She is a selfish, gaslighting, manipulative young girl who twist the narrative in order to play the victim.
She is one of those people who think that being liked gives her leverage to be a closet jerk. Her sweet smile and good advice is only permitted to those she likes.
I've always noticed how the show would twist the narrative to make everyone else wrong just so Marinette aka Ladybug could swoop in and save the day. (Nevermind the fact that she caused half the problems and she rarely made any amends to the people she hurt)
But the people she wronged they are supposed to kiss her ass and be her friends. What kind of world is that?!
A world that caters to a double standard myopic heroine. This season proved how selfish and petty Marinette is and how much of a FUBAR this show is.
Chloe was the only good thing in this series. Was she nice? No. Good? She wanted to be. But she was a interesting character with a lot of depth and could have been something more then.... this tragedy.
I will take a interesting character like Chloe over the flavors of blah, bland, and boring that are Marinette and Co.
I just want them to be happy.
let’s see how many transphobics we can weed out
Hello it has been a while since I posted anything and after careful thought I have decided to post about why I am against Adrinette or more specific why I do not support Adrinette.
(Note if you are a shipper of this couple that is good and I think that is wonderful. But I am not.)
Now here are my reasons why
Marinette does not respect boundries. In several episodes Marinette has invade Adrien's privacy (Chat Blanc, Party Crasher,Copycat)
Chat Blanc: She broke into his room as Ladybug, walked all over his room, and sniffed his pillow. Just to leave him a present. Question?
She saw him beore a few minutes before doing that in his limo. Why couldn't she just run to his house (and wait until he got home) or call out to him and give him the gift?
Party Crasher: Adrien wanted to have a guys only party. Instead of respecting that she puts on a awful disguise to get in just so she can be near him. It's selfish on her par because she ditched her other friends to go to a party she was not supposed to be at. Question?
Was this fair of Marinette to do to her friends or Adrien. My answer No.
Copycat: She stole his phone. She phone because she left an embarassing message. Question?
Why couldn't she just call him and explain what happened or why couldn't she just confront him at school explain what happen and ask him to delete the message.
She does't trust him around other people (specifically other girls) (examples: volpina, ikari gozen, onii-chan)
Volpina: She didn't say anything say about Lila lies until Adrien came in the picture. For half the episode she followed Adrien and Lila around. Then when Lila was getting close to Adrien she chose to transform in Ladybug just to call out Lila. Question?
Why didn't she just confront them both in the library? Why didn't she as Marinette just take the book and go. (Even tikki called her out on her jealousy.) I do not approve of Lila lying but if it was a big deal why didn't she say anything to her other friends? She told them several lies all of which could have been debunked with research.
Ikari Gozen: (This mainly focuses on Kagami) She joined teams with her for the sole purpose of sabotaging her. She didn't join her in that friendship scavenger hunt to be a good person but to ensure that Kagami won't be able to be with Adrien. Then throughout she talk bad behind Kagami back to Alya as if Kagami was the bad guy. Then come the selfie challenge: when given Kagami phone instead of completing said task she proceed to snoop around in the hopes of finding something. Question?
Why did she join with Kagami if she didn't want her to win. Why couldn't she just tell her the truth? Why couldn't Marinette swallow her pride and actually helped Kagami? Who knows Kagami might have insisted Marinette go with Adrien as a thanks for her help. But no instead it ends with Marinette and Kagami becoming friends. That is not realistic in any sense (atleast in my opinion).
Onii-chan: She tried to break into Adrien house just to spy on him because Lila was there. Marinette knows that Adrien knows that she is a liar so she knows that can handle himself around her. (I am more upset with the firefighter). Question?
Why?
The schedule book and pull down schedule. Kagami even stated that she know Adrien schedule for the next three years. That is not normal. She knows where he is going to be 24/7 and where he should and will be in the future unless the schedule changes. Question?
Why does she need these things? She is not his family, his assistant, photographer, or any thing that would require her having it so why? Why does she need to know where Adrien is all time? Does she think something is going to happen if she doesn't know where his next photoshoot is?
She does not know him. She fantasizes about. only a handful of episodes has she actually spend time with him genuinely. However from what I have seen she mostly fantasizes about him. I do not think she really knows him. She only spends time with him as Ladybug and Chat Noir. She has only spent time with him because of something else. She never tries to get to know Adrien as a person but only sees an image of the "perfect" boy that she has created in her head.
Above I do not believe a relationship would work between Adrien and Marinette. She does not respect him or his privacy. She shows a lack of trust in him (by not trusting any female his age around him she thinks something is going to happen). She stalks him and has a warped idea of their relationship (or what she thinks is their relationship: Volpina: calling Adrien "the love of her life." I know it was probably made as a joke but her behavior around him and Lila seemed somewhat possessive. That is a trait that is never good in a relationship. Her behavior around Adrien when she teamed up with Chloe in Animaestro. The fact that she not only willingly teamed up with someone she does not like just to sabotage another a girl (Kagami) all because she was with Adrien. Now Chloe definitely played a role here but no one made Marinette and the fact that she did this speaks to her level of insecurity.
I think in order for Adrien and Marinette relationship to work they would have to spend genuine time together. She would have to get to him as person and he would have to get to her. Find out the things they have in common and bond that. They could bond over the fashion industry (her being a designer, him being a model) or they could bond over videogames. Or they find something they both lie and just talk about it.
If anything I said offended anyone I apologize. These are opinions. Just as I will respect yours I hope that you will respect mine.
If I missed anything please let me know
Stay safe out everyone.

I understand this completely.
I’m sorry I overthink and ruin our day. I’m sorry I don’t know how to express my feelings properly. I’m trying I really am, but if my whole life I’ve been told to bite my tongue... it’s hard to break a habit.
First off and pardon thou french
THE FUCK!
How dare they!
Marinette you did nothing to help Chloe. You told her to bond with her Emotionally abusive mother because she was no different. That was the one time you should have butted out.
You and your friends make rude and snide comments whenever Chloe used her Father power to get what she wanted (but no problem doing yourself as ladybug)
You were the Class Rep it was your job to look out for all your classmates to just the ones you like. The fact that you knew what Chloe was doing shows how irresponsible and favoritism you are.
Ms. Bustier you did nothing but expect the her classmates to teach her better. It's not her classmates job to.
And finally Andre Bourgeois
You neglectful ass. You are her father, her guide to becoming a good person. You knew what kind of person Audrey is and let Chloe emulate that toxic behavior. You taught Chloe her behavior she is this way because you never enforced any type of guidance or structure. You never told her no.
But now that you have your perfectly sweet vanilla daughter Zoe you can rid yourself of the one you and your monster of a wife screwed up!
All of you did nothing but contribute to Chloe downfall. Is Chloe a bully. Yes. But to call that justice is just cruel and hateful.
She needs counseling, therapy, meds. The last thing she needs is to be left alone with her Abusive mother.
This is so cool! Those voices are spot on! The comic is amazing and now I want a anime of this. The voice behind this beautiful. This is just in all words AWESOME!
A lovely team of voice actors headed by Rachelizzza Dubs/ @rachelizzza took to the daunting task of dubbing Chapter 1 of Sonic: Phantom Forces. Please Please Please take a look at this- I had a lovely time listening to everyone :)
Good to know.
This won’t make your blog look ugly. How could you not reblog this? REBLOGGING THIS COULD SAVE A LIFE!!!
No, I am not going to sit here and talks about Chloe's family, or issues, or one writers seeming obsession with her. No!
I am here to discuss what I think is a very common misunderstanding about Chloe's character and the show in fandom that often crops up in discussion regarding her.
Namely that the thing Chloe needs most is to be chastised, rejected & punished for her mean behavior, that will sort her out!
As though that wasn't already a thing that happens?
Bear with me and I'll explain that claim first:
The school does not like punishing any students. The only reason Alya was punished for coordinating an effort to break into Chloe's locker is because Chloe threatened the principle. The only reason Marinette was almost expelled was because Lila framed her for cheating, theft & assault all in one day & she still needed to make a scene of the whole affair. There's one teacher that punishes students, but she does so unfairly, cruelly and haphazardly and in season 1, Chloe was not shown getting any special treatment from her. Special treatment from the faculty was not a thing unless we are counting later retcons.
So now that the faculty is out of the way, wat I mean is that Chloe is not a typical mean girl because she is not popular.
In stuff like Mean Girls, Heathers and so on, the usual standard is that the mean girls are mean, but they are also revered, beloved, popular in one way or another despite their horrible behavior.
This is not the case with Chloe.
Even in Season 1 where only Marinette & Nino seems to start the season disliking Chloe. (Her presence unpleasant but hardly traumatic given the Origins level bickering) Chloe was still not widely well liked by the class or school.
She had one friend in Sabrina and a second oh so briefly in Adrien, which did let her absorb some of his celebrity by proximity. But within 48 hours of having him she lost him; with Adrien becoming more distant to divorce himself from her behavior.
That's it and while one can say her haughty attitude and ego are the reason we know from season 2 she is aware everyone hates her & it upsets her.
S1-Chloe did get invited to some class events, but even then her presence was not largely welcomed with most far less prone to be patient with her than they were with others even if they exhibited similar behavior. Such as Kim bullying Ivan, or Nino expressing blatant frustration with Mylene, ETC.
By late season 2 she was pretty much entirely segregated from her peers, barring Sabrina, and her presence welcomed with shades of disinterest, disdain or outright hostility. Sometimes evoked on her part or just in general.
This is a big difference from the usual Mean Girls = Popular Girls trend but I often don't see it acknowledged in fandom discourse.
This especially feels to be the case given so often I see people arguing Chloe "needs" to be rejected, or told her behavior is bad, or that no one likes her... But she is, all the time, she is entirely aware people don't like her and unhappy about it.
The issue is not that her bad behavior is being rewarded in school. The issue is that bad behavior is what she was taught at home and what is encouraged there and what is shown to work for her parents. But it doesn't work for her and she doesn't know why, because no one really bothers to teach her why. hey just get angry and snap at her or ignore her.
& sure you can say its not her peers job to explain morality o empathy to someone who was explicitly taught by their father how to cheat at & win elections by intimidation. But the fact is no one at home is going to do so because they are modelling, encouraging & teaching the opposite up until it impacts 'them' personally.
Not sure if there's a greater point to this, but...
I often find people acting like the thing Chloe needs is for her bad behavior not to be 'rewarded' or 'indulged' by her class and to instead be 'rejected' and for her to face 'consequences'.
But she does! That's basically all she does; & When she doesn't usually an Akuma tries to murder her anyway!
So yeah, Chloe isn't a typical mean girl.
She's actually deeply unpopular among classmates and the school has a discipline issue all over, it didn't come from her.
More negativity is not going to magically make her "better".
One day I might post something but I have to gather the confidence, I believe in redemption and atonement (and if creators refuse there is always fanon)
