Child it's 2 am

I am not dealing with another crisis today

Every time he falls asleep… the nightmares begin

Something weird that I just do

I call people child (and kid sometimes)

No matter how old they are or what gender they are

They are child to me

34 year old man? Child.

2 year old? Kid.

16 year old girl? Child.

That kid who is in the grade above me? Child and kid.

The only exception is people my own age or people I know personally.

The reason I do this is because child and kid are gender neutral names

So it's easier most of the time

The dragon was even more confused when a smaller thing showed up and stole one of the dragon's cups but it let it because it had sensed it had known the thing.

The dragon is confused. If the people from the nearby kingdom didn't want him to eat them, then why do they keep on sending him appetizers pre-wrapped in shiny foil and wielding a metal toothpick?
