i wanna preface by saying i don’t believe in the whole theory… i just like to indulge in it in an alternate universe sort of way ( not taking it seriously lol )

i realized drawing halfway in that i drew them in the sgt. pepper’s release day outfits ( which you can see here ) so it might not be accurate in terms of ‘replacing’ Paul ☠️

the boys’ speech bubbles are the color of their sgt. pepper’s uniforms ( hopefully it’s easy to read ! )

as for how i see the whole theory: i think george is suspicious of ‘Paul’ ( Billy ) and obvious doesn’t want to call him that or accept him. John’s just happy he has ‘Paul’ back with him but does has his moments where he gets paranoid about the situation. And Ringo’s just happy to be there HELP

i might make more stuff regarding the theory in the future just cause it’s fun but we’ll seeee thank you for listening

Ok ok ok idk if I’m just insane or way too deep down the rabbit hole or what but listen here’s the thing

am I CRAZY or does the John/Paul “were they in love???” Conversation feel embedded into the Beatles history at this point? You literally C A N N O T tell this story without including this element. To exclude it at this point in time feels totally irresponsible.

Not to mention it’s not that niche anymore is it? It’s broken containment? Right?

with fucking Bill Maher telling Julian his dad looked like he was in love with Paul, to Sheffield pointing it out in his book, and with Now and Then being widely discussed as a love song from John to Paul…. Like, there’s so fucking WAY Sam Medes can tell this story without including their homoerotic tension.

the image of paul writing here, there, and everywhere at kenwood while john is sleeping and he’s waiting for him to wake up will haunt me till the day i die. just the softest and most romantic but also bittersweet picture. john awaking from his nap to find that paul has written one of the most beautiful love songs of all time at his poolside. and it being inspired by “god only knows” by the beach boys. and john telling paul while they were shooting help that he liked it better than any of his songs on the record. and john still saying in 1980 it’s one of his favourite beatles songs. and it being paul’s favourite song he’s ever written and him always bringing up john’s fondness for it. ripping my hair out.
