this is a hot take but I’m pretty sure 99% of the people I see hating on AJR are just... neurotypical.

Like sure the lyrics aren’t always great. but I’m not here for the lyrics I’m here for the weird noises that make my dopamine machine go brrr. Listening to music as a neurodivergent person is just such a fully sensory experience and I simply do not think NT people can ever actually fully understand the way a song like Bang! perfectly scratches the itch in my brain.

You’re allowed to not like AJR. That’s your opinion. But have you ever considered that maybe their music is just... not made for you?
