Ahh might have to try some of these! I’ve been so lost without exams to revise for lol, it’s been lovely to have a break though ☺️
How are you all doing? 💛🌱
Darkly academic research ideas for your time indoors (because you're not a heathen):
The lives of great classical composers.
Ancient Egypt's social hierarchy and attitudes towards women, homosexuality etc.
Poisons.
The tea trade, and how it became so important to British culture.
18th century fashion and the production of clothing.
How corsets aren't the terrible patriarchal torture devices everyone thinks they are.
The use of recreational drugs in the late 19th century.
The French revolution.
Methods of forensic investigation at crime scenes.
Controversy in psychological studies.
Matriarchal societies.
How nostalgia influences fashion, media, and literature.
The nature versus nurture argument.
The history of trains and railroads.
Symbolism in art.
Just a few research rabbit holes to throw yourself into if you're bored. :)
Hello!
Today I tidied up my room.
It was, I guess, a ‘superficial, tidy - cleaning surfaces, putting stuff in wardrobes, etc. I was really surprised by just how refreshed I felt afterwards. My room feels so much more open and calm!
I originally thought the task felt a bit daunting, so I put a long Minecraft video on for background noise and centred my focus on small sections of the room at a time. It made it a lot more manageable!
Have you got anything that you could tidy? Set aside a little time to put some things away that you’ve been meaning to for a while!
Have a lovely day! ☺️🍎
I have my very last physics exam today! I’m honestly quite excited to know that this is the end of me taking the subject. It’s been so interesting but draining at the same time, and I’m excited to prove myself one last time!
I was originally really scared of paper 3, but after yesterday I’m feeling oddly confident.
Good luck to anyone else taking exams! 😚🌺
I get my results in 9 hours, omg
🌻To-Do List:🌻
Inorganic chemistry reactions flashcards
Chemical tests flashcards
2017 A-Level Chemistry Paper 1
2018 A-Level Chemistry Paper 1
Fill out booklet
Online courses
I’m hoping to get all this done today, and have a really productive day! 📚
I’m feeling quite confident about chemistry at the moment, so I’m hoping these should go okay. 🧪
I’ll update later, have a productive day! ☺️🫶🏻
I didn’t update yesterday because I was so busy and overwhelmed and ahhh.
But, I got…
A*AA!
I’m so unbelievably happy! I’ve got into medical school!
The breakdown:
Biology - A
Chemistry - A
Physics - A*
I can’t believe I got an A* in physics. I cried so much in that exam and afterwards I genuinely thought I wouldn’t scrape an A.
I’m so so so happy!
How did you do?
And to anyone with GCSE results next week, best of luck! Remember, wherever you end up is where you were meant to be!
I honestly loved that exam! It felt like a mock? Thank goodness for those questions. I enjoyed it even more than paper one! 😳
How did everyone else find it?? ☺️🌷
(also the heat in the UK is killing me wow)
Good morning!
To Do List:
2019 Biology Paper 1
2020 Biology Paper 1
Predicted Biology Paper 1
My biology exam is tomorrow! I’m feeling really confident because biology is my best subject, and all the practice papers are going well! 🤭
Have you got any exams coming up? 🤔
Of course!! I would be nothing without my teddies ngl 🧸💛
My friend is embarrassed and thinks she’s the only one and I said id prove her wrong.
Good evening!
A little catch up is needed, I think! :)
