur, John, and Jack’s clothes, but the hour is late (as I’m typing this and putting this post in my queue). I’ll have to make a part two another day.

Dumb little thought: Jack learns about La Llorona from his Uncle Javier.

I can only imagine the earful Abigail gave Javier after Jack told on him. Been a bit since I drew anything on paper, but I was drawing with my little nephew, and this thought wouldn’t leave my brain.
