pairing. itoshi rin x gn!reader
summary. rin is cold to everyone, but maybe he'll warm up to you.
content warnings. 2k wc, college au, reader wears a skirt, mentions of injury + a little blood.
you aren't one to believe in silly superlatives, but the last few months have helped you understand why itoshi rin is regarded as the most unapproachable student on campus.
he works alone and during the moments when he's required to collaborate, the man is incredibly blunt. outside of class, you rarely see him accompanied by anyone other than his team and even then he never seems thrilled to be around them. the aloof expression he constantly wears only solidifies everyone's perception of him—everyone's but yours.
you're a firm believer that people are more than they let on and rin is no different. beneath his frigid exterior, there's something more. at least, that's what you've been telling yourself for the last several weeks. if you weren't convinced, how else would you explain your efforts of getting close to him?
you're on a mission, one to see if you can chip away, thaw, the icy exterior that encases itoshi rin.
"rin!" you shout, but your call doesn't elicit any sort of response—he doesn't pause, doesn't turn his head, just keeps walking as though your voice is nothing more than a gust of wind. his disregard fails to deter you as you pick up your pace to catch up with rin's long strides. it takes a bit but when you finally do, you smile and link your arm with his. you look up at him before asking, "hey, didn't you hear me calling your name?"
"i did. i was just ignoring you." his teal eyes finally spare you a short glance before he's shaking you off, pulling his arm out of your hold and stuffing his hand in the pocket of his long, beige coat. it's you again, he thinks.
you remind him of something—a gnat, that's it. small and bothersome but easy to swat away. though, just like them, you always seem to make your way back. he's grown used to your repeated appearances, even if he finds them slightly bothersome.
"this is why you don't have any friends, you know." you sigh, the stream of air that leaves your mouth visible as a foggy cloud in front of you. you peer up at him through your eyelashes. "you're so cold."
he's silent in response to your statement and you expected as much. still, you send him a smile and continue talking. "i'm willing to look past that, though. what are you doing now?"
"going home." rin hopes his answer is enough to dispel whatever thought is brewing in your head.
"perfect! so you're free." he turns to you with a frown. what part of "going home" gave you the impression that he had nothing else to do? "wanna go get sushi? it's on campus so we wouldn't have to go far."
"no thanks." he looks away to finalize his answer.
"aw, come on, rin." if you're going to get anywhere, you can't keep letting him brush you off. "it doesn't have to be sushi," you try to bargain, but he doesn't budge, only continues toward his destination.
maybe you should just drop it, try again another time, but your body has other ideas. you take a few quick steps forward so you're standing in front of rin. you're walking partially backward as your next words come out. "we can get whatever you w-"
the ground beneath your feet doesn't feel as stable as it did a moment ago, it's slippery now, enough to make you lose your balance. you slide forward on a patch of ice before the concrete is back under you. the bottoms of your shoes catch on the roughness of the ground, launching your forward. your knees and the heels of your palms skim the sidewalk, drawing a pained gasp from your lungs.
"shit, are you okay?" rin's voice cuts through the air, and it's closer than it was when you were upright. you turn your head to find his face right beside yours. his eyes are zoned in on your hands and you swear you can see a glint of concern pass over them.
"i'm fine," you tell him, sitting back on your knees and painting on a smile to cover up the pain. you shake your hands at the wrist but the cool air only bites at your open wounds. "it just stings a little."
you're a lousy liar, rin thinks. did you think he wouldn't notice the breath of air you sucked in just now? blue-green irises scan over your hands and knees. the fall was enough to tear your tights and break the skin. there's blood slowly pooling from the surface of each scratch.
"come on," rin sighs, straightening up and shrugging his coat off his shoulders. you stare up at him with lips parted in confusion. he jerks his head in a silent gesture for you to stand up.
"where are we going?" you ask, carefully boosting yourself up from off the ground.
"to my apartment." he glances at your outfit before holding out his coat to you. "put this on."
you want to ask him why but you figure your constant questioning will put him off. you keep your lips sealed as you accept his coat, slinging it over your much thinner zip-up. your eyes dart back to where he's standing—or where he was standing. he's not there anymore but it only takes a tilt of your head to find him. he's bent at the knee in front of you and his arm reaches over his shoulder to pat his back. "get on."
your eyes widen in a mixture of surprise and triumph. the gesture itself catches you off guard—before now, it was hard to ever picture rin being so... helpful, chivalrous. on the other hand, this is the first of what you hope becomes many wins in your pursuit of melting away what you think is his frosty façade.
a quiet laugh pushes past your lips as you bend down to wrap your arms around rin's neck. he hooks his hands under your knees, a low grunt rumbling in his chest as he rises up from his position.
you can't help but think it would be a lot colder if you weren't wearing rin's coat. maybe you should have taken a look at the weather before you decided to put a skirt on this morning. it's only then that it strikes you—he didn't give you the jacket to keep you warm, he gave it to you to keep you covered. if the length of the outerwear wasn't draped over your legs, this piggyback ride would be a lot more compromising.
your cheeks and the tips of your ears are flaming hot compared to the nip of the cold air. you aren't sure if you're flustered because of the close call or the fact that rin was attentive and considerate enough to protect your decency. he's a lot more thoughtful than he puts on.
despite your fall being entirely unintentional, you have to say, the timing couldn't have been better. the walk to rin's apartment isn't far at all and if you hadn't found a way to stop him, you wouldn't have gotten through to him today.
with you still on his back, rin fishes out his keys from his pocket, sticking one into the keyhole and twisting until a click signals that the front door is unlocked. you can't see far into the apartment over his shoulder, but the kitchen and the little glimpse of the living room are exactly what you expected—neat. there are no dirty dishes littered about the counters and the blanket hanging over the back of the couch is tidily folded.
the bathroom is directly to the right of the entrance and rin nudges the door open with his foot to allow the both of you in. he kneels in front of the toilet, setting you down on the closed lid. you survey the scratches on your palms as rin washes his hands and grabs the first-aid kit he keeps under the sink. he kneels down in front of you to start treating the scrapes on your knees.
the process is a silent one, rin's focus solely on cleaning your wounds. the silence makes you want to squirm but the thought of being reprimanded by rin keeps you glued to your spot. his presence is always overwhelming but much less so when it's accompanied by conversation. so, you speak, "this is your fault, you know."
he stills for a split second before continuing, but you don't miss the way his eyebrows knit together. “how is you slipping my fault?”
you bite your lip to hold back a laugh. the empty statement was merely a poor attempt at breaking the silence, but you're beginning to think that you can use this to your advantage. "i was just trying to be nice and invite you out. if you agreed to lunch with me, this all would have been avoidable."
rin clicks his tongue. he knows what you're doing; you're trying to guilt trip him, make him feel bad. and he does, he recognizes—but not for the reasons you think. he's never been particularly benevolent but something drove him to act today, something he can't quite put his finger on. all he can say for sure is that he wouldn't be doing this for just anyone.
"don't worry, though." your voice brings rin back to reality from his thoughts. his teal gaze lands on your face and you smile. it's pretty, the thinks, but there's a gleam in your eyes that isn't as sweet. "i know how you can make it up to me."
"am i not doing that now?" he asks as he finishes bandaging your second knee.
you ignore his question, holding your palms up at rin's nod toward them. "i'll forgive you if you take me up on my offer. going out for lunch, i mean."
a gnat. persistent and pesky.
"what makes you think i want your forgiveness?" his words, the bluntness of them, starkly contrasts his touch. the lithe finger applying antibiotic ointment to your torn skin is gentle, tender even.
"maybe you don't," you hum curiously. you were sure he would have given in by now but his resolve was starting to seem unbreakable. there's one strategy you have left, one you were hoping you wouldn't have to turn to. although, you suppose you could always go back on your word. and rin didn't have to know that.
you clear your throat resolutely in hopes that your next statement comes out smoothly. "i'll leave you alone if you humor me this once."
rin almost snorts. he highly doubts that will be the case with your track record and all. despite his skepticism, he doesn't immediately jump to rejecting you and the lack of a prompt "no" surprises you both.
rin sticks the last square band-aid to your hand while he contemplates your proposal. something about this unplanned interaction has surfaced unfamiliar feelings from the depths of his heart. he still doesn't understand why he decided to lend you a helping hand, but he figures there must have been a reason—one that he'll come closer to finding out if he swallows his pride and agrees to your outing.
"fine." he sits back on his heels, letting his hands rest on his thighs.
you blink at the one-word answer. "fine?"
"that's what i said." rin stands up from his place on the floor and starts toward the door. he looks over his shoulder to see you still seated. "come on before i change my mind."
it would be dumb of you to miss this opportunity—the one that you had sacrificed your physical well-being and a pair of cute tights for—all because you're awestruck. so you quickly stand and scurry over to rin with a satisfied grin.
you can feel him tense beside you when you loop your arm through his once more. "i knew you'd warm up to me."
thanks for reading! comments and reblogs are greatly appreciated!
those nights with fratboy!miya atsumu whos an ultimate softie with you
more fratboy!atsumu here!
"not going to the party tonight?"
atsumu shook his head, a muffled sound escaping as he buried his face in your back, his arms ensnaring you in an embrace. a small smile played on your lips. "why not?" you asked, even though you might have an inkling as to why. you've noticed that this is the umpteenth time he's skipped a party to spend time with you, a pattern that began when you started dating.
he groaned. "dont wanna," atsumu replied, tightening his hold around your torso. you chuckled, continuing to type on your laptop while perched on atsumu's lap, from which you couldn't escape. "you'll get bored hanging out with me, you know?" a hum was your reply, followed by the sensation of his breath on the back of your neck. "mm, no, I won't," atsumu murmured, planting a kiss on your skin and savoring your warmth.
"i want to be close to ya," atsumu's words sent your heart soaring, and a wide grin spread across your face. you shifted, turning to face him as you wrapped an arm around him, stroking his hair. "tsumu's being clingy today, isn't he?" you teased, a playful tone in your voice as atsumu whined when you ruffled his hair. "shaddup," he shot back, but a concealed smile betrayed his pretended irritation. he looked into your eyes as you caressed his hair tenderly, which you met with a smile.
"what?" you inquired.
"nothin',"
atsumu couldn't help himself. he grinned mischievously, leaning further into you as he tightened his embrace, eliciting a whine from you. oh, how he wished this moment could last forever.
you chuckle softly, feeling the warmth of his embrace. “you’re such a softie, tsumu,” you murmur, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead.
atsumu’s cheeks flush slightly, but he doesn’t let go. “only for you,” he mumbles, his voice barely above a whisper.
you smile, feeling a surge of affection for the boy who had somehow wormed his way into your heart. “well, im glad you’re here,” you say, your fingers tracing soothing patterns on his back. “but I really do need to finish this paper.”
atsumu sighs dramatically, but there’s a playful glint in his eyes. “fine, fine. I’ll let ya work. but only if ya promise to take a break soon and spend some time with me.”
you laugh, nodding. “deal. now, be a good pillow and stay still.”
he grins, settling in more comfortably. “anything for you, babe.”
as you continue typing, you can’t help but feel a sense of contentment. despite his frat boy reputation, atsumu had a way of making you feel cherished and loved. and in moments like these, you realized just how lucky you were to have him by your side.
i think too many people forget that gojo is actually insane
the first snow: ½
Rin meets you at Lawson at 2:32am.
His first choice was FamilyMart. He liked their selection of ramen brands better. However, by some choice of fate, Lawson was the only store open near his hotel where he was staying. Rin was impatient and already in a mood. He didn’t quite know what caused it, but the amalgamation of the events that ensued in his coming back to Japan, combined with his nutritionist’s new (vomit-inducing) diet caused some sort of fuse to short circuit in his brain.
He doesn’t typically like leaving his hotel room for nonsensical reasons (anything other than practice) but Rin thinks he might die if he has to stay within the four cream coloured walls of this confined cage any longer. That’s what it is to him — a chain, a nuisance, a reminder of where he is stuck.
Rin knows his manager will be pissed at him if he is seen roaming Shibuya at the dead of night on a Saturday. It’s understandable; him leaving a hotel room, going to a convenience store — all fingers point to him hiding an illicit affair of sorts. He’s heard it all before. His managers have told him time and time again to stop, to quit while he is ahead.
Rin can’t find it in himself to give half a damn.
He’s given the public nearly twenty years of his life, but he’s grown tired and vengeful at the age of thirty-tree. Rin has been living with a carnal monster within himself for ten years. It is loud with claws, imposing and large. He has been nurturing it for a quarter of that time, domesticating its behaviour to live amicably alongside it; letting it live in the catacombs of his brain, locked alongside with the very source of its existence. He’d assumed this anger and this beast would disappear within him as he grew older but it has only seemed to amplify.
Nonetheless, Rin certainly won’t stop trying, especially if the worst meant he would end up on a discrete Japanese tabloid he could not remember the name of even if he tried.

Hello taps on mic,, I think you know who this is hehees 🐳 May I request for keito kissing headcanons? Thank you march dear and take care ! Lots of hearts (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡
A/N: hi friend. giggles. I hope you likeeeee
*ೃ༄ Keito Hasumi kissing hc’s
⤷ Keito’s kisses feel familiar — warm, soft, infused with all the love and tenderness that the man can possibly muster. They feel like a thank you, an appreciative gesture. Thanking you for loving him, thanking you for sticking by him through thick and thin. They’re kind, enticing, and always end much too soon for Keito’s liking.
⤷ No one would think Keito Hasumi to be clingy and needy for the affection of his lover, but he is. His eyes are always wandering to your lips, pondering how soft and wonderful they’d feel against his own, wondering if your lips felt just as drawn to his, as his felt to yours… It’s a bad habit, perhaps, but one that he just can’t help. Humor him, maybe?
⤷ His hands always find your cheeks when you’re sharing in a kiss. Even if his fingertips only briefly brush against the skin of your face, it’s a tendency of his that you find to be adorably endearing. He holds your face closer to his, his head tilting only slightly in order to deepen the kiss. He sighs, long and somewhat hushed, into your mouth.
⤷ Keito will often present himself for a kiss, lips only slightly pursed and head tilted towards you, pupils widening — wordlessly begging for you to place your lips upon his. Blatantly asking for a kiss is much too flustering for him, and he doesn’t want to overstep by going in for himself — so this is how he settles, and he finds that it amuses you immensely.
⤷ The kisses that Keito gives you are gentle and endearing, his lips carefully placed over your own, holding you against him and expressing all of his feelings for you in one soft, sweet, simple gesture. His kisses are plentiful and full of life, and when his lips are on yours, you feel like you could conquer anything.

My Saviour [Itoshi Rin]
→ Itoshi Rin x fem!reader
Summary: Rin doesn't think he can spend a minute longer in Sae's penthouse with him or his lukewarm fiancé. He needs to escape, and that's where you, his saviour, come in!
Word Count: 2,497
Genre: A bit of angst and fluff!
a/n: I've practically read all the Rin fanfictions I can find, so I had to make do with what I could to cure my boredom :( I genuinely don't even know what this is... so umm enjoy! Also, thank you for the love for my previous work ˗ˏˋ ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ˎˊ˗
Rin would instead do so many other things right now than to be here for dinner in Sae's penthouse with their parents. He'd rather have Bachira bleed his ears out than be in the same room as Sae with his stupid current fiancé.
He doesn't even know why he was invited tonight. The pair haven't spoken a word in so long, especially after Rin argued with Sae's so-called lover after she rudely told him off for being disrespectful to Sae one evening. And in Rin's defence, he wasn't being disrespectful. But he assumes it's because of their parents, who probably nagged Sae to at least invite his younger brother for this special occasion.
And Rin couldn't care less in reality. He didn't want to be here with them. They didn't even want him here, so why is he here?! He hates Sae's stupid fiancé and wishes nothing but the worst for their engagement and future marriage.
Was it petty? Sure, but Rin had a right to be that way. He had every right to hate the woman who would be taking on the Itoshi last name. She had the nerve to interfere with a brother's quarrel that she knew nothing about. Rin wondered if she'd even speak a word if she knew Sae was the reason for the hatred the two share now. And anyway, who was she to tell Rin off? It isn't his fault that his brother somehow manages to hit a nerve each time, and for all Rin knows, Sae deserved the words coming out of his mouth.
He hates everything about this.
But most of all, he hates how his brother found love. He hates how Sae can be so tender, as if he didn't tear his heart into pieces. He hates it all so much. Because Rin knows any chances the two could have reconciled is over. Sae has someone else he can prioritise now and look after. The days of Rin being the younger one eagerly following Sae along is long gone.
So Rin can't help but be grumpy as he stabs his steak. He wonders if the stupid woman may have poisoned his meal when Sae wasn't looking. And honestly, he hopes that's the case.
His mother can't help but look at her youngest son in pity. She wonders if asking Sae to invite him was the right call. Because as she stares at Rin, she can't help but to think he would be in a better mood if he was elsewhere.
Rin was the first to finish his meal, prompting him to get up and take his plate to the sink. And he doesn't know if he's doing this because of his good manners, despite wanting to commit murder, or because he needs to get away from the table, even for a minute.
He doesn't leave room for anyone to question his behaviour as he instantly walks out of the dining room to the kitchen without a word.
Upon arriving at the kitchen, Rin can't help but grunt whilst unintentionally slamming his plate on the sink, causing him to flinch ever so slightly.
"Shit." He hoped no one heard that because he'd rather not get scolded for trying to break Sae's tableware, which he wasn't even attempting to do.
And to his dismay, he can hear his mother yelling from the dining room. "Rin dear, your phone is ringing! From someone named Y/N?"
Rin blinks and instantly turns his head to his mother's voice. Now he wasn't expecting that; if anything, he was expecting a scolding. He wasn't expecting a call from you, but maybe that's precisely what he needs.
You prefer texting Rin and only seem to call if you want to urgently reach him to go somewhere together. And he hopes that's the case because it could be a good enough excuse to leave.
Rin rushes back to the room before the call can end and answers it, hoping you want his presence by your side. He can't stay here for another minute, he might actually explode.
"RIN, MY LOVE!!! The dessert place we saw last week finally opened up! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" You squeak in excitement, catching the young athlete off guard. Actually, you caught the entire Itoshi family off guard with your chirping voice that could be heard through the phone.
Now, the word of endearment is something familiar to Rin. You occasionally call him "my love" and "dear" at times, a force of habit you say as you call your high school friends that. But his family surely doesn't know that- they don't even know you!
"..."
"Rin? Hey, can you hear meeeee?"
"Did I hear that correctly? My love?" Rin's mother questions, her voice mixed with confusion and shock. She couldn't believe her ears; surely she had heard wrong!
Rin doesn't answer you or his mother. He completely shut down, frozen in place. This is the last thing he expected to happen. How is he even going to explain this?
His father can only stare at Rin, waiting for him to explain whether his wife's statement was correct.
Sae blinks, and despite there not being a single emotion written on his face, he is surprised, to say the least. Because Rin isn't one to confine himself to a relationship. After all, in high school, he was the one who rejected all his Valentine's gifts and returned them all back.
And Sae's girlfriend? Stunned. The widening of her eyes and mouth agape whilst gawking at Rin doesn't go unnoticed by him. And he hates that because what's so shocking? If she can deal with Sae's lukewarm stuck-up ass, surely someone can love him too.
You finally caught on, hearing Mrs Itoshi's voice causing panic to rise within you, "...Oh- Rin, I'm so sorry!!! I forgot you were-"
And Rin can't say you're friends now. No, that would mean more questions. And he doesn't have time for that.
But Rin would be lying if he said he didn't secretly enjoy that no one can utter a word after their endless chattering. And honestly, one-upping Sae seems rather tempting after the torture he has just been put through.
"I'll be there." He cuts you off whilst grabbing his jacket from the chair. He doesn't even spare a glance at his family before saying, "I'm heading out."
"ITOSHI RIN!!! Don't you dare leave without saying anything about this matter." His mother glares at him sternly, determined to get a word out of him.
Oh, that scared you. And you can't help but feel bad. You should have known better. Before you can apologise once again, Rin beats you to speaking.
"My girlfriend is clingy. Happy?" He rolls his eyes and ends the call before you can scream into his ear again.
"Ah... it seems he has been keeping someone from us." His father chuckles whilst eyeing his youngest son with amusement.
His mother blinks, taking a minute to process what her youngest son said. And as the words finally clicked, she couldn't help but excitedly squeal. "Rin, that's great news!!! You must-"
"Yeah, yeah, I'll introduce you to her soon." He cuts her off with a wave of his hand. "But I got to go, she's on her own."
"Yes, yes, hurry, hurry. You shouldn't leave a lady waiting, especially not at night." His father nods in agreement.
And with that, Rin heads off, feeling rather relieved he's out of that lukewarm penthouse.
"RIN!!!" You dash towards him, clutching onto his jacket before shaking him non-stop. "YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS CLINGLY? YOU'RE THE CLINGY ONE!"
You glare at him, but the flushness of your cheeks doesn't go unnoticed by the striker.
"Am not." He simply replies, firmly grabbing your wrists to prevent you from further shaking him.
"ARE TOO!" You huff, yanking your hands away from him. "And I'm not your girlfriend. Why would you tell your family that?!"
"Yeah, but what was I supposed to say after you called me my love?"
"I always say that! What's so weird about someone calling their friend that anyway?" You cross your arms defensively.
Truth be told, you're not actually mad. Having Rin declare you as his girlfriend to his parents sends butterflies down your stomach and makes you smile like a dork. But you're confused and need clarification about why he would do something unordinary. It's unlike him. And you don't appreciate being used as a scapegoat about something like this- not when you're in love with him.
Rin sighs and ruffles his hair before answering your question in annoyance, "Seriously, Y/N? Why would I let anyone call me that, specifically someone from the opposite gender?"
You blink. "Huh?"
"I wouldn't let anyone call me a lukewarm word like that."
"Oh... so it's lukewarm now?" You question in a small voice, and Rin instantly notices how your eyes seem to turn glossy.
"No, no- that's not what I mean!" He huffs, annoyed with how he sucks at explaining himself. "I mean, I wouldn't let anyone say that to me, get it? They wouldn't believe you're a friend after saying that to me and not getting some insult back."
And that's when it clicks, and your face instantly turns bright red because he's right! Why does he even let you call him that?! The Itoshi Rin that everyone knows would scowl at you and probably cuss you out for even saying the word love to him, let alone as a nickname.
"O-oh... you're right... b-but..."
"But?" Rin raises his eyebrow, waiting impatiently for you to finish your sentence.
"Why do you let me call you that?" You say as you look up at Rin with confusion mixed with curiosity.
And Rin swears he can feel his heart hammer against his chest because the way you look at him isn't as innocent as you think. He thinks this situation may not be better than what he endured half an hour ago.
Not because he doesn't want to be here with you, but he'd rather not admit the certain way his heart beats anytime you're around him. He's devoted to his career and doesn't need anything else. Or so he thought, till now.
Maybe it's because he just returned from Sae's, who happens to be recently engaged, but Rin can't seem to deny the way his heart is pounding in his chest any longer. It's the same type of adrenaline he gets near the end of the game when he's minutes away from scoring the winning goal.
"Rin?" You call out, hoping to capture his attention again.
"I don't know." He breathes out, trying to steady his breathing.
"You don't know...?" The fall of your expression causes Rin's chest to tighten, and he hates how shitty he feels for being the cause of that expression.
"Shit, no, I do know."
You awkwardly laugh, giving him a sleepish smile. "Don't worry. You don't need to say it if it makes you uncomfortable. I'll just die from curiosity." You tease, hoping to ease his unsettledness.
"No. I do." He stares at you, teal eyes burning into yours. You gulp, suddenly feeling so small under his gaze.
"I..." The words get caught in Rin's throat, frustrating him. A scowl forms on his features. He can't believe he's acting like this right now. The Itoshi Rin can't even tell the girl he's helplessly in love with that he loves her.
But you don't show a hint of annoyance. You continue to stare at him with your bright eyes, urging him silently to continue. And Rin loses his composure that minute.
"Screw it." He abruptly yanks you by the hand towards his chest, catching you off guard. And you don't even have time to process it before he smashes his lips onto yours.
Itoshi Rin was never a man of words, so why start now?
It takes a minute for you to realise what just happened. The sudden collision to his chest, only to be met with his lips straight after. It felt like whiplash. But you can't help but to melt into his lips, kissing him back just as passionately.
For a moment, Rin forgets he's in public, completely lost in your love and the taste of your lips. That is till he hears a little girl giggling, watching the scene with her sparkly eyes.
"Look, look, they're in love, mummy!" She screeches excitedly, jumping up and down. "It's like the fairy tales!"
Rin immediately pulls away from you, catching his breath before turning to the little girl, embarrassed. His ears are tainted red and his usual deadpan expression is nowhere to be seen.
And you? Oh, you're just as embarrassed. Your cheeks are flushed, and you can't help but subtly hide behind Rin's tall figure.
"Sorry... you shouldn't have seen that." Rin clears his throat, scratching the back of his neck in an attempt to calm himself down from the adrenaline.
The little girl's mother simply shakes her head, smiling at Rin. "Please, don't mind her. She's been recently obsessed with cute couples after all the fairy tales she's been reading."
And Rin doesn't know what to say. In return, he can only offer a polite smile, hoping it is enough to be considered an apology for making out in front of a child.
The little girl smiles, and if you weren't so embarrassed, you would have wanted to squish her chubby cheeks.
Her mother simply chuckles at Rin's awkwardness and bids you both farewell before dragging her daughter along, who waves excitedly at the two of you.
You glance up at Rin shortly, letting out a small giggle. You can't help it. The situation was humiliating enough, and you can't bear to say a word to Rin, but his expression is too cute to ignore.
"What?" He glances down at you, attempting to hide his flustered expression. To his dismay, it's obvious to you.
You laugh, going on your tippytoes to kiss him on the cheek. "You're cute, too cute!"
"Am not." He huffs, a scowl forming on his features. But the way his lips curve slightly into a smile doesn't go unnoticed by you.
"Are too~"
He grunts, flicking your forehead.
"H-hey!" That hurt!" You whine, hands instantly reaching to hold your forehead.
"Yeah, whatever. Let's just go."
"Go where...?" You blink, starting at him confused.
And Rin can't help but chuckle at your cluelessness. He wonders if you know how cute you can be at times. But he won't tell you that, not now, at least. "To the desert place, remember?"
"OH! Right! Let's go!" You grin, grabbing his hand excitedly.
Rin hums, intertwining his fingers with yours before tugging you along.
And Rin is glad the day ended with him by your side rather than spending another minute in Sae's penthouse.
Yeah, he doesn't need his brother's affection when he has someone who can give him the love he craves.
