drew this couple weeks back but posting now because I am too tired to draw anything new rn π
I'm an idiot and deleted my original post of this so..
I love the metaphor of merlin and arthur being 2 sides of 1 coin so I had to include it in this drawing of them π₯΄
Kilgarrah: When was the last time you cried?
Merlin: Uh 15 minutes ago, why??
Kilgarrah:Β Really? That recent?
Merlin: Yeah, [Voice cracks]Β is that a issue? [Starts crying again]
Has anyone else realised that Young Royals on netflix is like a modern Merlin Au? Like the prince falls for a lower-class boy & I'd say their personalities would be similar (Arthur/Wilhelm are less comfortable being out and underpressure while Merlin/Simon are chill and confident). But also like Young Royals it probably wouldn't work out in the canon era
I think an insanely overlooked byler proof is
"Listen, the truth is, the last year has been weird, you know? And I mean, you know, Max and Lucas and Dustin, they're... they're great. They're great. It's just... It's Hawkins. It's not the same without you."
this feels straight out of a fanfic. it's so simple but it still manages to single out Mike and Wills relationship completely, that what they have is different and special. if the writers wanted us to view Mike as a completely unreciprocating straight best friend, they wouldn't throw this line in. that Mike is the one who views their relationship as something beyond his other friendships.
Physically cannot stop thinking about Merlin and Arthur peacefully slow dancing in Arthur's chambers late at night after a feast/ celebration.
It's quiet in Camelot and the only other movement in the castle are the guards occasionally patrolling the corridors.
Finally alone, finally safe, they slowly sway there holding eachother close listening to the fire.

Watching Merlin is confusing because I ship Merlin and Arthur, but I also ship Arthur with Gwen, but I ship Gwen with Morgana, but I then ship Morgana with Merlin who I still ship with Arthur, but also ship with Gwaine who I ship Percival and it just goes on and on
quick sketch of mornings with merlin and Arthur
the frustrating thing abt bbc merlin is that the cinematography is great the acting is earnest and the writing is terrible, with just enough good bits and interesting concepts that ppl are willing to put up w it. did no one hire a script editor. please sir my crops are wilting
You're the heart, Will π
