a black woman named zoe amira posted a video on youtube. this video is an hour long and filled with art and music from black creators. it has a ton of ads, and in result will rack up a ton of revenue. 100% of the ad revenue from the video will be dispersed between various blm organizations, including bail-out funds for protesters. it will be split between the following, dependent on necessity
brooklyn bail fund
minnesota freedom fund
atlanta action network
columbus freedom fund
louisville community bail fund
chicago bond
black visions collective
richmond community bail fund
the bail project inc
nw com bail fund

turn off your adblocker and put the video on repeat. do not skip ads. let it play on loop whether you’re listening or not. mute the tab if you need to focus elsewhere. but let. it. play.
youtube will donate to blm for you.
this tweet is such a perfect encapsulation of what the brain trust on twitter considers activism at this point, i swear to god
she was a child
she was a child trapped in a legendarily abusive studio contract where she was being pumped full of drugs and sexually abused by producers
what is the point? “think about this the next time you watch the wizard of oz”? and do what? this tweet is so pointless
not for nothing but she was also a lifelong advocate of the civil rights movement and held a whole press conference to denounce white supremacist terrorism after the 16th street baptist church bombing
there are politicians who did blackface in office right now
judy garland has been dead for 50 slutty, slutty years
I've been attempting to get access to HBO Max outside of America. Using a VPN with a proxy gets me onto the website, but in order to even begin a free trial the site wants your card information, and it doesn't accept payments from banks not established in the US.
I'm thinking it might be possible if you have an American acquaintance who can lend you their card information or even their HBO Max account, but I'm not certain. It's not an option for me in any case, as I don't know anyone in America, but maybe someone else can give it a shot?
I'm not an anti-piracy advocate, but I know that there are plenty of people who would much rather stream content legally, if for no other reason than in order to support their favourite shows. Just tossing this out there. Anyone got any ideas?
The single most beautiful girl you have ever seen.
Alan Dracula is definitely the star of season 2
so direct action is not an option available to you. what can you do right now instead?
Be mindful of the content you’re putting on your social media accounts. Stop retweeting/reposting violent images and videos of black people dying. Know that content like this, even with trigger warnings included, can be very emotionally disturbing/distressing and yes, even traumatic, for black people navigating the internet right now.
Report any images and videos you see where protestors’ faces are visible/unblurred, particularly in content surrounding the lootings. Don’t retweet or repost these images and videos. This can be a death sentence.
