Two Years Ago I Was Swimming In The Sea In Croatia And I Had This Thought. It Was A Very Weird Feeling,

i am so determined to fall more in love with life. intentionally romanticising the walks i am on, the birds chirping, the blooming nature around me, the water in my cup of tea turning from a light peach tone to a dark pink, the poetry i write, the things i am learning, my handwriting, dozing off while sitting in front of my window, all of it and more. I have to take a closer look at the little things that make my heart beat faster.

I feel stupid. I literally thought that the avatar was this picture of David Tennant.

As a Christian I can honestly say that Jesus would calmly slap everyone who is responsible for this shit, and then he would sit with trans people and heal them by himself.

reading vincent van goghs letters and he keeps repeating the same thing.. that i may be of use in the world. he repeats it over and over, in questions, in musings, in desperation. how can i be of use in the world? (the most precious question!) how can i be of use in the world? (how can anyone?) reminds me of that mary oliver quote: to pay attention, this is our endless and proper work. if i were any more insightful i could say something profound here, but i think if we keep focused attention on the question, we may find a way to be of some good. like rilke meant. by loving the questions themselves, we may one day stumble upon the answer.

My blog is a safe space. If you need someone to listen and you're in pain, come. Please. I will listen, you don't have to end your life.

Not to be controversial or anything, but if you identify yourself with dark academia but you don’t uses the lessons of past, in novels and general history, to reflect and better the present, the only academic you are is of ignorance.

The point of studying text and art and history is not to just appreciate it but to understand, analysis and apply it, as a means to shape a better present and future.

For example if you love blood brother but only analysis it in the context of class relations of the time it was wrote, and not also as a way to show how little we have changed dispute as a culture knowing that our system was wrong, you are not a academic. You are a fan.

There is nothing wrong with that but despite what Wilde says art has use beyond enjoyment, beyond the singular, it reflects the history of a society and it’s emotions. It reflects how we got here and reminds us that as we changed once we can change again, through action.

So if in this lockdown you have turned away from social media in favour of books and art, the next time you read othello or to kill a mockingbird remember that is not a past we have moved on from. George flyod lived and breathed as we did. But now he is dead, and there is something you can do to prevent that same fate of innocent black people.

How are people able to love each other romantically so much? How are they able to fall in love since they are in kindergarten? How are they able to find humans that they want to hold and touch and kiss on a regular basis and how they don't think about being somewhere else while doing so... How? How? How...

Is everyone just pretending? Is it that... at some point, you just stop looking? Is it that you settle? Is it that you stop hoping for a great love and you let it go? Do you love the people that you fall asleep next to? How does it look like? How does it feel like?

Is it just luck...

Are some people conditioned to want, to yearn, to wish with no place to release theyre heart? Is wanting really everything there is for some?

I want a cat so much, but I also know, that I want to change countries in a few years and I don't know what would I do with her.

But I want a cat. So for now, this is an appreciation post about cats in cute surroundings. Enjoy. 🙏
