I asked Taylor to play The Albatross in a pink dress. She did it tonight!

In August I posted an analysis of The Albatross. At the end I included this ask:

I genuinely wasn’t expecting her to play The Albatross again. She’s only ever played it one other time (June 29th in Dublin, mashed up with DWOHT) and the number of shows left was quickly dwindling. I don’t know, I just didn’t think she’d play it again.

BTW, when I posted that ask the surprise song dresses were still solid colors. We hadn’t seen these beautiful multicolored ones she debuted for the last leg of the tour.

Not only did she play The Albatross in a pink dress but she mashed it up with holy ground. I had asked her for this combo if she enjoyed reading our analyses. I think this mash up is telling us this space we’ve created is a holy ground for her. She feels safe with us. “Tonight I'm gonna dance/ For all that we've been through/ But I don't wanna dance/ If I'm not dancing with you” 🥹

Holy ground also has the lyric “And I see your face in every crowd” which is wildly reminiscent of 🎃’s latest message. “Every night a sea of different humans. And yet so many of them are the same. I’m aware most of you will probably think I’m crazy. That’s fine. On the chance I’m not, I just want it to be known how appreciative I am. I was watching the surprise songs tonight on live stream and was blown away. She started singing “Wise men…” and my soul left my body. Once I worked through the shock I got very emotional. It warms my heart to know that Taylor sees our support and finds comfort in it. We love you for you. We stay. 💕
