I almost forgot about this little piece I embroidered a while ago but didn’t frame until last week. It’s inspired by a traditional song from south Italy where my dad’s from.

Long time no update. The second half of 2023 really ran me over until I was completely flat and all of my blood was gone. But I’m back babey! This is everything I finished in January 2024. Three embroidered hoops, three embroidered pins, and two collages. This doesn’t include the sketching and tie dyeing for future projects. Don’t know what kinda manic wave I’m riding but we’re gonna ride it till it crashes!

I don't think we talk enough about the fact every time Shouta has interacted with the public/Press he has looked like this:

(Not counting the Sports Festival in which he was all covered up.)

And whenever he's interacted with parents or Guardians of the kids, he looked like this:

Now this is how Shouta usually looks:

Curly and wild hair, facial hair as well, dark eyebags, he's scared many characters just by his looks. (Ochako, Izuku, etc.)

Shouta is a man that has no care for appearances nor how others view him. And yet, he cleaned up in the name of his kids. He, or someone, straightened his hair, maybe even cut it a bit, he shaved, put on a suit and tie, I even think he could have put make up under his eyes because of the lack of heavier eyebags.

Now, we know this. Old news.

But consider:

There's a real possibility that the kids parents have never met Shouta when he was not dressed up, and do not know him as anything else but that cleaned up version.

Can you imagine you meet your kids teacher, he's quiet but polite and well kept. Very straight to the point and well mannered.

Time goes by, parents evening comes up and you're talking with all the teachers, asking about your kid's grades and such, you ask where the homeroom teacher is, Mr Aizawa, they point across the room, you expect to see that quiet but polite man talking to another parent maybe.

Instead you see a sickly tired looking man, curly hair unbrushed and knotted, he's holding a ugly yellow sleeping bag under his arm. He's drinking out of a jelly packet, next to him is a punk rock guy with the ugliest fucking moustache you've ever seen, and a woman who looks like she's from Victoria Secret.

Tell me you would NOT wonder what the FUCK happened.

Latest and greatest embroidery project yet, complete with bling!

I am so excited to share this, as it's based on gorgeous artwork by @runawaymun that accompanies her fic To Partake, both of which I am asbolutely obsessed with (in case that that wasn't obvious).

I've been wanting to make this ever since I saw the artwork for the Nightingale Pin almost a year ago, but at the time I didn't really have the skills to pull it off. But I kept thinking about it and the bug never left me so here we are :). Of course there are things I would do differently next time, but I love how this came out regardless and I hope it reps the original artwork in some small measure!

I'm so inspired by @runawaymun's fic and art along with all the other writers and artists that post amazing things on this site every day; your talent and creativity makes me want to push my own creative boundaries, and so I have!

There is a new Chrome extension that detects if a video you’re streaming has a strobe in it, will freeze the video and stick this warning up there until you approve it.

just realised rock around the clock means theyre going to rock during all the hours on the clock. always pictured it like this 

I saw pill bugs on here a few weeks ago and really wanted to make my own! The pattern is a bit rough but I hope it works (I tried to get it perfect for like a week before calling it good enough).

Just print out (or copy from a screen) the first page and cut out the pattern pieces. Hopefully the pictures on page two will help but if not I will do my best to answer any questions!
