I just started playing Indiana Jones.
HOW ARE THERE NO INDIANA JONES PROFESSOR LAYTON XOVERS ON AO3 OR FANFICTION.NET!?!?!?!
Posting an art so I feel like I'm contributing to the void!
You know, when they aren't actively beefing, I think they're pretty good friends!
Spin the wheel. That's who's trying to kill you.
Spin the wheel again. That's who's trying to protect you.
This plus @justkillingthyme 's tags, because I played games 2, 3, 5, and 6 before playing 1 and 4, and lemme tell you, I could NOT figure out the beef (but I still had a GREAT time).
Perks of having played Miracle Mask as your first ever Layton Game:
You get introduced to Layton knowing how to fence as a natural part of his character, and not as something that might seem out of nowhere in a very epic scene
You're nostalgic for the very epic Carnival World
Very epic minigame flashback section in your first Layton Game
Very epic section where you can figure out what happened at the scene of the crime and feel really smart in your first Layton Game
Sth, sth, advantages the 3DS has gameplay wise I guess, since I like the way you play on the 3DS a little better
Disadvantages of having played Miracle Mask as your first ever Layton Game:
What is a Descole and why do they know each other???
question because i'm curious...
+ tell me your favorite pokemon/reasoning in the tags i'm nosy
I do have mixed feelings about AI, but this is a blast. https://www.buzzfeed.com/sarahaspler/spirit-halloween-costume-generator
Guess who.
Mild Curious Village spoilers under the cut
I'd like to add that someone harming Luke or Flora would push him over the edge. I'm sure he would for Katrielle or Alfendi when they were younger, or Emmy if she was in that situation, but really I've only seen them when they are old enough to defend themselves, so I can't say. And it wouldn't be in a controlled way, which I think he would do in defense of himself or others, especially innocents. It would be in a you-have-hurt-the-child-in-my-care way. Flora is alone in terms of human relatives, and Luke is usually FAR from home, so I wouldn't be surprised if he had a papa bear instinct specifically for his charges.
There's a fanfic that takes place during the Ace Attorney crossover game where Layton rages. Spoilers for the game, but if you don't care, I didn't have too hard of a time following: https://archiveofourown.org/works/49064023
It is finished and very well written, but heed the tags and take care of yourself as always.
Sometimes I like to think about what it would take to make Professor Layton ever hit someone. Like how far does he need to be pushed? Or would he never at all?
Wait, no, that was good. I'm using that.
obsessed with how don paolo talks
Hot tip: if your Jedi character says “I have a bad feeling about this” something bad needs to happen.
When anakin says this in the arena in AOTC, like 200 Jedi get killed in the next ten minutes, and a war begins. If the situation looks bad, but is going to resolve itself just fine, your Jedi will have a good feeling about it. You the author, presumably know what is going to happen, and your Jedi’s vague premonitions should act accordingly
Originally nobody was talking about it, but Rucy posted a detailed list regarding the guidelines themselves. If you want full detail as to what exactly they want, you can go here.
LEVEL 5 has posted guidelines regarding how the content of the Professor Layton games should be shared. Although in Japanese, here is a link to their official Twitter post from their Layton branch. (Here is a link to the post itself in case the twitter one is taken down.)
It means that everything Level 5 related is at risk of being purged. This includes (but is not limited to) cutscenes and (some) gameplay. Yes, although it is only for the Layton series right now, they could push this for other IPs as well.
Originally, I thought to not worry as the guidelines were written in Japanese, therefore via common sense it'd be stupid if they went after English speaking content.
However, things can always change in the future, and after seeing Level 5 taking down an English speaking video featuring Level 5 gameplay just recently, it's enough to raise an eyebrow.
Preferably, archive whatever you feel needs archiving. We don't know a lot of details nor can foretell what the company may do, especially with media in other languages / outside of Japan, but it's best to be safe rather than sorry.
And when making content related to Level 5 on platforms such as YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram, etc, be wary and always have a backup. It's hard to say to also adhere to the guidelines as it's not officially translated, but if that were to happen, you should do that as well.
I know Keefe is the obvious (and probably correct) answer, but my case for Biana is solely because I can't imagine lying in a pool of your own blood after being shredded by glass and thinking to myself "oh my gosh. this is how I die"
I dont think we as a fandom think about it that much, since Biana came back with a VENGENCE about it (showing her scars, standing tall, "I'm not gonna let them keep me down" etc). And that's amazing for her! "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all" type shit. 10/10.
But she was, what, 14, 15? She was a little girl in an adult's war, all these kids are. She is strong and beautiful and brave but also so, so little and young and bright.
I know, I know all these kids are going through similar stuff. But I can't imagine just lying there, in pain and afraid as you hear your brother scream your name in search of you. And a little whisper in your head goes, "he's not gonna find me in time"
Roman Catholic female who's a little too neurospicy for her own good.
