Fourteen Days of My Hero Academia

Greetings, friends! The ending has been announced for beloved shounen manga My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi, and I thought it would be a nice opportunity for everyone to express their love of this amazing series! So I am posting a series of prompts for everyone if they would like to participate in this little fandom challenge.

The idea is that, on each day listed, you will create and post something with respect to the day's theme. By create, I mean whatever your heart desires. It could be a fanfic, a fanart, a fanvid, a moodboard, a diorama, a meta post, a screenshot, a poem, a drabble, a few sentences of reflection, anything really! Whatever your brain dreams up! The only requirements are that it qualifies as some sort of fan creation for MHA and that it pertains to the day's theme. The final day of the event will be the official release date of the final chapter of MHA: August 5th, 2024.

Any given day may have multiple prompts. You do not have to do all of them (unless you really, really want to), rather you may pick the one prompt that inspires you the most! And feel free to interpret each prompt however you like. For example, on day 8, you may wish to interpret "line" as a spoken piece of dialogue or as a drawn shape such as the way Horikoshi does creative paneling. On day 11, you could interpret "name" as a nickname, a code name, the kanji in a character's name, or any special meaning in a character's name. Let your imagination run wild!

You may skip out on days if you wish or need to. You may put as much or as little time and effort into this as you like. You could start working now to make some big works, or you could use this opportunity to do a little daily journal project. The sky is the limit! The goal here is to spend some time thinking about MHA before it ends and to make a collection of little fanworks for everyone to enjoy in the process!

One piece Wano thoughts part 1

I was kinda dreading those "filler" chapters before Wano starts, and Oda does what he does and makes it all so interesting. Shanks is able to walk in and talk with the elders?! The empty throne was such a cool idea for unison (even if it's actually a government lie). Who the fuck is Imu and why is there a giant straw hat?!

Struggling more than normal with following who is who with all the exposition happening and the very very Japanese names.

Love Luffy and Zoro together on their own. Sad that only lasted a minute. Zoro really wanting to see the sword Luffy straight up stole is hilarious.

Kaido's introduction is fantastic.

Mihawk caring about Perona as she's leaving makes the he's the adoptive dad headcannon official. Such a softy.

Do not believe Komurasaki is dead for one minute. Was thinking she was Momo's sister for minute but maybe not. (Update: HA! I was right)

Luffy using being in prison as a training opportunity is the most shonen thing ever

Mad we didn't get to see how Law got out of Hawkins trap. It's implied Drake helped, I guess. But not clear. (I just want to see my man doing more things)

That panel though of Law in cuffs, bloodied, kimono open....thank you Oda.

Kid being mad about Killer is super cute

Indifferent about the warlords being abolished so far. Will see where that goes.

Storytime with Sengoku is kinda funny. Like can't let him leave but can't give him any real jobs.

Oden's whole backstory got me crying by the end. Get it's part of the point, but shame him and Luffy don't get to interact, they'd have fun together.

meeting katsuki’s parents was… an experience.

you had prepared yourself for a lot—maybe his mom would be strict, maybe his dad would be intimidating, maybe they’d question your intentions. what you didn’t expect was for mitsuki bakugo to take one look at you, blink, then turn to her son with the most incredulous expression you’d ever seen.

“you’re messing with me.”

katsuki clicked his tongue. “what the hell are you talking about?”

she gestured at you. “this is your girlfriend?”

you smiled nervously and gave a little wave. “um, hi?”

she looked back at katsuki. “be serious.”

katsuki groaned, running a hand down his face. “yes, old hag, this is my girlfriend. what, you think i’m lying?”

mitsuki stared at you again, then back at katsuki, then back at you. “sweetheart,” she said, addressing you this time, “blink twice if you need help.”

masaru sighed from the kitchen table. “mitsuki…”

“no, seriously! you’re so cute, so polite—what do you even see in this angry little goblin?” she continued, gesturing wildly at her son.

you giggled. “he’s not that bad.”

katsuki scoffed. “damn right i’m not.”

mitsuki ignored him. “so, what? you just… like him? like, willingly?”

you nodded. “mhm! he’s actually really sweet when you get to know him.”

mitsuki looked so unconvinced. “are we talking about the same kid? blond, loud, temper worse than mine?”

masaru chuckled. “it does seem surprising, dear.”

“i don’t get what’s so shocking about this!” katsuki snapped, crossing his arms. “i’m a catch, damn it!”

mitsuki smirked. “you’re something, alright.”

you just squeezed katsuki’s hand, beaming up at him. “i think he’s perfect.”

he huffed, ears tinged pink. “damn right i am.”

mitsuki clapped you on the back—hard enough to almost knock you over. “you’ve got patience, i’ll give you that. welcome to the family, sweetheart. you’re gonna need all the luck you can get.”

14 Days of MHA - Day 9: Legacy, Story, Past, Childhood

More Hawks appreciation today. Giving some love to this precious little boy who achieved his dreams, working alongside his hero. Making the world a better place where heroes will have some free time.

I have all the feels. At the root of it, I'm happy. My heart is so full. This story nestled its way into my heart. A flash forward was a perfect send off, with all the little notes and teases of what happened to get there.

I want more, of course I want more. I want to a whole series of them finishing their school years, a whole series of them as pros together. I'll take anything and everything if I'm being honest.

But this is Horikoshi's story. This is his ending. And it was beautiful. The immense pressure and balance to write a story like this. Horikoshi, you created something amazing. Thank you. Thank you for all of it.

And thank you fandom. Ya'll crazy sometimes, but I love it here. Books still need to be printed. Scenes still need to be animated. We've got plenty left.
